Pricing is high. Great Dane put down and disposal $200. Other vets we're cheaper I found out after.Paid the service fee to come to my house . After dog was deceased , I was required to load him into the truck

If you care about your animals and/or your pocketbook. Go somewhere else. I have gone here for about three years now. I had a couple of weird experiences that raised some red flags but I don’t know much so I continued to go there. I had a horrible situation with one of my animals that was very drawn out over about three months. It ended up costing my cat his leg and thousands of dollars. A year later, my other cat got into the same exact situation. So here I am back-and-forth to the Odessa Animal clinic. Something wasn’t right, so I reached out I reached out and got a second opinion and long story short I couldn’t believe what I have been putting my animals through with this whole time. Every time I would take my pets there, there was never any real solution. The service I got from the other vet was Night and day. They pretty much told me they don’t know what kind of medicine they have been giving my animals. Because there was never any cure. This other vet cared about my animals, and has passion for their job. The anabiotic that I received from them healed my cat and he is able to keep his legs. When I went back to the Odessa Animal Clinic, for the very last time I told them I was not coming back and I needed my records and one of the girls working there said a very unprofessional and if you ask me inappropriate comment. They don’t care about your animals there, they only care about your money. They will have you going there in loops. So just be careful. Get a second opinion.

The customer service, care and understanding was pricless for us. Dr. Shockley is excellent, and I will never Go anywhere else. She was our baby, and after 14 years of an extraordinary life, the staff was so kind during such a hard time for our family. The care and compassion will forever be with me.

I am so very pleased with the care I have received at your clinic recently. I had moved out of the area from my previous vet. I hopped around just a little bit before deciding to permanently begin making this our home vet office. All of the gals at the front and the gals assisting in the rooms were smiling, welcoming, helpful, not rude nor impatient. All of my questions were answered without eye rolls or whispers amongst one another. The doctor/owner himself, Dr. Croucher, was very thorough even though his day is back to back and then some with patients. I didn't feel like a burden or just another cut of money. It truly felt like he had the best interest in mind with my pet. I had an emergency over the weekend with my Standard Poodle. It was thought by emergency personnel that we may face amputation. Dr Croucher really examined the wound. He fully explained what would or could happen and why. At this time, we are trying to save the limb and he did an amazing job patching my girl up. The healing part is up to my girl now! Either way, I know she is in great care with this vet office! A+++ Thank you all!

Morbid. My friend took her dog here recently with symptoms of parvo & even called beforehand and wasn't only treated poorly on the phone but went she came in with her dog who was bleeding from it's orifices in time wasn't seen soon enough and she was left with enormous medical bills, 0 compassion and dismissed. She's in a very traumatized state right now and just had to bury her puppy.

My sweet dog, Angel, received a diagnosis of an enlarged heart at another veterinary clinic. After a couple of months, Angel's health began to decline, and my prior vet stated she could not help him further. I took Angel to Odessa Animal Clinic. Dr. Sean Croucher examined him and increased the dosage of Angel's current medication and prescribed an additional medication to help with his cough. We saw a significant improvement and a decrease in the amount of his coughing. Dr. Croucher gave us hope and gave Angel a better quality of life and made his last weeks more comfortable. I am so grateful for all he did for my sweet boy. Thank you!!! The Crowl Family

My yorkie had surgery by another clinic on Thursday, by Saturday she had not eaten or drank. The vet that did the surgery gave me a can of dogfood that she would supposedly eat. Didn’t happen. It’s Monday morning and she still hadn’t eaten anything. I called Odessa animal clinic to see if they could see her. Even though they were booked for the rest of the week they saw my little fur baby. She was kept at their clinic and she is receiving IV fluids. Bloodwork was also done, the vet called and she is in kidney failure. If the fluids don’t work they have suggested that she be put to sleep. My heart is heavy right now. I hope and pray this will not be the case.I wanted to update this post. My fur baby didn’t survive this horrible kidney disease. I lost her June 21st, 2023.I promised her before I had to put her to sleep that I would get another Yorkie and give her the love and affection I had given her for 6 years. Her death taught me something that I didn’t know, If you have a purebred Yorkie they are prone to getting an infection in the uterus and kidney problems if you don’t spay them. If you get one please spay them if it’s not your intention to have them bred.

In may, I had to make a last minute call since my vet in grain valley closed. My 17 yr old girl was rapidly declining and they got her in pretty quickly that day to euthanize her. I was extremely nervous about bringing her in because I didn't know them and she was my baby since I was a little girl. The receptionist was very sympathetic on the phone, everyone was very nice and quick about it while also respecting our time as well after her passing.. I would deffinatley bring my other animals in when needed and im grateful for our first experience during a very hard time! Thank you guys so much!

This office does an assumed sale so beware. They treated for fleas without consent on a kitten that had the possibility of be euthanized due to a broken leg. Also charged for euthanizing it when it was unclear if someone was able to adopt the kitten that could afford the $1500.00 they wanted to amputate it. Then to top it off assumed cremation instead letting it be picked up for burial and when the subject was brought up they said it is their policy to assume that people want it treated for fleas and cremated when euthenized. They are dishonest and over priced. Had a goats leg amputated once at another vets office and it was only 300.00. Absolutely disgusted at the level of greed and dishonesty this vet has.

I had my first experience with Odessa Animal Clinic today and my experience with top notch despite the circumstances. My Mother-in-law contacted them to see if they would euthanize my sick pet turkey. Even though they don't normally treat poultry they gracefully assisted helping her humanely across the rainbow bridge.I'm certain that they don't get this request very often and I realize it may seem odd to most that I even requested this procedure on a turkey but I loved and felt she deserved to pass in a respectable way. And I was fortunate enough to have a lovely vet tech (I wish I had gotten her name) assist me through the entire process. She was kind, understanding of my pain, and also shared the love for our feathered friends. She truly made this situation easier for me. She also went above and beyond by giving me a footprint of my beloved turkey friend Jenny.Because of this lovely lady and everyone else I encountered during my visit today I will be returning to this clinic for my other pets future needs.

They are SO great. Not only did they take amazing care of my baby, but I only paid $227 for a Spay, overnight stay, ear cleaning, toenail trimming, meds, and vaccinations for rabies, distemper and cough guard. 10/10 recommend them!!!

Took my old cat in today, she had to be euthanized but she had cancer for 1 1/2 years. The staff there are great, very caring and gentle, treated her wonderfully. Thanks to all the staff involved for the kindness and compassion shown to my furry friend and to me, you were great.

Had my dog there for a week after a dog fight. He died after a week in there care. Obviously they missed something. Then charged me over a $1000 dollars. No reason for a dog to die after a week. He didn't have any major wounds that would kill him. Obviously they overlooked something. Very unhappy with there care. If they couldn't give him the care he needed they should have said so.

This vet is knowledgeable, however, it is very difficult to get prescriptions or medications for your animal, unless you purchase it from them. As a consumer, you have a right to get medications from anywhere. This facility practice places limits on your rights.

I am always comfortable bringing my pets here. Both Dr. Croucher and Dr. Shockley are extremely knowledgeable and treat them as if they were their own pets. The whole crew is compassionate and professional. Knowing they are in very capable hands when they are there is very comforting.

Dr. Croucher is amazing. Takes such good care of our pets and has such a love for them. Out of all the vets I've been to, this is by far the best. I also love the staff too. Such kind hearted people. I've lived here 6+ years and have really grown to love them all.

absolutely some of the best care I have recieved, if not ever received for my dog (Klee)was greatly appreciative of the staff, very professional, fielded questions..(I'm naturally inquisitive) prices were on par for similar treatments in LA..that's a good thing..trust me.Dr. Croucher was straight forward, calm, highly descriptive of the situation, (he noted surgery required a few more steps than initially planned, but he executed it with flawless technique..very little aftercare..Highly highly recommend this facility..Worth the drive from wherever..

My parents brought in their lab for neutering and he ended up passing away. My mom was then required to pay for his cremation after he passed away unexplainably in their care.

Beware, took my 4 year old shepherd here for minor ACL surgery. She passed after surgery. Croucher excuse was she had underlying issues or had a heart attack. He never took blood, urin sample or listened for a irregular heart rate prior to surgery. Mind you I've been going here for few years. He said if he did it again he would of taken blood. Second time I talked to him he said he wrestled with her to put the muzzle on for x-rays. She's had x rays before and they had to sedate her for her safety. She wasn't trained for a WWE match so of course she passed of a heart attack.

After the purchase of our new puppy, an Italian Greyhound, he jumped off the couch an had broken both front legs? Dr Croucher and his staff quickly went to work resetting the legs and splinting them and he is doing great walking around on his splints. Wonderful and caring staff and we will go no other place for our pets health needs? A very special thanks to Dr Croucher

I will not return to Odessa Animal Clinic again. I have 2 cats, one with special needs. We used the same vet for 13 years. My cats were well cared for, and while they didn't LIKE going to the vet, I have never had an experience like my last with OAC.2 years ago our family moved. OAC was recommended by my mother, who has had all of her animals seen by Dr. Petticord before he left the practice. (They've apparently sold the practice and he's not an in office vet anymore.) We had our initial visit, shots were given, all was well.Yesterday, I took my cat in for a suspected UTI. This has happened before, and not something new to us. I dropped him off in the AM so that he could have a UA done through the day. There were no records for us. Not even the ones that I had brought with us from our previous vet, even though I remember watching the woman enter us into the computer. Apparently, they had a new computer system and hadn't gotten around to my account yet. Not a big deal, but the woman became rude when she realized that meant we hadn't brought our indoor cats in for between 1-2 years. Since it had been that long, I also authorized 2 immunizations. I dropped my cat off.Around 2, I received a call from the doctor. A UTI was confirmed, and I was told I have a "very mean cat." I became concerned, my cat is a cranky SOB but he's never had any trouble at vet visits before. I asked if he bit anyone. The doctor said no. I asked if he scratched anyone. He said no. He told me that he has "cage aggression." I have no idea what this is supposed to mean. Of course he's not going to be a ball of sunshine being poked and put in a cage. No animal would. At this point, I told him that I'd be in to get him and that if he was being a problem that I was more than willing to put him in his carrier when I got there. When I picked him up, I heard him howling from his carrier, he was growling so much that when I picked him up, the whole carrier was vibrating. I was told that he was "uncooperative and because of that he was covered in feces because they didn't want to aggravate him more by cleaning him. I agreed that it was probably better that way and figured I'd give him a bath when we got home. When I got him home, he was not "right." I don't mean he had a reaction to his shots, I mean he acts like someone has mistreated him. It's the next morning, he's STILL limping. He can't go up/down the stairs unless he takes them one at a time and he pauses after a couple stairs. He cowers if we try to go near him, and growls if I raise my hand too quickly near him. My cat has NEVER growled at us, not even during playtimes. This morning, he hasn't MOVED from the corner, usually he's right under my feet as soon as I open the door for his breakfast. Oh, and he REAKS. Not just a little "poop got in my fur" he smells like he took a roll in a full litter box.He has never behaved this way after a vet visit. He's been neutered, immunized, declawed, been left for a full day for UTI diagnosis, and kept 48 hours for observation at previous vets. This was NOT his first visit for this vet. This is not normal. There is no way I'll be sending my animals back and after speaking with my mother she has made the same decision, this was the nail in the coffin for her after Dr. Petticord left the practice.

I have taken Poncho, a dog and DJ, a cat to this clinic for shots and health care for over 4 years and everybody is friendly and great with them. I've received great advice on what to feed them and it's easy to get an appointment usually the same day.

Baa they do good work. It's nice to see people who have empathy and truly care for animals. There are some unusual "farms" in this area with very cruel owners who have no empathy at all. Some pigs have frozen to death because of incompetence.
