They wouldn’t let me exchange my coins for cash because of “security reasons”. All I had was some spare change on me of a few dollars that I wanted to be exchanged for bills but they wouldn’t let me do that at customer service. I used to work Customer Service at Price Cutter on South National and I know for a fact that they are lying. I did whatever the customer told me to do and I did it, even if it was something as weird as exchanging coins for cash. Why is it that I’m apparently the only Customer Service Associate out of all of them at every Price Cutter that does this? I shouldn’t have to worry about something like this but here I am. Where I’m from the only way to exchange cash was through Customer Service so it makes no sense that almost every Price Cutter I go to just doesn’t like it for some reason. I’m not stealing in any way, shape, or form, I just want to exchange my coins for dollar bills.

The store was very clean and laid out nicely. The produce looked fresh and clean. They had a nice variety of products. The hot food at the cafe inside look good, not like it had been sitting for hours. The deli looked clean and well kept. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They all wore masks. It just seemed to me that their prices are a little higher than some of the other places I shop for groceries. Other than that it was a nice experience.

Why is it ever time I come to this store for fried chicken in their deli...they don't have any? It's Friday, 5pm...people getting off work are stopping for take out, and this place NEVER has any.This will be my last stop. Other places actually have product to sell at appropriate hours

Their bakery sold us a fruit pizza thing that was moldy. The manager told us to bring it back. They took it from us and refused to give us our money back. Don't recommend this store at all. Why would they tell us to bring it back and take it and refuse to give our $12 and some change back. Seems to be a little money to loose customers from ever coming back.

The only good thing about this store is the produce guy. He’s SUPER friendly and helpful. The bathrooms could literally win an award for the MOST disgusting bathroom I’ve seen in the last year. And I regularly camp and use outhouse bathrooms. Layout is weird. Def my last resort store.

Rotten fruit. Moldy vegetables, meat that has turned green- and to top it off, customer service is non existent. Honestly not sure how they remain in business.

I love shopping here but lately I can no longer afford to shop here. Prices are absolutely outrageous. I understand prices have gone up but almost 7$ for a 6 pack of mt dew??? Really price cutter ? Nearly 5$ for a loaf of bread and 6 bucks for hot dogs.??? My husband and I put many items back on the shelf and went down the street to Walmart and got many of these items for 3-4 bucks. Got the Mt Dew for 3.88! I would rather support a locally owned company but in this day in age we cannot afford your prices when everything has also gone up. I think you’re taking advantage of your costumers.

Good selection of goods. Store is always clean and in order. Price cutter does seem to be a little more expensive than other stores. Not sure why that is. Also a decent company to work for. Although their wages are not the best. All around a good store where you will most likely find whatever you need.

They're really dropping the ball! Deli hours are not being followed. Drove several miles arrived at.5:45 just to be told the deli is closed early. Poor customer service.

Please let cashier Brie know that the cheese and jalapeno bread sticks are sooooo good. She was so nice and asked if I had purchased these before and thought her kids might like them.. I haven't but told her I would let her know if they were good. They are soooooo good! You gotta try them. Hope you get this message. You were a light in my rather dark day. You have an amazing personality and I thank you!

I have always shopped here. The last 5 times I’ve ordered online for pick up I’ve had to go in… defeating the purpose. The order was either not ready or wrong. Mind you the staff is awful and all good employees left for better options. I will be shopping Hyvee from now on!

No shade to the employees but the self checkout is so frustratingly terrible with constant "please return to bagging area, unknown item in bagging area, wait for assistance" I genuinely might never come back. What's the point of even having it if somebody has to be there to click ignore every 5 seconds.

We go to this location all the time & it's usually such a nice store. Sadly I've noticed in the last month it has had a few issues. Last time I was here the produce department was not in very good shape. There were 6 eggplants and they all had huge bad spots on them. 50% of each one was brown & mushy. The tomato bar was half empty & the ones that were still there were withered & some were moldy. Today I had my 1 year old granddaughter with me and we got one of the shopping carts with the steering wheel. Both seat belts were broken and the steering wheels where about to fall off. If you want to have a nicer store you need to maintain your equipment.

I started shopping PC about 2 years ago when Walmart began their switch to self checkout. The prices are a little higher but I appreciate customer service. Today, I go in to make a purchase and 1 cashier seen, I was directed to the new self checkout. Bottom line valued more than customer service.

They have the best prices for personal cakes and cupcakes! It's not super thick sweet icing and the cake is delicious! I ordered both for my daughters first and second birthday. they are very helpful and nice. Thanks for making her big day less stressful!

It's a great place to pick up some really good quality fresh produce and fish and meat. Not to mention, for a grocery store, they have a great wine and beer selection. It's never crowded, never loud, and is usually a comfortable shopping experience. When I'm sent for food, I prefer to come to price cutter, and this one is the most convenient for me, so this is usually where I end up.

I have to say that there is a mature gentleman who works in the produce area that always goes above and beyond. I wanted fresh corn packaged and shucked but they didn't have any. He asked me how many I wanted and took 3 ears of corn, went to the back, shucked them and wrapped them for me. I was in total shock! I heard him talk to every customer in the area. Hands down, best associate in that store! The store is always clean and I find it to be pleasant shopping experience.

My last time at a price cutter. The prices have soared to where they are no longer competitive with other stores, which I can accept if you receive better service, but not at the west republic road store. One open register and the poor girl working it has to also help the self checkout leaving the already rediculously long line, and the only open register to get longer. The killer for me, the self checkout doesn't accept cash, so the only way to get two lemons and some tomatoes is to wait for the only cashier in the store to go through the entirely to long line and leave her station to help the self checkout. Left price cutter and went to Aldi's. Price or service. You have to provide at least one and this store fails at both.

Very nice and very clean. They're slightly more expensive than Walmart on a lot of things, but their target market is not the typical Walmart shopper. The only negative about this store is that one of their closing managers cares only about getting out of there fast vs being inconvenienced by customers who happen to go to the store near or at closing time.

Pharmacy deserves 5 stars! Great people working there! Knowledgeable, friendly, and fast service. The rest of the store is nice, clean, and a little higher priced by an average of about $1 - $3. Some more, some less.

Easily the best grocery store in Springfield. I go here for the fresh produce and the exotic fruits as well. The organic section is awesome! You can make your own Peanut Butter even. Its a little more expensive for some things but hey you get what you pay for. If you want fresh cilantro for your salsa this is the place to get it. You want to try a fruit filled with health benefits from the Jungles of South America. This is the store to go too! Oh not to mention this is the only store I buy meat from. They have sales all the time and have a large selection with a friendly staff quick to assist you.

I used this Price Cutter several years ago when we were in the area, but we moved away to another state until just last week. I needed help with figuring out how to do a money order, and I also bought groceries. All the clerks were very patient, kind, and friendly. One of the workers helped me find gluten-free items as well. The store has a very friendly hometown feel to it. I had several questions about money orders and it could have been annoying for the woman who helped me, but she was very courteous the whole time. I really appreciated that because I needed to get something in the mail, and it was important to her because it was important to me. :) I was so thankful everyone helped me today and I will definitely be coming back!!!

Nice clean store with great presentations of the salad bar hot and cold deli and the bakery. The wait at the register can sometimes take a while, typically only 1 or 2 open. Otherwise, a really nice store with friendly employees.

The worse vegetables in any store in Springfield. I have laid out rotten vegetables to the side, rotten side up and the person in charge has tucked them back in for sale. I told him about it and he laughs and walks away. He must make commision off of what they sell. Maybe that what employee owned means. My wife likes to shop here or I would never go back.

Great produce and deli. bakery used to be great but wow has it steadily gone down hill. Minimal selection , prices are way to high. Sadly the cakes , pastries and cookies taste like they were a frozen , generic brand that were left out to defrost and forgotten about for a few days before putting out on the shelves. Only good thing I can say is who ever decorates the cakes does a really great job. The kids loved how pretty the birthday cake was, but the pretty decorations were soon forgotten when upon cutting the cake we discovered it was the wrong flavor , that went over real well ! Kids didn't really say much about the cakes taste but most of the adults did because it was so dry and stale tasting. I really hate giving a bad review but I shopped at the old price cutter before they built the new store down the street . The employees were always friendly, they all seemed like they were happy with their jobs , every single time I checked out, either the person bagging my groceries asked if they could help me to the car , if I said no then at least 1 or 2 more employees asked me, I can't tell you how many times the store manager insisted on helping me on my way out, usually when I was wrestling 2 ornery kids. That kind of personal attention, respect and a very good staff is sadly missed , they actually wanted to help customers instead of a bunch of " younger people " talking and sitting on the conveyor belt at the registers and rolling their eyes if their chat is interrupted and being very rude. Fyi. I would never say negative things about a business based on a single visit . This has happened 4 times in the last 2 months. I've been to PC 4 times in the last 2 months . Sadly I'm done with them , I hope the other stores are run alot better then this one or were going to see another grocery chain go under.
