West Battlefield, Springfield MO location, employee named Thomas at about 4:40pm on February 23rd decided to disappear and leave only the self checkout open which I can't do because my arm is in a cast and I needed assistance. About 10 minutes later finally comes out from smoking his weed or whatever he was doing and totally ignores me and opens up a different register and starts helping other customers! The only answer I got was a stupid look and suggestion that I go to the back of the new line! It will be a long time before I step into that Dollar General again!

I had ran into Dollar general for a couple things obviously that never works in my favor. The little girl that help me and answered so many questions for me her name was Emma and she was so freaking sweet she helped me, she answered questions I had about an item and smiled the whole time. These are the type of places that I like to go I don't like cranky I don't like rude and so far today every place I've been have been great adventures. High kudos Emma, and Dollar General you did a great job hiring her.

I like the old store better, they have the new I also much closer together and lots of sides to ask make it very difficult to get around with a cart. They do offer a pretty good selection for the modest-sized of the store. They even have a fair selection of frozen and refrigerated food and beverage items, including beer. The employees are usually friendly and helpful.

I live in a small town where there is only one Dollar general.2 years ago when I moved here it was a complete wreck there was baskets full of product waiting to be put on the shelves everywhere.it was just a mess.it now has a new manager and they have really cleaned the place up everyone is so friendly.They're doing a great job.

This location is Definitely leading the pack!!! They are Extremely Friendly and Helpful!!! The staff are always available to assist!! The store is Always clean and organized!! The shelves are always Freshly stocked!!! They can show the other locations a thing or 2!! They set the Bar High!! They are Top Notch Service!!! Love this Location!!! I shop here weekly!!!! Drew should Train Every Location!!!

You can tell they've raised prices to pay for new building. The check out price mom process is confusing,cramped, and ridiculous. I realized it's to prevent loss, but the cashiers are expected to watch the people for shoplifting while arguing cooperate policy about coupons with a customer who cannot grasp the fact that no, it's not about customers. It's about cheap, unhealthy food that caters to the poor. It's about useless, plastic, cheap items, made in another country. It's about low pay and more responsibility. It's about not enough hours so your shopping around boxes. It's just another greedy new Wal-Mart. It's a Dollar General. Hardly anyone there usually. When there is it's packed. So go late or early. You can kill the hello when I walk in. It's only so cashier can notice you to see if you fit shoplifting profile.

The workers was humorous, on her knees looking up at a customer(me) she started laughing, trying to explain her reason for her position, she was trying to read a price label. I thought she was kind & respectful!! The world could use more workers like her!!

Best dollar general hands down! they have the friendliest staff ever micah and this other man that work there he is like a model looking guy always smells of cologne make every shopping experience top notch I drive an hour away just to shop at this store! Couldn't ask for a better staff!!! Thank yall so much!

I give 5 stars to the little blond girl. she is always nice and knows how to do her job very well she is in there every morning alone. Running the place with no problem's. This little girl is gonna go big places.

Great staff. Clean store. I was very impressed by the friendly staff. I will recommend this store to everyone looking for a dollar general that has a staff that truly seem to like their job and have pride in doing a job well done 👍.

If I had to suggest one thing maps would change - it would provide you with an address under where you visit. I travel a lot I go to a lot of Dollar generals some I've only been in once and will never go back some I visit quite often. I just want to give credit for credits due and a thumbs down where they deserve it.

My Last TWO Experiences with Dollar General have been Waaaaay Less than Pleasant.Two Weeks ago. I went in around 830PM. Initially planning to pick up a Few Items. (Never Works That Way)Anyhow, I was Shopping and Not ONCE was there Any announcements made the Store would be Closing. (Pick your final selection and check out)...No, I was Rudely Informed that the Store Was Infact CLOSED, I had to Leave! HAD TO LEAVE? I Was ALLOWED TO Check Out 173$ rolling out Their Door! A bit Disturbed by how Unusually Odd the Visit Ended, just to get to My vehicle and discover I had Locked myself out of the Car.Its Pouring Down Rain. And the Two Employees Inside? I couldn't get Their attention!So I hid my Shopping cart around the side of the Building and began walking to the Gas Station just East of the Dollar General. Remember, its now almost 10PM , Pouring Rain and Im Praying my cart isn't discovered and everything purchased isn't a complete Loss due to the Employees refusing to acknowledge My Presence prior to my Walk.The young lady working at the gas station happened to have a wire hanger in her car. Yay! So I made my way Back to the Store. No Go on the wire hanger and getting into the car.I contact a Local Pop-A-Lock .While awaiting their arrival, I am soaking wet, my cart and purchases ARE Soaking wet...I can now SEE the Two Employees inside the store. ALL I Wanted to Know was, IF I could atleast put my Shopping cart Inside the Store while I waited. The young man? Not sure if he could Speak? He NEVER SAID A WORD! The young lady? Ummm. Rude. Put Out. Hateful. Refused to assist me. She didn't even allow me to ask a question THROUGH THE DOOR!UNBelievable !!! I was Mortified by her Lack of Empathy. As well as her Entire Overall Hateful Dismissive Attitude! She was Rude from the Moment SHE Said they were Closed, check out now or leave. WoW.So, I continue to wait for the Roadside Service to arrive. Outside, in the Rain. Im walking back and forth under the Awning of the Store to Stay OUT of the Elements. SHE hollors to Me that I Cannot COME IN! Lady, I've Not asked to COME IN!They Each Start their vehicles from Inside the Store. Because of the Weather outside.They Walk out together, saying Nothing! They young man gets in His Vehicle two Spaces from Me . Nothing. He NEVER Said Anything.The Girl.... As She Gets Into Her Vehicle, backed in across the Lot.She YELLS, "I'll pray for You" .Laughing and Drives Away.THAT'S ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS Particular Visit to Dollar General on West Battlefield!HORRIBLE AND UNBELIEVABLE

It's a good store but I was $2 short buying a fan 2 weeks ago and had them put it on my ATM bank card I had $5 left on it. So they ran it for $12 instead of $2 so it overdrew our bank acct. So the fan cost $17 plus $36 overdraft fee. This was an expensive fan!

This a Dollar General that has been put in a great location in springfield it is on west battlefield just west of golden rd. There are a few apartment buildings near by. And even though this city is getting bigger this dollar general with the open field to the west and the lovely employees that remember your name and greet u with a smile makes u feel good to shop there.

I do love my neighborhood DG!! DG has some really good deals, if you're a bargain shopper. Gotta pick and choose. But nevertheless I can always be in and out at this location quick. Thanks DG!!

I used to buy socks here that were made for people with diabetes, even though I don't have diabetes. They were the most comfortable socks!! I was told they discontinued them! :(

Purchased greeting cards for a burthday and a wedding. Good selection. My only complaint was there was only one check pi operator when we got ready to check out.

The layout around the checkout area is a little cumbersome, but the service is friendly and they always have what I need at good prices. Except milk.... Milk is too expensive here.

Twice in one week, was charged full price, on 2different items that were on sale, ice cream and smith field bacon, west battlefield store. I walk, and I'm elderly, on very limited budget.🤔went back, both things were corrected, and actually received right price, and my receipt☺

It's pretty messy in there. Stock everywhere, shelves disorganized. However, the employees are helpful in finding items for you.
