Beautifully wide collection of items that are difficult to come by but that's what you see when you drive out to the country! The people working there were very sweet and helpful. I highly suggest poking around if you decide to get lost in these rodes!

Bates City Antiques is moving to the Odessa Outlet Mall, and what remains will be called the Bates City Emporium. Lots of changes going on...excited to see what they will both offer after the change.

Great finds from every decade and prices in every range! The ladies managing today were wonderful and I'll most definitely be back!

This place is bigger than it appears from the outside. It has a lot to look at. Very nice place for such a small town.

Large selection. Not what you see in every other antique store. Very friendly, down to earth, down home feel. Definitely recommend a 'stop in' if you're coming from or going to Kansas City

Besides being a great vintage shopping experience they were open on a Sunday.

Positively ridiculous prices. If you look at the reviews, many mentioned the overpriced items and owners response is always "thanks, have a nice day and thanks for supporting a small American owned business." Sure, respond well to the positive reviews but ignore the negative and see how long you stay in business. You need to do something about your pricing, you have items all over the place that are grossly overpriced, a normally $1 item anywhere else is at least 20 in your store. At least check and compare for what they sell for online. I certainly won't be back and I'll tell everyone I know not to bother. What the hell!

This store tends to be a mixed bag of an experience. Interesting finds but they tend to be over priced beyond a reasonable amount. There are staff that are good but some arnt attentive as well as ignoring the mask ordinance. The owners were also in store they were a sort of aggressive and didn't give much personal space . Neither the owner and some staff were not wearing in masks and made me feel unsafe. Also if you have asthma maybe only stay in the front part of the store it was very dusty and dirty towards the back.

My mom and I were traveling across the country and needed a break so when we saw the sign off of the highway we decided to stop in. The employees were so awesome, just sweet. And I bought a really great old pocket knife that I now carry everyday. My mom bought stuff too. Great antiques and people!

Lots of fun! A true treasure trove of common goods and unique finds at reasonable prices. Well organized and a vast inventory of merchandise. It has all the feels of a Mom and Pop establishment in a large facility. Wonderful staff, personable and excellent customer service. I will definitely be visiting again soon. I highly recommend Bates City Antiques.

Stopped in on my way through town!!! The two gem ladies working there were like my two favorite aunties that I never met! I got a bunch of cool stuff at reasonable prices and they even made me a cuppa coffee. There’s also a place to park a big rig right outside, just make sure you go around the block first! I will be back next time I’m in town. If you are into antiques the journey from Kansas City to St. Louis on Hwy 70 is a collectibles hotbed hub in USA.

Stopped here while on a cross country trip to stretch our legs and let the dogs out for a bit. Close to the interstate and Super friendly people, they weren't going to actually open for another hour but let us in to look around. Lots of antiques inside. Ended up picking up a few things. Would recommend.

I would rate 5 for how friendly the people are, but I shop Antiques so many places in MO and KS as well as other states and was disappointed to see so many booths with extremely overprice items. There were a few (very few) items that were reasonable. Not enough for a rating over 3. Not enough within reason on pricing to come back to look for anything in future.Unfortunate since the folks there are so nice.

Amazing prices, and products. I collect glass baskets, and they have the largest of Fenton that I have seen in a great while. They were helpful, and the shops were clean, well lit, and the coffee and cookies would have been a great deal, had I not already had 2 pots. Its a great drive from Columbia, even on a Cold December day. And I recommend driving just past Oak Grove and taking the Grain Valley Antique Shops in as well. Happy antique shopping!

Great little local shop. I like that you can see the whole thing in about an hour. I was looking for something specific but couldn't find so they took my number and called me a few weeks later when the perfect item came in.

I really appreciated how helpful this place was and clean and well organized, it didn't look like a flea market or a junk store. Very nice place to shop.

There were some interesting items. The staff was nice but I don't like to shop where employees don't wear masks.
