Best burger around. I've been going here for years (usually after fishing), and they've always had the best cheeseburger and tater tots around. The patties are huge, so the most i get is a double.Everything always tastes so fresh.They have a small bakery section that's amazing as well.The staff is awesome and always so polite/friendly. Definitely has a small town feel.They've added daily specials as well. I recently got this brisket Mac and cheese grilled cheese and it was a hit! They have enormous taco Tuesdays as well as some really unique specials. You'll have to follow their FB page to get all the details.Overall, I can never recommend this place enough. Support a small business that has the best cheeseburger around 👍

All around 5 stars!! We love Katherine and all of the food she thinks up- from traditional American food to new daily specials- it’s all delicious and filling. Our favorites are breakfast and Taco Tuesday!! Family friendly restaurant; wonderful ice cream and treasures across the way too. The entire staff is friendly and welcomes you by name. Will always support this local business!! ❤️

First time getting food here. Ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and fries. Was out quick. Freshly made. Very good. I'd like to try one of those homemade chicken pot pies one day.Returned for a second visit today. Had a tenderloin and the Philly steak. Hit the spot.

What a fun business with great food, staff and a family friendly atmosphere! The ice cream shop across the street (same owners) is decorated like a 50s era soda shop with delicious ice cream and treats. They even have a Barbie themed photo op right now! And there is a gift shop with yummy cheese & snacks. You can rent a kayak and take it out on Smithville Lake. It’s definitely worth your time to make the short drive to Paradise for your next adventure!

We took our family from out of town to Captains Corner to get some burgers. As an individual who needs gluten free due to food allergies, I was so excited that Captains Corner had a Gluten free option for the bun and fries. It may sound simple, but it means a lot when you are able to feel included in a family meal and be able to eat what you want. The burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. Our family enjoyed their lunch as well. It was the best part of our fishing excursion. Thanks Captains Corner for catering to those with food allergies!

Pleasantly surprised! Great food with quasi self- service dining. What appears to be a bait shop/gas station transformed into a diner. Not full service so find someone at the counter. Breakfast burritos are sizable and great! Disposable plates/cups/silverware to toss when you are done. Bakery items available at the counter with huge/regular sized cinnamon rolls. Don't miss it! Take a picture out front!!

Stopped at Captain’s Corner in Paradise, Mo for dinner last night. Family friendly, dine in, carry out, or picnic style area. Ordered a single mushroom and Swiss burger with lettuce, tomato and onions. Husband order a classic double cheeseburger with everything except pickles and side order of fries. Cooked fresh, lettuce was actually green, tomatoes were actually red and red onions. Everything was fresh out of the garden! Buns melted in your mouth. No condiments necessary for this burger. . Order was delivered to our table. We will be back to Captains Corner! And to try other dishes fish, Rueben sandwiches and other daily specials. Ohh. They also serve breakfast!! Atmosphere = fun. Service = excellent. Prices were perfect! Bursting with lots of flavor 😎

Truly fantastic food. Check out some of their daily specials, all very original and cool items to try! It’s a gas station but also has tables and booths on one side. You go to the counter to order, then pick up your drink and seat yourself. Super friendly staff and food came out super fresh/hot. Be spontaneous here or get a regular cheeseburger and fries, either one will have you leaving satisfied!

Great little place to go for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have amazing specials and the burgers are the best around, especially the jalapeno popper burger.Update: 4/11/24- Had their special today, the BBQ pulled pork nachos, and they were amazing. I can honestly say I haven't had a bad meal here.

Cant say enough good things! Quaint little spot in literal "Paradise " it was clean and staff worked well together. The sides are to die for, try the breaded portobello mushrooms for sure. Come to the busiest time expect a short wait, it's not fast food it's good food, reasonably fast . Burgers are great and the Philly was wonderful. Give it a try. And say hi to Katherine, the gal in all their FB photos. She's a doll!

The employees are super friendly. The food is not just gas station food. It is awesome. Their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and burgers with fries are very good. And once you are through eating your meal, you can walk across the street and get ice cream and just hang out. Since this place is very close to Smithville Lake, they have all kinds of things for water activities. I always go there to get a morning cup of coffee when I am camping. All around a good spot.

Quaint fun little stop in the heart of Paradise! Little Cafe set up in the local general store, but food is big on portions and flavor 😋 If you save room for dessert they have that too or you can mosey across the street to Paradise Past and Present to look at all the novelties, then step into the ice cream shoppe for some nostalgia. Well worth the drive if you aren't a local 😎

Bustling family owned C-Mart, restaurant and ice cream shop (across the street) near Smithville Lake. Nothing better than "a cheeseburger in Paradise". Burgers are amazing (single, double, triple) and daily specials. Tots and fries are so good! Baked goods are made fresh daily - cinnamon rolls are my favorite! Always great service!

Back in July of 2022, I went to Captain’s Corner for their Tuesday special, the foot-long taco. The taco was a 12-inch taco shell filled with tater tots, seasoned ground beef, shredded cheese, chopped lettuce, creamy chipotle sauce and house made pico de gallo. I want to give a heads up that the taco might fall apart a little bit because the taco is a really big size.There are other things at the Captain’s Corner such as a statue of the North American mythical creature Bigfoot, a big blonde yellow chair that you can sit or take photographs of people sitting in it. Inside the store, there is a small section of fish bait that you can purchase if you want to catch a certain fish on Smithville Lake and also jams, jellies, a bakery container with baked goods, and an ice cream counter.

It is an amazing little store. Got all kinds of neat little items in it. Lot of eye candy. Hamburger was extremely good but it needed a tiny bit more flavor. I had the triple bacon barbecue cheeseburger and it just needed more bacon and more cheese. I had to eat one Patty by itself to thin down the cheeseburger it was like 4 in tall otherwise. But they used very good high quality meat. I actually considered buying another one to take it home. It's a bit of a trip for me to go back but I am definitely going back. I definitely must for travelers to stop by and check out.

How could any 'sane' person not love Captains Corner!It's a local, family owned and operated restaurant which is located inside an adorable country store / gas station with unique items to purchase along with items you may need for a trip to the lake.The daily specials are intriguing and the menu items are excellent made-to-order, large portion meals at reasonable prices!I like making the trip up there to run trails by Smithville Lake and have had a wonderful experience every time I go to Paradise!Ooooo...Now they opened up an Ice Cream Parlor across the street too !Service = Dine in / Take OutMeal type = Lunch Breakfast / LunchPrice per person = $10-16

Great little place to stop for food, fuel and other needs. They have a small seating area where you can enjoy some yummy food from their kitchen, and they are just a little ways from boat ramps and mountain bike/hiking trails. Check it out in Paradise!
