I want to say it was outstanding service from start to finish. I will say prices are little more on higher end but they aim to please. The aisles are wider so that customers can pass easily, however I only saw 2 riding wheel chairs. Very clean very old town feeling. Always fully staffed & frozen section is amazing. I'll say that during regular business hours bakery was closed maybe they do all that stuff early. Really enjoyed my time there.

I went to this location to pickup some Blazin sauce as I wasn't sure if they carried their sauces. Glad to have found it. Lady at checkout was grumpy. I'll have to update my post next time I pick up more sauces. The sauce is 5 stars and a must try!

It is easy to forget the smaller grocery stores and what they provide compared to a larger store. What they provide is unique items and great service. I needed Jello Coconut Pudding and they had it. Three big stores did not. Thanks for exceeding my expectations.

I rarely leave reviews but I am so annoyed. Went in there and spent a fortune btw. Asked for 6 of these and they gave me 4… payed for 6 though. They also just kept my guacamole I payed for too. If they weren’t on the other side of town I would definitely be going back.Definitely not coming back here

I have tattoos I didn't know that that was a crime and I really didn't deserve to be judged today whenever I was just trying to buy stuff for stew so I go back and I get a bunch of frozen meat and vegetables and the guy asked me if I needed paper or plastic very rudely he then puts all of my stuff in one bag he did not double bag it and this is meat that's bleeding with my vegetables like he put everything together the lady takes my money and proceeds to hold it up and look at it through the light take a marker and stand there for about 5 minutes to see if the dollar changed colors I felt very belittled I felt very judged and I just really can't believe that I just experienced this whenever I was just shopping trying to get something for dinner all because I guess I have tattoos or I don't look like I belong on the South side I'm not sure but it was very very distasteful and unprofessional and needless to say I don't care how good the meat is I will never go back into this place. I'm very sorry that you people have it in your heart to judge other people and look down on them it's very saddening and it's very sickening to me it really is and I'm sorry that that's the way that you guys live your life.....

We love Harbor House for their meats. General staples and most other foods are little more expensive, worth the convenience if you don't want to travel around for the cheapest prices. And the service is usually above par, but every once in a while....

The bagging here is phenomenal. They definitely don't try to cram 2 things into a bag that is clearly too small and then rip the bag, and then try to do it AGAIN? Which uses two bags anyway, and then they successfully get it in the one bag but it's too wide to hold with one hand so it defeats the purpose of the bag? Harter house Eastgate doesn't do that

My husband and I live in southwest Springfield and are actually closer to the one on Republic rd and the location in Nixa , but last night we were running errands and thought we would stop.and get our Thanksgiving meal ingredients#1 The location was well stocked especially on the items that are crucial to a successful Thanksgiving dinner. #2 The meat market employee was so helpful and polite. #3 Lastly the cashier was very cheerful and had a wonderful attitude. The carry out was polite and courteous he asked if we needed help with our groceries, we declined but he said thank you. This was definitely a 5.star visit and it maybe further to go but we will be back! Congratulations and good job! Signed two former retail employees who were highly impressed with the service and the prices.

I went to the Harter house on East sunshine yesterday around 8 PM and I went to the meat department to buy some pork chops And smoke pork shank and they were three young men cleaning up the scales closing duties . One of them looked at me didn’t greed me nor asked me if I needed any help I didn’t say anything to see how long it will take them to realize that there were two people standing in front of them it was a good five minutes before I was helped . then one of them realized well if the other two are not helping you I guess it’s gonna be my job to help you. I was highly and extremely disappointed that you will have employees like them in your store that are more concerned about cleaning the scales and talking to each other about personal business then doing their job because they are on your company clock. I hope this will be addressed with all of the employees and it will improve your customer service but right now I don’t think I should give you more than one star.

I usually don’t write these, but it was really nice. We were on a day trip, and we stopped in. They aren’t great with masking, but I don’t expect any place to be these days. However, the customer service was great. Both cash registers were friendly, and before us one helped a vet get some ice cream, and she complimented my hair. It was just a friendly environment.

A great place to find what you’re looking for especially in the meat department. Eric is always smiling and helpful and the quality of the meat department is top notch yet very affordable. The store is also clean on every visit and there are no self checkouts either which I absolutely love.If you smoke food like I do, this is the place to go!

The deli and butcher at this location is amazing. This is a fantastic place to step in and catch their lunch special, or just grab a half rack of ribs to take home. Their meat quality is high and never been a disappointment. Though it's a little pricier, the money is worth the better quality.

My parents shopped at Harter House for years and now that I've started buying meat from here it's hard to go anywhere else!! Everything is always so fresh and our favorites come from their lovely steak selection. Their prices are very fair too for the quality of the meat. We always love stopping into harter house on our grill nights, and they never disappoint!

This is your old time grocery store with a full butcher shop! The meat is amazing and they will cut it any way you like. The staff is so friendly. They put your items In the bags with your choice of paper or plastic. Your not going to believe this but they say, THANK YOU, and load your cart up!!! They even offer to take it to your car. You won't find a more warm and welcome feeling anywhere else. I love this store!!

The east gate location is my location. They are the best. They have a lot of kids working there, but they're good kids who work hard. They must have great managers to vet kids who work these days. Or maybe I'm just being a jaded old man.Good beer optionsGreat butcher

Harter House is a very nice and clean grocery store. You can easily spend considerably less on your day to day items at other stores but the quality of their meat is excellent. I love being able to get exactly what I want in the quantities I want them and not just prepackaged. Go for the high quality meats and you won't be disappointed.

Second year in a row;;We have gone in for last minute Thanksgiving supplies and again Harter House had what I needed. The customer service is A+++! We live in extreme southwest Springfield ( close to Battlefield Mo) but worth the drive! Thanks again. Blessings to all of the Harter House staff.

Christmas prime rib we have every year . Called to reserve a prime rib, they lost order. To make the short of the long of this, it was terrible! I know they are noted for there meat and w have been told how good there store was. Our family was here from Orlando and we were telling them what we were hearing about this place. Terrible Christmas dinner

They made mistake and then we as their customers have to paid for it.This is my first time at the Harter’s house. I came to buy and paid for 12 lobster tails. The seafood employee packed it for me in a white paper and when I got home there are only 11 tails. I called for customer service over there, and after about 5 minutes taking to him, he said I need to talk to a manager. The manager asked me to explain again. It is really frustrating. Then I called back and explained it to her, she said I need to bring my receipt to the super market and get the refund or a lobster. Is it worth to spend time on this situation??? Or even spending time and money on this market???

This is a locally owned supermarket, with the best meat department in Springfield. They also carry milk in glass bottles......so much better. Selection isn't as great in some things as it is in the large chain stores, but the service is excellent and prices are competitive. Excellent place to shop.

Best place for meats hands down. Beats out Hy-Vee, Walmart, etc by far. Also incredible customer service. It feels like you’ve stepped back into the 90’s in the best way!!

I stood at the meat counter for over ten minutes while they took care of people who walked up after me. When they asked who's next I said that would be me but still got no help . That was the Eastgate location, don't think they want business from construction workers. I recommend going somewhere else if you're in work clothes.

Go there 45 minutes before closing, but they could not cut meat or cheese because they shut down their slicers. Well then say you close at 8:15pm not 9:00pm. The employees not slicing meat in the back were rude I’m not coming back to Hater house.

They don't have the product selection of larger chain stores, but what they do have is always a quality product. I especially like the specialty foods section that includes gluten free products.

last month I visited My Son and Doughter in Springfield.I have been to your Store since 76 when it was on s. Cambell,a hole in the wall,however your Meats where always excellent.As always,I planned to cook Dinner for 12.I went to your store and spend about $200 on some Bone in Ribeye steaks.I was a Corporate Executive Chef for some of the finest Hotels in this country as well as in Europe so i do know how to cook a Steak.These Ribeyes were the poorest of Quality I have ever bought at your place.I could have done better at Walmart.PS.I cant wait for Costco to open!!!!Seems to me you need to go back to basics instead of just raising Prices.

Recently had a small problem with a cake from the Republic store & was more convenient for me to return it to the Sunshine store. Store manager and employee could not have been nicer!! Replaced the cake without any questions!! Have been a long time shopper & this is why!! Was in the store again today & got steaks for my bday & they were delicious!! Highly recommend!!
