I appreciate what Animal Control does. They are a needed service. I went to see about a dog adoption and they showed me several. I did not want a Pit Bull or any mix of Pit.Agree or disagree... that's my choice.They showed me a Pit Bull dog and I explained it was not an option. They continued to sell the idea and suggested I foster her to show how I would love her.One of the staff then offered to write the paperwork omitting Pit Bull from the paperwork. While some may appreciate this, I feel that if they are willing to lie or be deceitful at best, to place an animal, what might they lie to me about?So there would be no trust moving forward and I decided then to go elsewhere.

I always like to find my pets to adopt at the animal shelters, because these pets choose you, I don't choose them. I got a dog and cat and they are like brother and sister. They play, chase, scrap sleep and lick each other. Thank you again for the courteous staff for working with me to find new 4legged loves.Timothy

I've only made one visit to this shelter. In the reception area and office I saw cats treated with affection and care. The animals I saw seemed healthy and had a calm, friendly attitude.

We adopted a kitten from here and I was very impressed with the cat rooms, the cleanliness and amount of light. The gal that helped us was very nice and helpful. I used to run a rescue/nonprofit, I can appreciate how much labor goes into keeping the place looking that nice. I highly recommend.

Absolutely love this place is amazing the staff are all so friendly and help in any way they can! Also has to be the cleanest and most well kept animal place I've ever seen! So I recommend if your looking to add another member to your home this is a wonderful place to start!

I volunteer here almost every weekend I can! Donna is super sweet and just cares so much for each and every animal that comes in and out of this shelter. It’s cleaned everyday and they only want the best for every animal! They took in my kitten and are helping me raise him and I couldn’t have asked for more! 10/10 recommended!

I am so happy with the service at the republic animal shelter. I got my daughter a kitten from there and the service was awesome and the process simple...Ronda and Cristina did a great job helping me with my decision and made the whole experience wonderful.. My daughter is very happy with her new kitten that she named Stasha....

I just went by to donate food. No one was around, all the dogs are outside in 90*+ heat and the kennels are filthy. I am really disappointed to see such a place in this community. Instead of trying to fund some overpass walkway we should be funding a better animal control facility.

I think they do okay but seems like it takes a long time to get help when needed. Need more people to volunteer. I offered to be a volunteer and was told they dont need anymore volunteers. And now I need help I cant get it.
