Used Kempfs with prior owners no issues ever. Just did our first order under the new ownership and won’t be back. Cuts are not even on steaks, hamburger has a ton of fat in it— when we asked what % used we were told “normal.” Well I can tell you this is definitely not how the old ownership did it. Also, every single one of hamburger meat packages has raw meat hanging off of it. Never ever had that prior either. Not impressed. Will go try La Monte’s meats.

Nice and clean place. Speedy return on the deer process also. A good selection of meat from Buffalo to Lamb and they even have fresh milk.

I won a live hog in a raffle contest at a soup charity benefit it was delivered to Kempf's where they butchered cured and packaged the meat and they really did a great job i would recommend them to anyone and i will definitely be back so that they can process my next deer come deer season.

This is where I take my deer, if I ever get any 😂. They have candy and good drinks too. We also get good beef here. It recently changed ownership and as far as I know it’s as good as it always was👍🏻. Highly recommend

I have been using Kempfs meat since the mid 80s Alvin started it. Always have done the best I have seen. And had. Moved to Colorado 6years ago and I still bring my elk and deer Here. The Best...and still do a quilty job... People out in Colorado always ask where I had my summer sausage or hot stick done, That's the best they have had. And I tell them the only place I take my meat to.. Kempfs...

We had a cow processed there. Not only was the cuts superb but the customer service was exceptional! Friendly and humble.Update 7/2023, 3rd round of beef… also great, but unfortunately I bought a couple jars of jam preserves yesterday, opened one today and it has mold on top!

This was our first time using Kempfs and our order was not processed correctly. We were missing several meat items plus all of our lard (3 hogs worth). We let the owner know and all that was said was, that's my fault.. sorry about that. No resolves at all. We are just out and have over paid. There's no list of what came off each animal and nothing was labeled with a weight. We won't be returning or recommending them. It's unfortunate that they can't attempt to make the situation better.

I love this place! Found them many years ago to process our deer, and have been hooked ever since. We stop by to get summer sausage, beef sticks, and many, many other delicious items. The staff is very friendly, and always enjoy visiting with them when we are in the store. We now live in Oregon, but when we are in the area, we always stop by.

When it comes to “custom” orders this place ranks an F. We had a whole steer processed and they fell way short of processing it like we asked. We asked for the following: 2 steaks in a pack, roasts ground into burger, beef parts of heart, brain, kidney, tongue, tail, liver; boneless ribeyes. This is what we got instead: 4 steaks/pack; 12 Chuck, Arm & Pikes Peak roasts; heart, liver, tongue organs; bone-in ribeyes. Whatever happen to the brain and kidneys probably ended up in the trash or given to someone else. Our dogs are on a raw diet so not getting these organs will make us having to buy more. We paid for them but didn’t get them. Our friend in MO raises beef (where we purchased) and he brought it out to us. I’m so disappointed in the butchering. The meat is fantastic but that’s because Kempf’s didn’t raise them. Next time we purchase a steer Kempf’s will NOT be processing our steer even if I have to pay more!

We took 3 calves in this year. They messed up 2 of the peoples orders. One lady had a full calf and an order 25 lbs of summer sausage. They drove in from Indiana to pick up. Found sausage was missing when they unloaded at home. Response was, Oh we missed that sorry. No attempt to resolve it. Another person unloaded at home (4 hr away) and found out their briskets were not with their order. There is no checklist that comes out with your order to show what they say is there./ Both people completed their order sheet and had it available to processor when calves were taken in. Sorry does not cut it. They paid for things they did not get. Response was, it is probably included in your hamburger. If you order brisket or sausage that is what you should get. We have used this facility in the past with no issues, the attitude is not customer service. Will not be using them again.

A nice little butcher shop and Amish shop has all the goodies you would expect from these types of personnel retailers. We use them for our processing our whole beef, they are very nice in the whole process start to picking up beef and loading in your vehicle. With a friendly conversation and laughter along the way. Go just to look around for homemade items to many things to list.Thank You

This place is so clean and well organized. You can see them processing while you're in the store. They did a great job on our hog for a fair price. Very courteous people and a great selection of products in their store. I highly recommend this establishment.

Very helpful, friendly people. Carry raw food for dogs. Couldn't ask for better service. Great meat selection. Raw for dog has 30 percent cornmeal. Cornmeal is a filler. I don't care for that. Kc I get actual 80/10/10 raw . Doesn't have much tripe as the raw I get in kc smells very bad because tripe smells very bad so I know not much tripe in this. Feel as though paying for cornmeal and that was the point of going to raw vs kibble to get away from fillers. Unfortunately, won't be buying raw here again but will Definitely buy my meat there as the quality is excellent.

Sedalia's best kept secret? What a helpful staff, clean store, wide meat selection. A beautiful drive to and fro too! Can't wait to go back. Bought Homemade Brats, bacon and hamburger ( all sold frozen).

Great service. I don't do much shopping here, usually have a side of beef processed, but they have a wide selection (beef, pork, lamb, cheese, eggs, beef sticks and summer sausage, and a few other delicasies) think I saw a turkey breast as well. Of course when it's deer season I'm sure you will find even more. It might be a little out of the way for most people to shop, but the quality of what you get is worth the short travel time, and the price is right in line with the local grocery store. Take a trip out to see them. You won't be disappointed.

I have had my first and LAST experience here. I purchased a side of beef. This is the second package of ribeyes I have grilled that look like meat from a scrap pile. In addition, couldn’t even tell us how much meat was purchased. When I asked, they were very evasive. This place is a rip off!!! I do not feel I got a good buy for the amount of money I paid. Won’t be back & won’t recommend.

I never get what I order they lost my sandwich ham sent it with another order then tell me I'm lucky they found it every time I pick up I have to go back hard to miss a whole ham cut into thirds buy a beef from them no brisket no impressed at all !!

First time customer. I was very pleased. Staff was very friendly, and knowledgeable. There was even staff outside to greet you and help with any questions. Prices are a little bit high but you can actually see it being processed. And I think it gave me an extra peace of mind. I believe it was worth the little extra I paid.

Ended up not giving me porkchops on my whole hog order. Made it home a hour away before I realized the mistake. I called and even though they have a sign at pick up area, they did right and gave me the pork chops that were not included. Very nice shop, friendly folks.

Been using Kemps for few years and they are always good to us. We jumped around all over as far away as Springfield Mo, St Louis Mo, and St Joe Mo and never found any place we liked the flavours and cuts. Kempf's treat you like family and are always concerned you get satisfaction.

I have been buying my beef and pork from them for the past 8 years, great quality meet, they butcher to your specifications. I highly recommend this place for your beef and pork, and when you need your deer butchered this is the place.
