Been to this shop a few times, including at their previous location in St. Charles (sorry they left there). Bought a knife from them at a good price then and more recently a shotgun here in Pevely. Both times everything went smoothly. Lots of people go here, not just country folks (see some of those 1 star reviews). Urban types like me are treated just as well as everyone else. This place is well stocked with just about anything you might need for your shooting needs. I suggest you ignore them folks that complain about this or that and see for yourself how well they treat their customers. (Disclaimer- I obviously didn't need to deal with them for online purchases but I can't imagine their customer service would be any different on-line than in person).

I have been a customer of dunns for over twenty years. I brought in one of my in Is to trade for a more compact model. I was Offered two hundred dollars for is a gun that sells for over $600 all day. I understand you have to make money but that was a complete insult And has cost you a customer who spends a lot of money with you. I will take my business somewhere else.

I came in there two weeks ago. To get a youth rifle for my grandson. I make the mistake of telling the young snot nose person thar was helping me. That I was getting the rifle for my grandson. And he!!!! The snot nose kid that was helping me. Blew a head gasket. With Me!nwuth customer standings all around me!He told me I should not have told him. That I was buying it for my grandson. I didn't know, but he made such a big deal out of it. I'll never shop at your place of business again! I did buy the rifle from your establishment. I came back the next day!!!! Because you were the only one that had a 243 youth rifle in stock.

Went in to get a gift for my nephew who I infact have custody of and am the legal guardian of which was a simple AR12. I got told to that I could not buy him the gun because of his age (14) as there was a father with his son( definitely younger than my nephew) who had no problem purchasing a rifle for his son. I do not recommend it the employees are rude and it is so hard to get someone to help you just for them to be rude. Bucheit’s you will always have a true loyal customer as long as I’m here

This is my favorite store. It’s local. The help at the counter is always great and that guy bob that is in the fishing department with his knowledge he helped me out so much he is genuine . I will always spend my money at a store like this before I go anywhere else 5 stars every time .

Dunns is absolutely amazing... I have bought from them for years and always felt comfortable with the products and the pricing is more than fair..Recently I purchased a high end crossbow and over the last 8 months or so have had multiple issues with i... the manufacturer was no help and wanted to make repairs yet again which I refused to accept... I expected that Dunns would step up and argue for me but they went above and beyond by giving me a complete credit for my original purchase and putting me into a completely new bow of equal or better quality... I can't say enough about the expertise and integrity of everyone who works there... I highly recommend that you give them a chance to earn your business and if you do you will likely start with them for all of your needs in the future...

Best sporting goods store around, bar none. The staff are plentiful, easy to find, and always ready to help- a far cry from other places.Their ammunition prices are competitive with internet prices, they can’t be making much money on it.Their gun counter has an interesting mix of tactical and sporting guns, new and used. So many gun shops seem to only have one or the other, and that’s boring to me. Variety is nice.

Sam, in the archery department, has been very helpful and patient. I have been having problems with a bow that was gifted to me and Sam has helped me set it up a third, fourth, and fifth time... After making an adjustment to draw weight and replacing the rear peep-sight; helping me pick a new release; he helped me pick out a stabilizer; and made a slight adjustment to my rest, now I am driving nails at 20 yards... Everyone at this store has been super helpful, knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful. I would recommend this small local business for all of your outdoor needs.

I went here to buy a cheap Heritage Rough Rider Revolver. The salesman showed me the one in the display and it had a Cocobolo grip which I didn't like. I told the salesman that I wanted to use it for a western display with a U.S. Marshall badge on a shelf. The salesman was super nice and said "let me take a look in the back and see if I can get you a better looking one". He came out with one that I really liked. He didn't have to do this but he did and I was really grateful. Great salesman and pleasant staff.

Best in class service. I placed an order for ammunition. The website was easy to navigate. After my purchase, I had a question. Sent an email and received a response the next day. Order was sent via UPS as promised, and it was received in a timely manner. I will be doing business with Dunn's again. Great experience.

Had an issue with my crossbow and they got it work out. Gave me some advice on how to keep it from happening again. The Staff are always helpful. I got my first shotgun in 1970 from Mr. Dunn at the original Dunn's store. My Dad matched my savings to get it. Never forgot that and how Mr Dunn took care me with the sale. Great place

I bought a few guns here and the one needed sent back twice in 3 months. They did it without a problem however they did give the recommendations for the gun. Staff are nice. Prices are competitive on some things to slightly higher on some things. The closing early and being afraid of covid 19 stops from being 5 star review for me.

I had a minor issue that was fixed rather quickly (computer glitch). Staff was really nice! While waiting for what I had ordered on line, I looked at their fishing gear. Way better than bigger box store selections. I will be back!!!!!

Better prices on most everything in stock. I've never found better prices on guns anywhere else, fair trade in pricing as well; great variety of fishing gear too. Excellent staff as far as knowledge and personability. Definitely my go to sporting goods store.

Went in looking for a quality handgun. We were immediately greeted and asked what they could help us find. They took ys back yo the guns, pulked out whatever we asked to see and ecplained the differences in the guns. It was a great experience and highly recommend shopping there.

I can't say enough about the staff. They are highly experienced and have always helped me with all of my questions. I have shopped other stores for my bow equipment and seem to end up buying from them every time. And I feel the biggest reason for that is the staff.
