Very overpriced for a used bookstore especially books that are not recent. My husband and I picked out just a few books and it was $74. There’s no signs of prices. We were definitely shocked to hear the price as we visit many used bookstores. Also, it’s very crowded with books in there and definitely quite a few tripping hazards. As many said, it’s probably not up to fire code.

First off, I want to say I think this is a fantastic used book store. People can mention in both good and bad connotations the look and disarray of the shop. But honestly that comes with the territory.What matters is whether you can still see the heart and potential (or floor 😅) or whether it's a fire hazard of a store. This is definitely the former.It has a very kitschy sort of appeal. I see how this place could be, and probably was, a very cozy spot. I find this to be in the genre of book store that needs a pair of fresh eyes to come in, blueprint a new floor plan, and breath some fresh air into its lungs.As far as selection goes: this place has a good amount of everything. I came through the back entrance (could use some signage) and was immediately greeted with my go to horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. A good amount of older and even older titles. As you navigate through some of the tighter alleys and pathways you can get the feel for some of the genres your looking for. I've seen it mentioned, but some genre signage could go a long way, but it's laid out in a way that if you've ever been in a book store before, it's pretty simple to know what is what. I really like the promotion they offer for filling up a tote for 40 dollars. That seems like a really smart and good way to clear space at a good cost effective way for both parties.Will mention for those with kiddos, this is a bit of an oddity. On one hand they have a really good selection for kids and teens, on the other hand, in one of the kids isles it's literally parallel to the romance section, which I find awkward placement.If my advice was welcome, I'd say:Shut the place down for a week, blueprint it, gut it section by section, rebuild and move the shelves, and downsize what you have. Honestly if you had to box up a good amount of the older books and put them out of site in storage until you could build proper shelves, I'd much prefer a walkable area, and a cozy place to look at books over sheer volume of untouched books.Like I said, this place has a grand amount of potential. If you focused on a kids section. Maybe having a small area for newer books that are priced higher or closer to cost, and a fresh coat of paint, this place could be the spot to go instead of the blip on the map it is now.

Wow! I felt unsafe here. There is no way this business is compliant with fire code. I've never gone into a business and felt like I stepped straight into an episode of Horders before. Also took my 8 year old. The children's books are with the romance novels. That was an interesting conversation. And to top it off the prices were absolutely ridiculous. If you value your life, I'd go somewhere else.

This place needs a deep clean and a visit from the Fire Marshall. The isles are overfilled with so many books to trip on or make a stack fall on you or make a bigger mess. It's hard to even find what you're looking for, I'd they even have it. It needs some TLC.

Sooooo many books! Books EVERYWHERE! It's magical. And such a quiet place as well. I found what I was looking for and for what I didn't find I was able to be put on a list for if they end up recieving the books I want. I'll be back very often! Could spend hours in here

The best local used bookstore I've been to. Huge selection. I sometimes have issues finding used CLASSIC literature like Karowak, Vonnegut, Harper Lee, Shakespeare, etc. I even saw the translated The Divine Comedy (which I'm definitely going back for). I had a list to build up my collection that I'm wanting to re-read and they had all of them. I had to narrow it down to 3 not thinking they'd have everything I was looking for! I drive from Lexington for that specific shop and I will continue going!! My new favorite book store. And there's also a cat to pet 😂

This place is a hot mess. Books on the floors in the aisles, I spent more time looking at my feet then the bookshelves so I wouldn't step on books. They do have a good selection if you don't mind spending hours trying to sift through the wreckage. Also, there are no prices on the books, no genres listed anywhere on the shelves so was completely anxiety ridden trying to find books on my wishlist. Since the place was OVERCROWDED with USED books I figured the books couldn't be more than a few dollars each. Picked out 6 hardcovers and the total was almost $70!! Ridiculous in my opinion. One book was published in 1989 AND there were 5 copies to choose from and she still charged $10 for the book. Seems like they need a good sale to get rid of some inventory because the place is literally a mess! I have a cheaper, and far more enjoyable experience going to Half Price Books. Breaks my heart because it's stores like this that make it harder to support local independent bookstores. I made my $70 contribution nonetheless but I'm sorry to say I won't be going back

Best used bookstore in the Midwest. Biggest romance, horror, and sci-fi collection I've come across. If you're looking for a great selection with all the charm an old, dusty bookstore, you'll love Read It Again Books. The owners are as charming as the atmosphere. What a lovely little gem.

Let's just say it's a adventure. It's like a treasure hunt for the perfect book. Almost like a real live Harry Potter store you could disappear in if you go to far in and never be seen again lol. Owner is nice prices are fair but not as cheap as internet but by the time you would pay shipping pretty much the same. Worth at least one visit to see if you can find your way out.

The owner and her cat were super sweet! There are so many amazing books to choose from, we ended up leaving with 50 books lol. I'd shop here anytime. I love supporting local businesses.

Transported back to my youth.Almost any book you could ever want was there, and I wish I had more time to wander through this maze.And it smells of books, not coffee!

Very friendly staff! Wonderful source of older (and some newer) literature, at good prices. Only drawback was the lack of signs showing where the genres were located, but the staff was happy to help show me around. Lovely little shop... can't wait to read these, and go find more!

5 stars because the place is packed full of gems but don't expect any type of book tracking system within the store. You need to come prepared to dig and spend time. Not the most convenient to just walk in and ask for a book and get an answer where its at or if they even have it. Owner and staff are very pleasant and helpful

I had a great time searching through the old books & found a friend! DH Lawrence's The Plumed Serpent. One I'd been looking for. CAUTION: there are piles of books around every corner stacked up on the floir. Could be a tripping hazzard for someone who's not watching their step.

This place is extraordinary! It has books from the floor to the ceiling. I was able to find books I hadn't found elsewhere at this store. I always stop by when I can.

It's great to come in here if you have lots of time to sift through all of the books, but there are a TON of books and you could literally spend HOURS in here looking for that 1 book you're looking for.The good thing is that the owner, normally knows where that one book you are looking for is located.So, if she's not busy you can normally get her help in finding it.

A wonderful find on a cold Saturday. Hundreds of titles in a maze of a layout, complete with a sleepy gray cat, and owner who somehow knows where everything is. I'll be returning here!
