I have been very impressed with the crew that makes this business run day to day. They are just the nicest of people with some I have almost watched grow up as I have shopped there for decades. It is a one of a kind place to get the quality fresh and local meat in these parts and... the prices are great. I ordered all summer sausage from a deer I brought in and it actually tasted worse than the summer sausage you get from Walmart. I don’t know if it has much flavor at all really. Pretty disappointed for the $180 total for the 38lbs.

I've heard a lot of horror stories over the years about different slaughterhouses, but the folks at Oldfield are clean and don't cut corners. I worked there for a while myself as a teenager and my grandmother worked there before she retired and I've never seen nor heard of a single worrisome practice. It's a little out of the way for most people, but if you want quality meat products or if you want someone you trust to cut up and package your own meat, Oldfield is the place to go. IMPORTANT: Be sure to call sooner than you think to reserve your slaughter date or you might not be able to get in. They stay very busy because they are very good.

Took two deer here suppose to have butterfly steaks but ended up with cubed steaks and then this morning I cooked up some of the sausage and there is no flavor like the meat didn't even get seasoned sorry to say after spending $215 for the deer to be processed I would expect everything to go well and taste great but that's the opposite of how I feel I will not recommend this place to no one and I will not be back

The only reason you get 1 star is because I cannot leave a review without giving a star. I fed my beef for 2 months to get it ready for my appointment. I was called 2 weeks in advance to confirm my appointment & was told someone would be there on Sunday afternoon so I could unload. 3.5 hours of waiting & 10 unanswered phone calls, I leave very unhappy. Over 5 hours wasted on this place plus the feed I put into the steer.
