Overall the store is clean, but only open till 8pm in a small town that only has 1 grocery store is ridiculous. The deli closes early, and they stop frying chicken during supper hours, the produce dependent has the same basic produce, never have anything different, and they need to rotate and get rid of rotten produce instead of displaying it!!!

Good place a little high on the prices but with the stupidity of there next door neighbor I can understand to a point but they should lower the price to at least Compete worth walmart they would get ALLOT more Business and then e can get rid of walmart that really is so small fluent belong here to begin with there's a super center 30 minutes in any direction

If no one else has noticed.. it is spring outside and the C and R's five for twentyfive deal is way to good to pass on. If you are trying to throw a gill out, cook out, bbq or que hit up C and R for what you need.

Very nice and cozy for a small country grocery store. Enjoy the grab and go in the deli along with the many bakery items. I wish that there was a better selection of fruit and vegetables as are available in their bigger stores. Meat department does not always carry the freshest sometimes close dated meat items. But overall a nice experience.

Nice people. Store is a bit cluttered but looking better than it has in the past. Update: This location has gotten better. The people are still nice but it's less cluttered and the prices seemed to have gotten better.

Meat counter and prices are great. If you need something special JUST ask and they will fix YOU up! Rick is one of the butcher's and he is AWESOME!

Staff is very friendly & customer service was there when I needed help locating an item . Several employee greetings when I walked in the Shelbina C & R grocery store, made me feel special. Clean, well organized, no problem finding all the items on my list. I was in and out after I purchased my 30 items. Nice small town grocery store.

Great customer service great knowledgeable cashier's. The manager Heather is the greatest. All about business. Great community store. Everyone so friendly and helpful and kind. Summer/cashier is the best one!!

The local name for c&r markets is crooks and robbers because they sell lower quantity portions for the same price Walmart would offer for the family size portions I would not recommend this store

There are pros and cons to small town living. As things go, our local C&R Supermarket is faced with the same challenges as any other business trying to survive in a limited market. Due to low demand, you're simply not going to be able to find unique produce, specialty items, or anything that doesn't fit into an "All-American" diet on the shelves of this little grocery store.With an emphasis on staple foods, C&R will make sure you aren't going to starve. It's not uncommon to go in looking for a specific item and to come out with something else, as stock on hand is typically pretty low and shelves can go bare quickly.That said, staff and management are very receptive to suggestions or requests and will order or prepare whatever you need if you let them know in advance.The store is generally very clean. Pro tip: the deli will give you a sample of whatever they've got to offer if you're not sure you will like it, so go ahead and try that interesting buffalo chicken casserole.In general, it's worth a trip to one of the bigger towns (Quincy, Hannibal, Kirksville, Moberly) for a larger selection of goods at lower prices. For a quick trip to get that item you simply have to have right now, C&R is a safe bet.

This C&R has a relatively friendly and helpful staff. I find the best deals on meat here with their 5 for $25 deals and great take out at their deli up front.

This Supermarket is right off of the highway. Super clean really nice people and there is a hot Deli bar that actually has good food on it
