Fist time at a Costco, 2 things I disliked where. 1. The cafe set up. They are basically taking customer service out of the equation.2. The employee don't where anything to distinguish themselves from customers, other than a name badge.Two things I liked about Costco.1. The quality of the Kirkland brand is great2. Everything was full and displayed and the end caps where set with the correct time of year.

I LOVE COSTCO! Great products at decent prices. I think their quality is the best. The store is spotless, the staff friendly and helpful, and you get samples!!!If you haven’t been in, try it! The gas is a great deal too!

This Costco is the only one in my area; the next closest one is in Kansas City. I'm happy to have a Costco here. My only complaint is that it's so hard to find an employee to ask for help. You need to go all the way to the checkout area. Other than that, the checkout process is fast, and the products here are of good quality.

Delicious food for a steal of a price! A foot long, all beef hot dog AND a refillable fountain drink for $1.50. You can’t beat that.The only problem I had, was their kitchen seemed under staffed for the sheer amount of people that were buying lunch.

I like shopping at Cosco, but checking out is so chaotic. It's way too crowded. Too many things going on in the check-out area. But I am happy with all of the organic products they carry.

Oh, I love this store! It has quality merchandise in bulk. The building is quite large so make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. They have everything from clothing, books, fresh produce, dairy, deli items, bakery, as well as dog food, canned soups and nuts. I highly recommend the Kirkland brand which is the actual Costco brand. A lot of times they offer really great deals, and the quality is top notch. You do have to purchase a membership to enjoy all the benefits such as discounted rates at the Costco fuel pumps. They also offer their credit card with point rewards. I love this place!

Everything went pretty smoothly. I bought a pizza before doing my shopping so that I wouldn't have to wait for it to cook since I was alone with 5 of my kids. As I was finishing shopping and about to head to the register to pay, I hear my pizza number called out and I walk over to pick it up. Turns out they gave away my pizza right before I got to the counter. They said they'd get me another one but 10 minutes later they still hadn't started it. Luckily one of the employees took initiative and used the pizza they were using as individual slices. We ended up getting a different pizza than we ordered but it all ended up OK. Just frustrating that they gave some else my pizza and I had to wait another 20 minutes

I love Costco, every time I'm out I try to convince my spouse we should go here even just to look around. The free samples are great, prices on clothes are great, gas is always amazing, and you never know what neat thing you can find for a good deal. The only bad thing I can say is sometimes you find a product you really like and then they get rid of it for a while. But those dollar hotdogs make up for it!

Love the items and prices. The only reason I am not leaving five ⭐s is because it is incredibly inconvenient and a hassle to access the restrooms before purchase, especially with kids and mobility issues in the mix. Please find a way to have the restrooms accessible without having to interrupt other customers checking out experience. It is quite a poor set up.

Pros:*Closest Costco to Northwest Arkansas (approximately 2hrs all interstate)*Lots of great restaurants in Springfield which makes it a nice day trip.*Brand new and wasn't ridiculously crowded on a Tuesday afternoon.*Lots of treasure hunt items. Women's Levi's for under $15. $24 huge 4ft tall blue ceramic planter; in a garden center it would be well over $150*Courteous associatesCons:*Ridiculously high food prices. Inflation, heavy organic representation and extremely large sizes make buying food at Costco almost untenable. Meat and seafood pricing is insane. Really high double digit pricing.*High price points on basic items. +$40 Toaster??*Small soft drink cups, Pepsi products only and paper straws. This is one of the only items that isn't bigger than it's competition.*Gas Prices should be posted and visible. Currently you have to wait in line and pull up to the pump to see the price. $3.29 as of 10/26/22

Horrible experience today. I will not be renewing my membership. Costco and their training policies for membership verification are out of control strict and rude. I felt like the most unappreciated customer today. First you show your card at the door, then you show your card at self check out. But, my card is old so my back photo is a bit worn. They insisted to see my drivers license. So, I go to grab my drivers license and I can’t find it. I ask to show them my credit card as my name matches but that wasn’t good enough. I had to walk back to my car, grab my drivers license then return to show it. So embarrassing, time consuming, and infuriating. They have the most antiquated weighted scale system for self check out. You scan each time, wait for the scale to register, then proceed. Meanwhile there is a line a mile long for self checkout. Heaven forbid the scale gets messed up by removing the item too early or late….your whole order is messed up. Finally after check out, you go to the door where the person checks all your items with a highlighter. I’m all for cutting down on theft but this was ridiculous. Compare and contrast to Sam’s Club scan and go where you use your phone to scan your items as you shop then just walk out the door. No membership verification, no accusations of identify theft….Costco needs to update this policy and after reading other comments, sounds like I’m far from the only one with this experience.

Hard finding product you're looking for in an aisle. It would really help if they hung end cap signs that indicated what were in those isles such as. Pasta, pasta sauce, Iitalian food ingredients, canned veggies, canned sauce

The woman behind the cash register at the food court completely embarrassed me when I paid for a Pepsi at the self checkout and thought she called my number 8. When I went up and asked if she called my number she didn’t answer so a minute later I asked again and she practically threw the cup at me and said most people just come and get the cups themselves when they only get a Pepsi and rolled her eyes in disgust. If that’s the case then why do they Keep the cups behind the counter and give you a number? I’ve been a stock holder and member for quite some time and think overall this is a great store but if people have these experiences it might not stay great. If you don’t like your job, quit, but don’t make other people suffer.

I love Costco. I shop weekly here and the service and selection are reliable. Every Costco employee I have ever had to interact with has always been very helpful and professional. Their return policy is amazing, so if there is an issue down the road with something you buy from them...they are there to help make it right. This Costco is alway clean and well stocked. The pharmacy is awesome too. The optical department is wonderful and they have great deals. I have bought 3 sets of tires from Costco and the process is seamless. The gas station is amazing because you can used any pump because the hoses extend over your car if your gas cap is on the other side of the pump. The prices for Costco gas are the cheapest in town and my vehicles run great on Costco gas.

We love Costco and have been members for many years BUT I absolutely despise when Mary is working. She is rude, mean, and just plain unhappy. I don’t understand how they put her at the door to greet people or anywhere near dealing with people for that matter. I came here to the reviews just to see if I was the only one and I am not. I have noticed she flips her name tag around now and I assume it’s so people can’t complain about her. Most all of the other employees are super friendly and personable.

I have visited the Costco Springfield location it is one of the best Costco stores in United States of America Costco service is excellent service b the staff is very very good and professional and answer all the questions with patients and answer in a very friendly manner they make sure that meeting the customer expectations they always ensure make the customer happy that is their primary principal Costco is available in many cities in USA you can get very quality grocery items food items furniture dressers and the very tasty foodIf you have a vehicle you can make it make use of fuel service on affordable priceCostco is one of the excellent store I have visited. Nice and clean - not too much crowd. Sells liquor (hard spirit) - hard liquors are at least 20% less than the market.All items in stock and taste check out lanes. Have gas station also. Ample parking and courteous employees. Food court was clean and served food quickly.

I was so happy to know that there was going to finally be a Costco here in town, I have been to the one in Cali and it was awesome. Unfortunately my hopes quickly vanished the minute I entered this establishment. First of all, they don't have any security guards, which is irrelevant to me, bit they compensate not having them by training all their employees to assume one is a thief. As soon as I walked into the store (or attempted to) I was approached by a guy that demanded to see out Costco card, as if anyone would be able to actually buy anything there without it. I asked him to chill and showed him my card. Their stock is vast and they have about the same pricing as Sam's club. What ruined my entire experience was when I approached the cashier to pay, they have an automated system that is "guarded" by like 5 employees, in particularly this gentleman named Vlair or Vlad, he, at all times kept looking at my cart and kept asking me if I had already scanned my items. When it was time to pay, my card kept giving an error, to my surprise, Costco does not accept Discover nor MasterCard (see pic). Tho which the employee made me aware very rudely. Their self check out computers, require you to place every single item on the table, and it will not let you continue nor pay until all the items are on the table, which raises a question as to why this employee kept harassing me to make sure I scanned everything. Even after I had paid, he asked to check my receipt, at that point I just looked at him and told him to stick to his job, which he replied, "this is my job, to make sure no one steals". I got a membership for the year so I will continue to go there periodically, but come next year, I think not.

Would have given 5 stars but they put out two bad pallets of a cherry tomato mix. After we let a supervisor know they had rotting tomatoes, someone went through the containers on top, taking out only the rotting ones they could see. The entire pallet was compromised at that point. I went back a few days later and there was one pallet left... Still moldy and rotten to the point there was a liquid dripping into the other containers below it. Quality control seems to be an issue at this store. Be sure to take extra care when buying fresh ingredients from this store.

My only complaint is the silly rules. Really? Show my card at the door? I have to show it at checkout already. What are you afraid I'm going to sneak in and buy something? And now they check at self-checkout if you're really you. Ensuring that you can NEVER send your teenager, or spouse, or anyone to pick up some milk for you ever again, at least, not at Costco. They also have the least educated pharmacy staff in the business, just as a sidenote. But hey, the pizza's pretty good!

We used primarily for gas, but I stopped in today after work to grab some supplies for a work event I'm hosting.I didn't know there was such thing as not being able to use a Mastercard credit card at checkout. They do take Visa credit cards and Mastercard/Visa debit - this makes no sense. The lady next to me had the same issue too.This will be a card I let expire in a few months - Sam's is much more lax and user friendly.

Several weeks ago my husband had his hearing checked at this location. He was told he needed to see a doctor before ordering. I remembered he had his hearing checked at Mayo our last visit, but he saw his PCP who referred him to an ENT. The cost would be$285 to have his hearing checked to be told he needed a hearing aid. So, we went back in today to purchase a hearing aid. The very not nice girl at the desk informed him he needed a medical release. She said the only way around it was to speak to her manager, whom she never called. I told him to leave and we would go to Sam’s. She replied, “there you go”. We were in the door at Sam’s on Sunshine in 10 minutes and getting a hearing test in 30 minutes. And guess what. They have a waiver you can sign to be able to purchase your hearing aid. Thank you Sam’s Club for being respectful and offering a pleasant experience. I have spent tons of money at Costco and never once been treated how we were today. Membership cancellation in progress. You need to restaff your hearing center with someone that is friendly at the counter.

Heads up! Everyone, over the years shopping with Costco I have only returned one item a tent that flew away off its steaks at the beach and since it was destroyed in its flight, I returned it due to the high price I paid, and I purchased a flat screen I only had for less than two years. It stoped working so I went to Costco and asked for another tv and they asked if I bought the warranty, I said no so they said since it’s been longer than 90 days call this number. I did and they told me there was nothing they could do because they weren’t able to replace it because I had not bought the warranty even though it was on record that I bought it from Costco, the tv should have lasted more than a year and six months. I learned not to purchase technology from Costco. Maybe because it was made during COVID that the tv was made with generic parts, even though Costco should have stood behind their product. They did not, so I’ll stick to Sam’s Club and not renew my Costco membership.

If I could give the Springfield, MO store a 0, I would. My husband and I are new members. The front desk was nice and helpful. BUT immediately when we entered the store, the first worker was rude. We did our shopping. As we left, my husband tried making the oh so cranky door person named Mary smile. She gave him an awful look and proceeded to say it had been a long Saturday and she wasn't in the mood! She jerked our cart. She did not even look at one item. She grabbed the receipt from him, ran the highlighter down it and said you have a great day sir with nothing but hateful disrespect and attitude! We will not be back! Actually, the next time we are in town, we are getting our membership fee back! ]It's Sam's only for this family!
