Older gentleman was waiting for about 5 minutes for workers. Then started to ask loyally if anyone was around. I just got in eye sight when he starts telling me how long he’s been waiting and asking if I’ve seen anyone. Worker comes around mad that the man was yelling about needed assistance and jokes about free groceries since no workers around. Manager who I guess is to good to work a register then asks if he needs help. He says “no she beat you too it, try again next time”. Manager then starts complaining about how she’s not even supposed to be up front. Great work attitude. I mean dude looked he was in pain just standing. He had 2 knee branches and crane. Great workers here.

Nice clean store. Lots of stuff to choose from but it's Always Self Checkout and employees standing behind registers, I have a full time job and I don't work for dollar general.

The blonde manager on duty was cussing out one of the co workers in one of the aisle in front of customers, extremely unprofessional. 10/10 would NOT recommend. This is also not the first time I’ve seen her do this.

I have been going to this store almost everyday for over two yrs now. The old manager, was absolutely amazing! A few months back she's no longer there and a guy is. He is the absolute worst!! Rude, and unprofessional! I've seen him be rude to many other people when I've been in there. Today I went in, he cashed me out, texting or playing on his phone, I use my card, its saying "processing" on my side..cause its waiting on the cashier, he is still on his phone not paying attention, I tell him the register is waiting on you, as he pushes the button on the register he lies and says "no it was waiting on you" I told him that no it wasn't, it said processing on my side, Then, still playing on his phone, he throws my receipt away. I get my bags and ask him, where is my receipt? He starts going thru the trash.. Then he goes on to say how busy he is cause he's running 3 stores, I told him it might help if he puts his phone down while cashing people out. He gets rude and tells me he's doing his job, I told him he's nothing but a rude person and I'll be sure to let the manager know, he follows me out the store yelling at me and tells me he is the manager, I turned around and asked for his name, which he refused at first and then told me Sean Lewis. This behavior is absolutely not acceptable!!! And I told him how unprofessional he was following customers out the store to yell at them. He has no business being a manager that's for sure!!

Visited here multiple times and as long as the main manager isn't there the experience isn't bad. The set up may be off, but that's nothing to how the guy treats his employees AND his customers!!! Talks to anyone and everyone like a dog, will tell them that they need to just be quiet and wait. I have actually set my items down and left because of the way he was going off on one of the worker and snapped at a lady letting him know she was setting an exchange item down. He's been reported and the company does nothing. I feel sorry for the workers who are terrorized by this monster

Oh man I’d love to thank the women who mentioned me by name in these reviews. Also I don’t work there anymore so you don’t have to worry about “my poor service” because the entire system hated taking PayPal along with other horrible types of payments like checks. Also I really remember that women and you are one of the main reasons I quit because of people like you with sticks up their bums who think all cashiers are suppose to kiss the ground you walk on. But other than that the store is not that bad honestly haven’t been in there since I quit but who knows maybe it’s changed since I was there.

I've been in some run down stores before and this isn't one of them. Everytime I go in there it is clean. The workers are nice, just the other night one had a comedian show going on.It's not fancy by far, but for when you need something it's the place to go.

Its convenient and cheap. I can usually get what I need there. My only complaint is the aisles are always blocked by merchandise waiting to be stocked and no one seems to be working on it... kind of a pain if you are using a cart.

This store was very dirty both inside and out. No one greeted us with a hello even though she saw us come in. She was stocking shelves and looked up at us as we entered. When checking out not a word said until she gave me my receipt and I was leaving. She said, "have a good day." I'm tired of spending my money in establishments and not getting a thank you! They hand you your receipt and say, "here you go." FRUSTRATING

I'm giving them 3 stars because they don't always have what I am looking for. If it wasn't for that I would have given them 4 stars. The people who work there are friendly and helpful except for 1 lady and she acts like she doesn't care if you are a happy customer or not. There is a man and another lady that are always friendly and helpful. When they don't have my items I'm looking for and there is boxes that have been delivered sitting right there beside where the items I'm looking for are stocked I ask them if they are in the boxes and that lady acts like it would kill her to check. That's the only store that does that. She acts like it would be too much work for her. Lol

Store was very clean today at store on Chestnut expressway, in Springfield. The store by my house and Willard is always full of carts that they have to unload that they didn't he can't get through at store hardly I have a handicap scooter. I can't get through the aisles at that store . I would give the store in Willard zero Stars.. today I bought some chips and clover valley vinegar and salt chips the very good first time I tried them

Always understocked. Selections on items are limited. There always seems to be more items on a pallet in the middle of the isle than on the shelves. Associates are always friendly though.

I love that DG is so quick to get in and out of! They carry decent supply of most necessities for a fast run to store. However, it seems that they always have boxes of product that needs to be stocked and is sitting in the way. Makes it hard to get around!!

Gina the store manager at the Dollar General in Springfield MO is great. She went above and beyond her normal suites to get a product for me. She keep in contact with me and when it came in she call me. Than you Gina for helping a girl from another state have piece of home here. I am really enjoying my SunDrop.

Very friendly staff and more organized then other stores by me. There is a store closer to me but that one is always crowded, long lines, extremely expired products on selves ect. I go out of my way to go to this store because it's together a lot more! Keep up the good work!

Beware: Woman working there named Michael will treat you like you are less than human if you pay with your paypal account. I think I would have been treated better if I had been paying with a welfare check going by her attitude and the way she represented herself.

Never fails at the one on W Kearney........better have alotta free time cuz u will stand in line for a good while. At least i did the last 3 times i was there. In all fairness......its not all the employees fault, its the "where am i & what am i doing" customers that frequent the place

I don't know how they normally look, but on the day I went in (Wed, 2/26/20), the store was in absolute SHAMBLES. I went in looking for a toy for my 3 year old son, and the toy section looked like it was NUKED FROM FRICKIN' ORBIT!! The rest of the store was cluttered, unorganized, half the shelves were completely barren, and even shelves that DID have stuff on them the product was all mixed up together. It was atrocious and completely unacceptable. Bad form, DG. You can do better. You lost my business this day.

Seems like Everytime I go in there, I'm reminded that I keep saying I wouldn't. The associates act like it's the worse thing to see a customer and always seems to be in a sour mood. Plus, it is the most unorganized store I've seen ... Never. can. find. anything!Sorry.

Extremely rude African American female clerk kept me waiting while she had a casual conversation with a manager,could it be reverse racism? Then the item I purchased rang up at $7.75,not the $7.15 it was marked on the shelf,an obvious sign of "bait & switch", a crooked way to increase store profits. Please don't shop here,but if you do,check your receipt because they don't care!!

It was abDollar General Store , there was 10 people waiting in line at the register and no cashier in sight all this was going on while a Blue Chrysler 300 was selling meth on the east side of the building too a guy and a woman from Price Cutters in a Blue/Green Chevy or Saturn 2 door car , Typically a normal day at the Dollar Store

A pretty good place I almost always grab meds from when I'm sick since it's so close but I've noticed alot people try to shop lift from here jus the other day I seen it happen and the lady working handled it very professionally.
