2022 OCT 05The store is closed today.Sign on door says CLOSEDSORRY, due to unforseen circumstances we are closed all day today.Apparently the Scott City Fire Department issued them a directive to clean out cluttered isles, as it's a fire hazard.

Very nice for a Dollar General and open till 11:00 PM!Things were not crammed in there. The store had wider aisles than the average Dollar General.

I became familiar with DG when I lived within walking distance and my car broke down, the next closet store was half a mile away. I visited the store almost daily, sometimes out of just boredom I would go check out what they had in stock. I was amazed at all the things I had been missing for years. Down right had near everything that I needed at this time in my life, the staff were friendly and always helpful. If I had to say something about out neighborhood DG it would be to tell everyone, take a moment to look around you'll be surprised at the great deals you been missing.

Our new dollar store is really nice. It’s going to take a while to figure out where things are at but all the dollar stores are changing their schematics.They stay busy and sometimes they’re out of something. All you have to do is ask one of the employees and they’ll go in the store room to see if they can find what you’re looking for. If not they’ll order it for you.They keep this new store very clean, make sure items are in date.I think this new store is a complement to Scott City. I hope everyone continues to support all of our local businesses so we can keep all of them.

Store is often crowded with merchandise to be stocked in carts in the aisles. Not enough cashiers at times which increases wait time at checkout. Good selection for a quick stop for a few items.

It's a great store, however here lately it seems like they are always out of a LOT of the things I am needing. For the past couple of months now they have not restocked a lot of their merchandise. Hopefully they will get back to normal soon

Went in at night heavyset woman no name tag rude as usual.without fail she is a chore to deal with. The items normally half price are hit and miss. She said people just put stuff there though I pointed out there were several of this same thing there. She said very hatefully some are last chance which I have bought at fifty percent off so what is the policy.She told the attendant checking me out she was doing something when I pointed out to clerk all ringing up full price., as though a customer standing in front of you should not take priority. Store always a jumbled dirty mess ,sale signs hanging days after sale over. This place needs to be reviewed by corporate, as others have talked to me of the disordered , rude service.

Best market in Scott City. The staff is sweet and the stuff is well done. The groceries are way better than the overpriced "Bob's FoodLiner" down the street. All they need is produce! My only complaint is the idiot Scott City drivers who can't park for anything and continue to either double/triple park, or park in handicapped spaces with no tag/placard! Makes it impossible for someone like me (handicapped) to park. This is NOT the fault of the staff but the disrespectful idiots in Scott City...

The only problem I havr with Dollar General is the fact 3 to 5 employees will be working but only one working the checkout. I understand that stock had to be put up but come on it wouldnt hurt if the other 2 registers were open when theres 15 people standing in line. But that's at all the Dollar Stores.

Only place to go in Scott City. Old. Dollar General was a much better story than this one. I don't like this one at all. Nothing is organized and you can't get up and down the aisles especially in a wheelchair!

The manager of this store showed an alarming display of discrimination against a woman shopping with her reborn baby in tow. She told the woman she was not allowed to shop with the doll in HER store... Perhaps she needs to be educated, retrained, or simply learn to mind her own business. Also, I highly doubt the whole store belongs to her entitled, snotty behind. Corporate will be hearing about this.

Dollar General in Scott City Missouri it has got to be one of the best allergy nose I've ever been to the big freezers great plenty of parking he didn't get out I have everything I need right there in the people who are very nice people are always nice and courteous always greet you with a smile

The new store is awesome, much larger with more selections. However the cashiers still painfully slow to check out, with lines of customers waiting to checkout, and only one register open.

Love Scott City mo. Dollar General, its clean you can walk thru the isles unlike Chaffee mo. The workers are helpful and friendly. I drive about10-miles there to shop

This place is convenient and always has something for you never seems to fall to to buy one thing and see many more I had planned on getting right on the shelf, dog your heels in sand good on she may be small but she packs a punch, great plane to shop for their little things you missed someplace else..

Waited for 20 minutes in line to check out, with only 1 checker working. Carts were not brought in, one of them rolling off the sidewalk, scratching my car. Had only 2 of the items i needed, out of my entire list.

Friendly associates very clean store compare to other dollar general stores I've been in " The small town Walmart" store without the high prices Scott City store employees take pride about their store and everyday sometimes daily customers
