Wow. Almost didn't come because of some of the negative reviews on this place. Those people must have gone to a different restaurant.Food, drinks, service: Amazing! Lexie was wonderful. Food perfect. I'm a biscuits and gravy connoisseur, including all throughout the south, this may be the best. We haven't left yet, and I'm ready to come back. ❤️❤️❤️ Make sure you try anything-benedict too. Didn't snap a pic before we inhaled it.

Overall very good. Our waitress was a 5+. Too bad the manager isn't as niceI'm gluten-free. They don't have gluten-free on their menu. I asked if I could substitute a piece of my own gf bread.Manager nixed that. Tried to ask for a fruit substitute and was informed I had to pay.Not the best customer satisfaction move.

Went with my sis here for an early breakfast. The place was cozy. The food was good. The service was great, the staffs were very friendly and welcoming. The Ghirardelli Mocha was a lil bit sweet for my taste. I ordered L’Oscar and it was good especially the potatoes as my choice of side dish.

I have only posted 1 other review ever. But, wanted to warn everyone. I am being honest too. This was posted on March 31, 2021.We thought we would try again to see if maybe because of Easter (last year) was why it was so slow & awful food. This year our reservation was at noon. They were not busy for Easter. We got seated at noon. Got finally served our food at 1:15.I had to flag down our waitress every time for refill of water or tea. She never came on her own. I ordered the BLT. They must be hurting for money because, I had a tiny half slice of turkey and 2 very very small pieces of back. Not kidding, was laughable but also frustrated for a $15 Chicbata bread, lettuce, tomato sandwich with a piece of turkey (like half the size of a slice of bologna) and2 itty bitty pieces of bacon. Not even a half a slice size. The chips were stale too. The other three guest were not happy either. We drove 40 minutes to get there. $100 thrown out the window. Please save your money and time, go elsewhere.

We went for breakfast, there was a wait time of 10 minutes. The restaurant has beautiful decor. They sell various bakery products like varieties of croissants , cakes etc. All looked delicious. They are crockery are few kitchen related items for sale too. After we were seated we ordered an unlimited coffee from the coffee bar & a house latte which is made of cinnamon & honey. Elizabeth was our server who was friendly & attentive. The latte was tasty. I ordered the 3 cheese omelette with cinnamon streusel & potatoes. The omelette was well made, it had Italian herbs, the potatoes were exceptional with onions. The other item we went for was french toast which was mouthwatering to look at. It was indeed very tasty. We had a side of scrambled eggs. The crowd consisted of youngsters as well as middle aged people. There were few small dogs who were served in beautiful dog bowls. I am thrilled to have gotten an opportunity to dine at this wonderful place. The menu is not very conventional & took a few minutes to understand. The menu & taste of food was differently good than the usual franchisee breakfast restaurants. The patio is beautiful. Bacon is good.

This is one of my favorites and has been for decades!!!! Everything about is amazing! The food, the service, the atmosphere. Best place for breakfast/brunch at the lake. Upscale, old school, class!

I have always wanted to try the French toast at this restaurant, but every time I go by it is super busy. Well today, my husband and I decided to give it a try on our way to Jefferson City. Well, Letts’s just say it was an incredible disappointment. I have always said breakfast is the hardest meals to mess up, but somehow they messed it up. I ordered French toast, which was one slice and zero flavor at all. Actually, it did have some kind of taste, but it was not a sweet yummy taste. I even asked for brown sugar to hopefully add something so I could eat it. I felt bad spending so much money to not have any desire to eat the food on my plate. My husband ordered pancakes and just like my French toast, very little flavor. Not even the syrup tasted normal, usually the syrup would add enough flavor to eat, but not in this case. The restaurant itself is very charming, but it does not do any good to look good if the food does not taste good. We spent 40.00 and left disappointed, dissatisfied and hungry. My suggestion is to find another place and don’t waste your time here.

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had! Long story short, took 2+ hours, had a HAIR in my food, food was cold, had to ask for our check literally 5 times and ended up missing our boating reservation because no one would bring it. We told the manager and she was rude and said it was "normal" to have to wait that long and basically said she thought we were lying about the hair. So expensive for terrible food and service. Avoid at all costs! Also convenient that after several negative reviews there were suddenly several positive ones all at once... from people who had never left a review before 👀 just saying!

Vegan Review: There was nothing vegan on the menu but I still managed to modify something delicious. I got a veggie Benedict with no egg or hollandaise sauce. I topped it with maple syrup and a side of breakfast potatoes and I was very happy. My husband liked his French toast. He said he didn’t like the coffee, but oh well. The place was cute for brunch and our waitress was really wonderful. My biggest concern was none of the staff wore masks during Covid, but it was still my choice to go out anyhow.

It's a popular place...1st come, 1st served. It's worth the wait. Prices are a bit higher than most but, you get what you pay for, which is delicious...eggs bene, Scottish platter with salmon is really good or the lobster omelet. And ther drinks are phenominal...try a BLT bloody Mary, the caramelized bacon is one of a kindParking: 15 parking spots

We were very disappointed in our meal at On The Rise. The food was nothing special and the prices were VERY high. I got a traditional breakfast and the scrambled eggs were not prepared properly and had no seasoning. The potatoes, which had a wonderful description, were deep fried potatoes and not very good. My guest couldn't even finish her meal. I gave it 2 stars because the service was exceptional. I would be surprised it this place makes it much longer.

Be prepared to wait! Especially on a peak day/time. But oh my gosh. The food is delicious. We were supposed to have about an hour wait which turned into an hour and 45 but theres coffee to go while you wait. So glad we were able to get a seat while we were in town.

Extremely disappointed in our experience here. We sat down, put in our drink order and waited 45 minutes. It was obvious they had been sitting there a while - The hot coffee was cold & the iced coffee was warm and watery. We waited so long for water refills and straws that we ended up going up to get both ourselves. We ordered right when the drinks arrived and 50 min later still had not been brought out, so we checked on it and they said “well, we kinda got some started” - so we left hungry. The server was very nice, but it’s painfully obvious there are major staffing or organizational/efficiency issues in this restaurant. Don’t recommend…

Very tasty Benedicts. You can tell the kitchen really cares and the meals are unique and well done. There is a premium price for this quality of food.

One of the worst experiences. If I could give this place negative stars I would. They were out of everything! First they were out of ice, asked for coffee it was burnt. Asked for Root beer they were out. Got very flat warm sprit. The waitress admitted that she did not know how to make the coffee and the girl that makes it was not there. Took over an hour for 2 biscuits and gravey, omelet, and French toast. We get the food and the French toast on the inside was RAW. We told our waitress it was not her fault but we were not having a great experience. We asked for her to take the French toast off. A different waitress brought us our ticket and told us that the manager would not be taking anything off the ticket. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager came full force attack mode. We paid our bill and will never be back.

This place is amazing! The sevice and food is always fantastic. They have super delicious breakfast foods and an all day menu. There is a coffee bar with various coffees and you can also order speciality drinks from the menu.If the weather is nice you can set outside at the patio area. Not too crowded on early weekday mornings but busy mid mornings especially on the weekend.

It took 15 min to even get our server to our table to take our order then another 40-45 min to get the food that was mediocre at best. Little to no flavor and sausage that looked and tasted like a rubber hotdog. The service was even worse than that. Never again will we go here. Best part about it was the coffee and even at that the condiments for that were empty and I had to tell them to refill it. Keep in mind this is all being left by people that have never left a review for a restaurant.

There are many different reasons why I want to go back to this restaurant and would recommend it to others. The service was outstanding. They have a self serve coffee bar, I had the butterscotch coffee. It was very good. The mug we got from the waiter was pre heated. They have very neat ceramic syrup containers that are warmed by a little tea light. It’s a small touch that adds to the overall ambiance of this place. The food was amazing. I had the biscuits and gravy, it cost $9. I think the price was a little high. I tasted the lobster and chive omelet which was absolutely delicious. I’m not sure the price but it would probably be worth it. They don’t have hash browns, I’m simple. The onion fried potatoes were a side that was the most comparable. It was very good, better than hash browns for sure. Overall, I think you’d only enjoy this place if you were okay with higher prices. You do get what you pay for. The environment, staff, food, and drinks were all worth the price. Thank you for this memorable brunch that concluded our trip.

Scones were fantastic! Monte cristo was atrocious. Very little filling and... I dont think there's supposed to be an entire loaf of bread on one side of the sandwich, and a thin sliver on the other. They also mixed at least three different types of bread when making the sandwich. What were they thinking?

Walking in, the atmosphere was very pleasant, very clean, tasteful decorations and definitely had a welcoming feel, the atmosphere was definitely 5 stars. The wait was very long, over 50 min, they have limited seating, and I appreciate them not crowding people in.The food looked good, I had the chicken schnitzel breakfast, pretty on the plate but underseasoned and underwhelming in flavor. My wife had the Monte Cristo (her favorite) but it let her down, very bland, lack texture, and the raspberry sauce tasted like cheap perfume. She only ate a quarter of the sandwich. We had a few simple issues that could of made the server shine. Instead, she made excuses and did little to remedy the issues. The Bakery is a nice addition but very overpriced as was the breakfast. 4 mini (and I mean mini) croissants and two cups of coffee $25 plus tip. This held us over until we were finally seated 54 minutes later. The croissants were very tasty, but gone in two bites. So, food and service both received 3 starsOverall, I spent over $80 for breakfast and bakery.

We were seated promptly but waited 15 mins for our waitress, she took our order and poured our water, a young lady brought our food order after 25 mins and we saw our waitress again after 35 mins with more water when we were done, she never checked on us during our meal, all around us other waitresses were checking their tables, we left our waitress a 10% tip and that was because she showed up for work... also we heard someone from.the kitchen argue with our waitress to pick up her food and our waitress said well no one told me it was ready ...this was loud, not something customers want to hear. Food was good but our service was very poor. Other waitresses seemed to be doing their jobs fine though.
