Stay here!I stayed here for two nights, the people at this hotel are so kind! I also hired them to shuttle me to the trailhead and then pick me up a few days later. Let me start with my room ,it was spotless and clean. A very nice comfortable bed ,everything I needed. I called ahead of time and paid a little extra to have my dog stay with me. This hotel is also close to anywhere you need to go including places like Elephant rock and Johnson Shut Ins. The shuttle service was awesome worth paying for ! Tim who is the hotel owner was ready to shuttle me to the trailhead at the time I requested. Tim also shared some interesting information about Arcadia Valley. I thru hiked the OT from Friday to Tuesday. I let Tim know I would be done at about 10:30am,he knew where to pick me up and was on time with a nice warm ride (I had a cold night on the trail). I planned to stay another night to recover. It was such a welcome surprise that my room was already unlocked for me and warmed up. I had such peaceful rest after my hiking trip. They go above and beyond here.Go eat at The Rustler and Thee Abbey Kitchen both places are excellent! This is an awesome place and I will stay here again 100%. Great people and wonderful place!!

We stayed here due to proximity to the Fort Davidson state historic site - right across the road. Owners were so friendly and gave us tips on local restaurants, as well as the reenactment scheduled for September 2024 at the battlefield. I just wish we had more time to spend here - what a lovely area. The hotel was clean and up-to-date. A great find!

For the price, this place is amazing. Yeah, it's older on the outside, but nothing about the room was dated. The water pressure was great. Room was super clean. Centrally located, great for our getaway to Johnson's Shut Ins nearby. TV channels and WiFi were fantastic. Front desk was courteous and friendly. All around great place! I highly recommend if you're needing a place to stay in the area.

We were welcomed by Melvin at the front desk, he was quite friendly and gave lots of useful information! Our room was clean and well kept, no bugs or dust to be found. AND the shower had AMAZING water pressure; I'd certainly call this a bonus! We utilized their shuttle service to get to our hiking trail; for the distance/time they drove us, I think it was fairly priced. Would recommend and would surely stay here again. It's a small town hotel in the middle of nowhere, so don't expect bells and whistles, but definitely a nice place to stay.

The owners are very nice, professional and accommodating. There are groceries, gas, and restaurants close by. Rooms are nice with a mini fridge and microwave, and updated sink and toilet. Great for single nights or multiple day occupancy. I stayed during the winter, but I bet it’s even nicer in the summer when the outdoor pool is open. Also right across the street is the historical Fort Davidson!

We stayed here for memorial day. We had such a nice experience. The mangers were so sweet! The weather was cold and the managers updated us on the temp of the pool because they knew we wanted to swim. The rooms were nice. The bed was comfortable. Would highly recommend.

We might have only stayed one night, but the place was very well kept, expertly managed, and quite cozy. My grandparents and I traveled to Pilot Knob for a family reunion and didn’t get in until 11pm. The owners came right up and got us into our room within 5 minutes! Super fast and friendly. Definitely would recommend if anyone n the PK/ Ironton area!!!

The service is amazing, both rooms I stayed in were clean, and the view is beautiful. So glad I chose this place over a chain. It was very quaint and peaceful. The only "complaint" (if you can call it that) I had was that the windows don't lock, but there's ways around that and I still felt safe there. And the restaurant owned by the motel was INCREDIBLE!! Hands down the best service I have ever had anywhere, with food to match. The food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious (fish tacos and peach cobbler were to die for.) And it's so clean that the health inspector comes there regularly just to eat. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We always stay here when we visit the area the rooms are reasonable, nice, the beds are very comfortable and the hot water in the shower is fantastic! The staff was very helpful, and friendly. Even though there was a very large group of family members staying there for a local funeral, having a nice place to stay made things much better. My only complaint was the restaurant was not open for breakfast, we always loved breakfast there...the staff did explain why it wasn't open for breakfast and it's understandable, just disappointing. We will be back.

The staff was really nice and friendly. We reserved a room for 2 nights and chose this hotel for the pool. We was coming to town to spend the weekend with our daughter and 2 young grandkids and wanted them to come swim at the pool with us. After we checked in we got the rules for the pool and only the people staying in the hotel are allowed in the pool. They said for liability purposes they couldn't allow others. So we stayed the night and decided we'd go to a pool in Farmington. Well, about 6am we decided to find another hotel. We didn't sleep most of the night because the bed was soooo hard and lumpy. Our backs were screaming by 6am. The room was clean but it's super tiny. I went online and booked another hotel in Farmington with a pool. Of course we didn't get refunded for the next night that we paid for but our backs are worth more than that $100. It was $220 for 2 nights for a one queen bed room. Really expensive for no amenities other than the tiny pool. I tried to help the smaller local establishment out but it's completely not worth the money...or our backs.

No virus precautions here as of 6/25/2020. In fact, this entire area of rural Missouri, Iron County I believe, was like a time warp. The pool was wide open and full. A mask? We were the only ones with them, and we wore them anyway. The restaurants here unlike every other state we went to, had no masks on servers, no distancing, no anything at all. The hotel management is only following the local thought collective (don't care to judge it but won't return either). The hotel itself reminded me of the lovely Route 66 motels I've stayed at recently - well-preserved, charming, intentionally dated with things like pink tile. Loved that touch. My millenial son traveling with me hated the entire thing, but mostly because the air conditioning never got below about 76, if that, after 3 days of running full on. We were uncomfortably warm. The location is perfect for the battlefield - we could see the cannons from our room. Price is superb. Reception staff is friendly and responsive. I simply can't recommend it, nor will I return, because of the cavalier attitude toward the safety of their guests. (I posted a photo where the battlefield/fort is on the left, road in the middle, hotel on the right. It's that close!)

The rooms are nice, simple, and clean! The surroundings are gorgeous. You can see Pilot Knob from many of the rooms. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s convenienly located right next to Fort Davidson Cafe, which also hand great staff and delicious food. This is a GREAT place to stay for anyone who likes the outdoors or history. It’s surrounded by hiking trails of a wide range of difficulty. We also saw people paddling and rock climbing in the area. I would love to come back!

I enjoyed the hotel and restaurant. The hotel is a very well preserved 1950's Americana road trip classic, nestled in the Arcadia Valley surrounded by the green mountains of the Ozarks. The beautiful views are 360° at the hotel and restaurant. The pool was a real delight. It brought back so many memories of childhood family travel, for my spouse and I both. The interpretive center for the fort wasn't open, but we still hiked around the fort and some historical sites associated with the 1864 Battle for Fort Davidson. Lots to do! I strongly recommend!

I was late and the front desk lady wait on me. Excellent service, very servicial owners. Room was very clean. Internet access. Close to many amenities. Beautiful experience in Pilot Knob. Far from the city disturbance. Beautiful for retreat. Because the location, not many phone company have access, mine was Boost and this phone company has no antena in 15 miles. So be sure your phone company is not Boost or try to download the map before be there. I had no signal. But thanks to the good service they helped me printing some maps. Really was an amazing experience!

I always stay here when I’m in the area. A nice and quiet place to stay. Noise has never been an issue at this hotel. The staff is very hospitable. The town also has a lot of history behind it. I rate it a five for location, management, and cleanliness.

This place was a true "throw back", but I found that to be charming. It was comfortable and very clean. The room had a microwave and refrigerator. I was happy with the stay overall. The price was a little steep for this type of throw-back motel, but I am sure this is because there are not a lot of options in the area so demand drives prices.

We stayed here for one evening. We weren't sure what to expect. Very positive stay. Front desk was very helpful and polite. Gave suggestions for the area and restaurants. Room cleanliness was outstanding and decor was pleasant. Cafe off the hotel is a gem. Food quality is outstanding...fried mushrooms and french fries seem to be from scratch. Cafe staff agreeable to talk with out of towners and share some areas which might be interesting.

Incredibly friendly and accommodating owners. Very comfortable rooms with modern amenities. This was the perfect place to sleep before going for a backpacking trip in Mark Twain National Forest. Will definitely be staying here again when we got more of the Ozarks trail!
