As a kid growing up in Iowa during the 80’s and 90’s, my favorite vacation with my family was at Fish N Fun resort in Shell Knob, MO.It was the best place to enjoy the beautiful bluffs, smooth water, friendly people and to gather with extended family members.Waterskiing in the early morning and right before evening twilight was absolutely magical.After 30 years, it’s still that magical, peaceful feeling!I haven’t been back in over 30 years, but it was definitely an experience I look forward to repeating.Much has changed (for the better) at this resort. The owners have made sure that it’s definitely a home away from home experience.The rooms and cabins that fit every vacationer, from a single person to 14 persons are inviting and clean.Sitting on your deck or around the campfire is soothing and beautiful.The dock is situated in a hollow that is deep enough for 98% of all boats, even during the lowest of water levels.There are two slots for wave runners, which is what I used. Easy on and off access.The dock may no longer host the terrifying GenX high diving boards,, which was scary but fun, but it still has terrific swimming allowed right off the docks, as well as great fishing.The abundance of amazing birds to watch was very cool, tooThe pool is terrific!. The work to make the pool a place to gather is truly incredible.It’s a great place for families. Children have plenty to play with, too… both in the pool and out.They also allow most dogs. Check ahead to be sure.All cabins and rooms are well lit at night, making it easy to find where you’re staying.The hospitality is beyond compare! I was truly impressed by the 2 bedroom cabin I rented with a full kitchen.Just make sure you don’t forget your food. She’ll Knob is about 3 miles away, and most everything closes at or before 9pm.If you want a truly fantastic vacation, Fish N Fun is the resort. Easy to go from marina to marina, it’s a great place to go in season and off season.I truly can’t express how happy I am with the people who own this resort and the resort itself.I highly recommend Fish N Fun as your vacation getaway, any time of the year.

We had a family gathering at Fish n Fun Resort. The cabins were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Each cabin has a small kitchen with a full size stove and refrigerator. At the pool there is a really nice outdoor kitchen which we used for several group meals. The pool is clean and well-maintained and has a slide and a splash pad. It was easy to get clean towels. Over all, we had a great experience and would do this again. I highly recommend Fish n Fun Resort!

We enjoyed our time at Fish n Fun. We were with a large group from Kansas, Illinois, Colorado, New Mexico, and even California. The ages ranged from under 1-93! The new owners are a sweet family that have worked very hard to update the cabins. They are extremely clean and really cute! The dock is really nice as well as the pool area. It has a slide and splash pad along with a great outdoor kitchen. Which we enjoyed gathering as a group to prepare our meals and eat together. There is an adorable sandbox made inside an old John boat, that the little ones had a blast in. There is also a really nice playground .We sure hope to return again..Rooms: Small but clean and cute

My boys and I stayed here for a week. The place was amazing! The owners are so nice and accommodating. We rented their boat for a couple days as well as fished the dock. It was quiet and peaceful. The perfect getaway that we needed! Can’t thank Tyler and Stephanie enough for being down to earth and great! We will be back for sure! Thank y’all! See you soon!

I have been coming to this resort every summer with my family. My parents started coming before I was even around. Since Stephanie and Tyler purchased fish n fun, they've made the best resort on the lake even better. Their so accommodating and willing to work with families to meet needs and find solutions to snags every family vacation is certain to review encounter. The property is becoming even more updated and family friendly, which we're do excited about. This resort truly feels like a family even when others we don't know are staying at the same time. I just love the close knit feel of the resort and hospitality from the owners. I could go on and on...

Our stay at Fish 'n Fun was fantastic. The rooms we stayed in met our needs. We are a small fishing club with 6 members. We do a Spring and Fall trip. Fishing was good and even the fire pit we used nightly. We will definitely be coming back for our Fall trip. I would definitely recommend this location for any event your family has planned.

We had a family reunion at Fish ‘n Fun over the July 4th holiday. My husband and I stayed in cabin 7, we had a great view of the lake and were in close proximity to the dock. Being able to have our boat docked at the resort all week was so convenient. Tyler & Stephanie are great hosts, the property location is beautiful, and we even got to enjoy a huge fireworks display right at the resort. The pool was perfect for the kids to cool off in after a day on the lake. We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.

The people that own it are amazing it is so beautiful just to walk out and have my coffee and sit on the benches have a cigarette and watch the lake no smoking in the cabins but they just have the resources where you can have it outside we got to sit by the fire pit and the swings which was so awesome and they had cup holders so it's beautiful in the rooms I love the painting and I love how it's just beautiful in the rooms you got a refrigerator a stove and oven you have space they have dishes pots and pans silverware coffee pot toaster the bathrooms are good size especially the shower nice hot water which is appreciated comfy extra chairs if you want to lounge instead of your beds. And in the mornings I put my 30s out there and like magic you get clean towels and paper towels if you need them and it is just an amazing stay we are coming back for sure in October for my son's birthday and running out the house. The beds are comfortable and I'm very picky on beds. The owners are just so easy to talk to and you have laundry on site and they have laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets and it's nice washer and dryer to do your laundry if needed. I would rate this a 10 star place if I could but it's five. So if you want to go and have your kids it was just my husband myself and our son worked out perfect we all enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!!!

This was our 2nd time to stay here and we were very pleased both times. The rooms and grounds are very clean and well maintained. The resort is quiet and laid back with a very relaxing atmosphere. The hospitality is amazing! Stephanie and Tyler go above and beyond to make sure their guests have everything they need. All in all a great place to stay.

What an absolutely Gem of a lake resort. You can tell the new owners truly care about your experience. The dock is large and if you have a boat, bring it! If not there are rentals. This is perfect place for a family gathering or in my case, a boys trip. The rooms had great AC which is important in those hot summers. There are also amazing golf courses about an hour away. I can not wait to bring my family back.

Tyler and Stephanie are wonderful people, very accommodating, and truly dedicated to providing a positive experience for their guests. They have owned the resort for less than a year and are working hard to make improvements in order to make the resort their own. First time visiting Table Rock Lake and this will not be my last. Fish 'n Fun was the most fun our family has had in a long time. The proprietors Stephanie and Tyler were the best. The room we had overlooking the lake was absolutely perfect. We found out that all the cabins had new mattresses and were being newly updated and it showed. The pool, the few times we weren't in the Lake, was amazing. Quiet surroundings with awesome views. We rented the pontoon (very inexpensive compared to the local marina) and went out a few times fishing and going to a few dockside restaurants. You can call Pizza Hut and ride the boat over to pick it up. If you are looking for a crowded sports lake - go somewhere else. This Lake is very quiet with natural beauty and very few homes on it compared to other lakes we have been to. Imagine sitting on your porch and looking out at a lake with only trees and water in front of you. Loved every minute of it and already booked multiple dates for next year.

This was our first visit to Fish n fun resort. We have been to Table Rock Lake many times. The resort is located in a quiet nice cove. Easy to locate. The Cabin (2) was just right for two. Not sure if a larger group would be comfortable. The cabin is well stocked with necessary supplies for cooking, indoor and outdoor. Comfortable beds. Nice AC unit, and a ceiling fan. The refrigerator is large size. They provide a charging plug in box for your phones etc. TV was nice. We did not use it much. Not Roku smart so it was hard to find local channels. But we did not come to watch TV. The WiFi was off/on. The owners were helpful. Check in/check out was easy. We rented the pontoon boat and it was great. We are use to having our own boat for the lake but sold it years ago. So the boat was the highlight. The boat dock is clean, well lit. We did not use the pool or the play ground area. We would easily come back and look forward to returning.

The rooms were clean and nice. The view from our cabin was awesome, right on the water. We Loved that we could bring our dog too. My kids enjoyed movie night and the owners even handed out popcorn to my kids. Highly recommend this resort.

Stayed for a couple days to do some bass fishing and worked out great! Room was clean and comfortable. We were able to launch our 20 foot bass boat from the resorts private ramp and our room was only a couple hundred feet from the dock. Was not planning on it but left the boat in a slip overnight which worked out great. I hope to stay again soon! Stu S.

I just spent three wonderful days at the Fish 'n Fun Resort. Although the season hasn't officially started, they rented us 3 cabins. It was cloudy, cold and rainy most of the time we were there, but the owners were terrific. The resort is very kid friendly, and great for older people. The dock was immaculate, with a section for swimming. All in all, I truly enjoyed myself and will be going back.

We rented Cabin 15. Roomy and clean. Kitchen had all the necessary pans, dishes, and grill on the large back deck. Beds were a bit soft, especially the king size. Love the on-site boat launch and dock. Fire pit area is comfy with a great view of the cove.Stephanie and Tyler are doing a good job and were very responsive. Cove 21 is very busy and rowdy at times, so Cabin 15 was a perfect retreat since its more removed from the lakefront.
