Their milk prices are cheaper than everywhere else except their freezer section is never cold enough the ice cream is melted before you get out of the store.

C'mon Dollar General management...you are filling a much-needed niche in Pleasant Hope; but every time I go in lately there are brand new employees (seems they never last more than a week or two) who are trying to learn how to run the store, or I might get in line and the only employee in the store is in the back stocking shelves...or I get in line with six people in front of me, and the person at the front of the line has a "problem", plus a register is down, and the debit card scanner is having "issues". I have gone to the Dollar General at H and Valley Water Mill, and get in and out with no delays, or the one at Fair Grove, and even if no one is at the register at the moment, they are there in seconds. A couple of days ago, I finally gave up and left my merchandise setting off to the side, went to an ATM, then to Laney's, got what I needed, and was on my way home before the rest of the people in line probably even got to the register. I don't know what the problem is, but the customers around the Pleasant Hope area deserve a Dollar General experience on par with the ones in surrounding communities. We appreciate the low prices, the great selection of day-to-day needs, and how easy it is to find things in the store. But, if we wanted to wait 20 minutes in line, we might as well go to Walmart.

One of the staff was friendly. The lady that checked us out was to focused on other things and just walked away after I completed my purchase and ignored my son who had set items up on the counter to purchased so therefore he had to go stand in line at the other counter to purchased his items.

I stood in line while this guy tried to figure out how to pay his bill. He went outside TWICE to get on his phone. Why don't you clear him out and get the rest of us while he TRIES to get his...stuff...together? The most pathetic thing was watching the manager look on with no effort to check the rest of is out.

Dollar general is the best place to shop it has a little bit of everything and a lot of deals and a lot of special I am so happy that we have Dollar general when family Dollar went out I was devastated Dollar general has cheered us up thank you for for staying on top of things by bringing new fashion and new up-to-date cookware you'll never be discouraged and you'll never want to go anywhere else because they are the best
