Someone told me about Red X cooked food, not knowing that it's a grocery /liquor store. Let me start off by rating the Grocery store. The Grocery Store is clean, neat, & organized, everything is in it's place. Fruit & vegetables look very inviting, fresh. Red X has fresh seafood & meat. The bakery is also fresh different varieties of donuts & cinnamon rolls. Now to the liquor store, the best liquor store I have ever been in, the selection of liquor, mixers, spirits is amazing. I would recommend this store for all your Grocery needs & especially your liquor needs.

Yasssssssss, this place is a small tab of grocery shopping joy! A hidden gem!!Tastings, variety of foods (warm & cold), liquor , and empowered kind & knowledgeable.Bathrooms were clean and so were all the isles.... for a grocery store they take pride in the environment & it shows. Special shout out to bartender George for the recommendations, the drink mix, and the friendly smile & service! Man needs a raise!

I was very pleased with the selection of crackers at Red X. I was a little disappointed when I found out they do not sell individual uncrustables. Regardless, still a 5 star establishment.

You already had the best bratwurst in town. The new pineapple version is something to try. Fry it up & slow roast with serrano & onion for a real experience.

Red X is a great place to go for your needs. Recently moved into a new MUCH BIGGER building! The liquor selection is absolutely AMAZING! I smoke, and it's very decently priced on smokes! It's been around for years and just getting better! Oh! And a very big selection of fireworks for 4th of July!

New store is amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the shelves are stocked often. Prices are a bit higher than my local store, but this store is fabulous, and the floorplan was well planned. EDIT: FIFTH STAR ADDED! I was prompted to go back and raise my star level regardless of the higher prices as on my most recent visit, I heard music!! LIVE MUSIC!! This store now has performers on friday and sat nights from time time! They have a seating area on the patio and the bar features $3 drink specials!! Come check it out!!

Huge new store close for us, fairly good selection. Veterans discount on Monday, Senior Citizens discount on Tuesdays. A little pricier than chain stores. Huge liquor store with many options. Bakery is pretty decent.

I'm so glad they built the new facility and kept the friendly faces and atmosphere we were use to. The prices are always reasonable and items are fresh. The crab legs are our favorite at a GREAT price. Red X is always clean and well stocked. The memorabilia posted through the store was a nice touch.

My favorite place to go! They carry Best Choice brands which I like. Only wish they had the Best Choice Angel Food Cake mix 😍 hint hint.Y’all they carry Fanestil Products!!!Not as many as I would like but they do. I really need them to carry the regular bacon but if you are needing thick sliced Fanestil Bacon it’s in the deli case. If you’ve never had Fanestil Bacon you haven’t had Bacon 🥓 Seriously not an exaggeration. Fanestil is based in my home town and grew up having something from there in our fridge at all times.Their BBQ beans are amazing!Sorry for the raving but Fanestil is the best!Back to Riverside ❌! Always clean and well stocked. They also have an excellent selection of Roma Bakery items. Their fresh food counter at the front is also very good.I think my favorite section in the store though is the Liquor Store Section! I’m not a big alcohol consumer but I swear this half of the store is like turning a kid loose in the candy store 🤣 you will find something! They’ve got an entire huge selection of sample size bottles. Certain nights they also have tastings, AND they have a bar in the store!!Seriously if you’ve got a partner who doesn’t like to shop you can have them at the bar 🤣 it’s a Win Win!There is plenty of parking whichever entrance you decide to go in. There is the main entrance and also an entrance down near the liquor store and cashier cage where you can get your lottery tickets.Also if you don’t feel like going to to shop the have pickup! Red X Express ❌!I’ll post more pictures next time I go 😊

What a great reward for years of service this new store is!! The staff that been with Red X for so long rightfully take much pride in the transformation!! To my knowledge, this is the 1st live music venue in Riverside!! Can't wait for the patio to open again!! Wine and whiskey bar is fun!! (Recommend the Hurricane George 🍹 cocktail!!) Good cigar selection in their humidor. Produce and meat are top notch!! Food from the deli is Soo good. (Recommend the fried catfish on Fridays)

I used to go to the old Red X building but hadn't made it up to the new one. There is always something interesting to see. Amusement park type mirrors, interesting statues. There is an old fire truck just inside the door. Stepped into the humidor and looked at all of the cigars. Walked through the huge wine and spirits section. Started going through the grocery section when I decided it was time to go. Look forward to exploring more of this location.

Don't get me wrong very nice store, and I'll shop there again,but liked the old one just because it's was an icon, shopped there when I moved to KC area and still live at home with mom and dad 😁

I absolutely love this store, it's so unique!!! When you're ever in Kansas City, Mo goto Riverside, Mo's Red X. If you need it, they have it!! The customer service is amazing!! And the food, you would not expect to taste so good inside a grocery store. I would highly recommend you try the Corn, and the Catfish. I'm posting a lot of pictures cuz. I'm trying to entice you to come, and check out Red X!! Such an amazing store.

Wow! They revamped the place. Its a new modern store with some elements from the old store in it. Its nice they still have the huge liquor store and its still big. I might be wrong but I'm assuming one of those rich guys from Briarcliff may have bought this store and wanted to give it their look but I kinda miss that old redneck vibe it once had but I understand things can't stay the same forever. Overall, I like it and I'll stop by every now and then.

This is the most unique store in KC! It is hard to describe this place, so you just have to experience it yourself. It's a grocery store, liquor store, smoke shop, hardware store, dollar store, pharmacy, and museum of oddities all rolled into one. They have great prices, large selection, friendly faces, and strange surprises in every nook and cranny. It is a true landmark in the Northland worthy of a day trip.

The grocery store is clean, well organized, and filled with a large selection of grocery needs. There is not much of an organic, health section, but the overall selection of foods and meat is spot on.

This store is great... After moving from the old building, they have really made this place look awesome..right down to a full size vintage fire truck. Nice job Red X!!!

they should have hired an experiential designer to create a unique environment worthy of replacing what the original Red X was back in the day. or, maybe this is all they could afford to build - and if so, that's fine.selection of products seem limited compared to a price chopper, hy-vee, hen house or walmart. prices on the couple of items i checked were on the high side. BUT, it's refreshing to see somewhere buck the "nanny state" and sell cigarettes. (not that i endorse smoking cigarettes, but i also don't endorse social engineering through sin taxes, carbon credits, etc.)

Love this place it's huge..great selection of alcohol, cigars etc. Man! When I came in they offered me a drink to walk around the store with. Complete score. They have a bar too.

As a former employee I expected more my Kia was stolen I lost my job absolutely no compassion for a local family-owned company you would expect more concern about their employee knowing kias were being stolen all throughout the Country, mine was found in Oklahoma, just a little disappointed.. BUT what would I expect it's Red X. Been around for years but not many people that look like me have worked there for years.

Has most of the stuff a typical grocery store has, but also a lot more! Won $60 on scratcher tickets! I definitely miss the quirkiness and odd selection of products from the old location, but the new one is very clean, organized, and quite nice. It was my wife's first time there and she loved it.

I used to go to the original RedX which was awesome. Came to this new version and now they don't even sell hardware anymore- the whole reason for me coming today...well, it'll be the last time. Ruined a an icon of the community by going corporate. Sad.

Love this new store it's my absolute favorite go to for lunch I work nearby I love the little sushi guy he's always so friendly and willing to make a new bowl because I don't like the Sriracha that's always on the others!Great alcohol selection too!

I love the new Red X it has EVERYTHING! The amount of liquor there is incredible. The choices are wonderful. They have groceries and novelties too. It's also a beautiful store!

Yall HAVE to check out Red X since the new building opened! I went in last night looking for one thing, and came out tipsy lol. They have a "wine/liquor" tasting station. That St James Blackberry is amazing. I'm actually VERY impressed!!!!!

Been coming for years but last night had some issues…Visit was going good until we go to use self checkout, was with someone and we where using the same cart but the employees keep rushing us like they had somewhere to be.Also got some lunch meat that was moldy, just threw it away instead of driving all the way back.Maybe next time will be better.

First time going to the new store. RedX always was the store for everything you could ever imagine for your grocery's and liquor needs at modest prices. My favorite beer and namesake is Michelob not the light's, ultra's or any of the diet verities. I love the full body version of beers. Through out Kansas City and the surrounding areas it's getting hard to find Michelob Lager or Michelob Amber Bock. Red X saved the day for me.
