All the employees rock , the problem is the GM of the store . Pet or Peter not sure, is always disrespectful to the hard working employees in front of the customers !!! No wonder why turn over is so so high !!! New GM please !!!

The one place in town, that the employee's are always friendly and helpful. East Sunshine store is the only one of the 4 or more in town, I shop at. It is always clean and easy to move around the store. If it isn't, it's only because of the delivery trucks coming at the same time.

They ran out of TP. Apparently some virus has got people buying it in bulk and hoarding it. Store is nice. Staff is friendly.

I have been in a lot of Dollar generals throughout the nation. None of them like this one on Sunshine in Springfield MO! The man working the register in the morning of Jan 1st 2022 is the best!!! Friendly and efficient and always has a smile on his face. I drive 2 extra miles to go to this one because of how clean it is. Thanks Dollar general for doing it right with this store and staff!!!P.S. wish I would have got the name of the guy at the register, that's why I gave a date.He needs a raise for sure!!!!!!

Nice clean organised store. Staff is friendly and over exceed their duties. Always willing to lend a hand if u need it. The chick that works behind the counter with the tattoos all over her arms is killing it! Very quick to get u through the line and out the door with a smile.

Prices were better than I remembered from year’s past. And selection was broader, too. Needed a pair of “throw-away” tennis shoes while driving through town, and was able to pick a pair up (that were even cute) for 8 bucks. Pretty great.

Excellent customer service but where is the crew to put away alllllll that stock?? There's piles of organized product everywhere one might look, but much of it is still shrink-wrapped and on racks? Maybe it was truck day, but they obviously need workers. I'm pretty sure I saw Now Hiring posters. Tell your friends!

Both check out machines very slow. Several minutes just waiting for them to work. Sales Ladies nice and apologetic and did all they could to speed things up. Corporate needs to fix this!

Only one cashier, and there was a long line of customers waiting to pay. Will say one thing, the one cashier on duty was very calm and collected. She did her job and did it well! They need to hire more help!

I made a purchase that included a bottle of wine. The cashier asked for my id. I had recently changed purses and forgot to put my id in the new purse. I am 58 years old. No need to ever card me. They refused to sell it to me. I will never go back. No other retailers card me or would refuse me. Totally unacceptable..

I expect a lot from food service venues. They must be clean and customer friendly. I feel this particular venue on east Sunshine is disappointing. I complained before but the message has fallen on deaf ears. Sorry folks this Braums unit is not for me!

absolute WORST experience at this dollar general i have ever had. i’m not one to usually write reviews, but this was just so unacceptable. there were 3 people in line including myself and 1 cashier was working helping someone else with a return AND cashing someone else out not paying a bit of attention. didn’t give they lady her receipt and she still had 3 or 4 items still not bagged so she had to bag them herself, while another one was standing behind the counter messing around and when asked if she was open she proceeded to say “oh, i’m on break” but yet CONTINUED TO STAND THERE AND DO NOTHING until i was checking out then she decided to open her lane to a gentleman with one item. both were unbelievably rude as well. they didn’t give a care in the world. cannot believe the service at this place!

Terrible terrible cashier !!! A long haired young man , whose hair wasn't pulled back out of his face so he could even see what he was doing, he didn't address any of the customers, was not friendly, and when he gave me change back, he didn't count it out, and threw it on the counter, all waded up and said , "there u go " ridiculous. Where has customer service gone? I won't be going back to this location for a long time.

The mail Manager that I have dealt with a couple of times is not very friendly. He could use some customer service skills. There is plenty of other places to get toilet paper and trash bags.

Digital coupons are the way to go at this place. Just download the DG app and you can get emails and texts with lots of specials. Save money 💰this way. You might have to put up with a worker with an attitude occasionally, depending on the location, but generally a good place to shop. Sometimes they're out of things in there ads but they said I could shop online if I'd like to but haven't tried it yet.

It's very bipolar real up and down I can't tell what's wrong when I come in sometimes. Like I don't know just there's a vibe about a couple associates I've been there a while that is bipolar like happy and then emo and then happy and then emo every other time one is kind of up there at the store and that's all I'll say otherwise I love it Hi everyone

Nice valentines stuff on sale. Nice staff. I bought a bunch of little gnome figures for my flower pots and they took the time to wrap them nicely. Very very clean.

Think of a general store for a neighborhood. They have soda, cookies,ready fix meals (dry goods), canned goods, sheets, clothes, socks, birthday candles _plates_napkins, and holiday decorations. I love to buy their Christmas gift bags for office presents.

I bought a stick of deodorant about a week or so ago. The mechanism inside the stick bound up and I couldn't extend the deodorant any further out. I took it back to the store and asked if I could just exchange it for another. I didn't have the receipt and was promptly told that NO... The guy that was telling me this, was now sounding like I was trying to pull some sort of a scam... Let me fill in the blanks on me... I'm 60 and retired military, don't think I'm the scam kind of guy... the more this guy told me no the more I was determined to find a different answer. I asked for the district manager and after some balking, he gave it to me, store number and name of the district manager. When I asked him for his name, he refused... and of course he was not wearing a name tag...Beware of this store... it's unfortunate because I try take every opportunity to go anywhere other than a Wal-Mart... but with this type of customer service, Dollar General is signing its own extinction order...

The cashier named Shelby told everybody in line she had to pee. Gross and unprofessional. Said she didn't make enough money to watch her mouth. Then complained about wanting all the customers to leave. I'll try hard not to come back to this store

Had to use the bathroom before shopping and the bathroom was out of order so I couldn't shop or buy anything cuz I had to go somewhere else to use the bathroom otherwise I would have probably bought quite a bit of stuff I'm sure it's not their fault stuff happens but that's what happened to me yesterday

It's a place where usly . You can go in and grab and go . Yes just like any other places that has multi stores they all may cary something different . And depends on the location most of the time the clerk's are really nice ....

For the fourth time in a row at this store, multiple items that I purchased rang up at a higher price than they were marked on the shelf. I think it's too many items and too many visits to this store for this to happen accidentally. I will not shop here again, but if you do, be warned: watch the prices as they ring up!

If you need something quick at a good price this is the place to go. You can get great deals on laundry detergent here especially if you use their electronic coupons.
