My 11 year old Maltese named Daisy had a very large lump on her neck which seemed to suddenly appear early Friday morning. I immediately called Plattsburg Animal Clinic and they got her right in. Daisy saw Dr. Schaeffer who completed a thorough exam and completed a small needle biopsy. Dr. Schaeffer at this point felt it was a problem with Daisy’s salivary gland. Dr. Schaeffer also mentioned Daisy’s teeth being dirty and possibly some teeth would need to be pulled. On Friday Dr. Schaeffer gave her antibiotics and steroids to treat the swollen gland. We also made an appointment for the following Monday (today) to get Daisy’s teeth cleaned and she ultimately had 6 pulled. Over the weekend the size of the lump decreased by about 50%. We just picked Daisy up and the anesthesia and the procedures (also had a large lipoma removed from her back) went very well… we will have to wait and see how to proceed with the salivary gland as Daisy has not finished the steroids and antibiotic medications as of yet… Dr. Schaefer is a very knowledgeable, kind and empathetic veterinarian. I would highly recommend her to any of my family or friends. The support staff and front desk personnel were also amazing. We are home safe & sound…Thank you Dr. Schaefer!!!!!!!!!

The very best vet, hands down! We take our pets to see Dr. Schaeffer. I was so glad I found her after she moved from Holt Animal Clinic. Very caring and very thorough. Figured out how to help our dog when other vets couldn't. I know we got extra time with Buddy because of it, and they were the so wonderful when it came time to let him go. I can't thank them enough! We will continue to take our pets there and recommend them to everyone!

I just love taking my dogs here because they are so loving and caring for each and every one of them. When I had to put my little fur baby down they gave me as much time as I needed which was so comforting because this was the first pet I had lost. Plattsburg Animal Clinic did a phenomenal job with my 14 year old cat’s dental. Extremely affordable and couldn’t have asked for better care! I would highly recommend this veterinary clinic!!

My recent interaction with this veterinary clinic was disappointing due to several concerning incidents. During my attempt to inquire about prescription refills, I encountered a lack of professionalism from the front desk staff. The initial clerk seemed unable to provide basic information and interrupted our conversation by placing me on hold without notice.Subsequently, another staff member joined the call with an unprofessional demeanor, accusing me of using inappropriate language towards the previous clerk. This allegation was false, and instead of addressing the situation maturely, the staff member continued to act disrespectfully and abruptly ended the conversation.The overall conduct displayed by the staff members involved was disappointing and unbecoming of a professional environment. If a respectful and courteous atmosphere is a priority when seeking veterinary care, I would advise considering alternative clinics.

We absolutely love Plattsburg animal clinic. The staff is always super nice and take such good care of our pets. When we had to have our Benji dog put down, they were genuinely supportive and gave us the time we needed. They explained everything they were doing, what would happen and how long each would take. They took his paw print and offered us a nice print too. Both we will cherish forever. We appreciated the fact they put him in a small blue body bag so that we could safely and cleanly transport him to be buried. We did not get this option at another vet clinic when putting down our other dog. They put him in a black trash bag. As if we weren’t already traumatized enough. So this was the sweetest final touch to a very sad experience. Then we received a card with the staffs condolences for our loss.We now take our two newest members of the family there for all their veterinary needs.

Plattsburg Animal Clinic, Dr. Beall and her staff are nothing short of amazing. We, well I am a rather needy, excitable pet parent. Our dogs are our everything. Three of our dogs have been seen in the last couple months. Today we had, (an emergency for me) our new puppy take a fall and develop a limp. I called the clinic very upset and even though they were closing in an hour they said to come right away they would get us in. Dr. Beall, the reception and the RVT put me right at ease (as usual). We also have a 10 year old dog with respiratory issues. Dr. Beall has developed a routine that is giving him a better quality of life and again getting us in asap when needed. Lastly our girl was able to get in for a dental asap when she had a sore mouth (many teeth extractions) and she healed right away. We always receive follow up calls to check on our pets. We are always greeted with a smile and it is obvious they care about our pets. We highly recommend Plattsburg, Dr. Beall and her staff. Thank you so much for everything!

I went in today to have dewclaws removed I was there 6 months ago and they charged 12.50 per puppy. Today was 35 per puppy. Highway robbery. That is triple the last time. Most vets charge 15 per puppy now. I won’t be going back 🤬

We first visited here on a Saturday since they are one of very few vets in the area with Saturday hours. The vet, his assistant and the office staff were all so friendly and punctual!! We brought our cat in the very next week. This will be our new vet!

We love the Veternarians and staff at Plattsburg Animal Hospital. They are fantastic and very caring. They try really hard to get your furry friend in quickly and try keep costs down as much as they can so you don’t have to feel like you need to wait on things to bring in your furry baby to get treated. They are so amazing I drive 45 mins north just to go to them!

I was very pleased with the high quality service I recently received. Dr Schaeffer's exam was very thorough and his communications about his findings were clear. We had a very good experience at Plattsburg Animal Clinic. We've never been there and they got us in the same day to have our big dogs leg looked at. And they did what seemed to be an excellent, full hands on assessment. Very impressed and they were all real nice!
