Whole store is over stocked and very messy. Stocking carts are all over the store so much as you can’t even see what they have. Not enough help and the help that are there are not capable of stocking and checking. Takes to long to checkout also. Too much talking.

I went to Dollar General to pick up some hand soap to place at my sinks in my new residence. I prefer this store over other stores as it is usually a very quick in and out. It is not overly crowded with customers, and there are usually not long lines to wait in. They offer a good variety of inventory for household and personal needs.

Really great customer service. The only employee on duty handled my transaction and the growing line with patients and I really appreciate her. She should be recognized, sadly her name is not on my receipt. Oak grove Missouri Evening cashier you rock!!

Why someone desided to put the sidewalk sale in the parking lot right against the handicapped space I will never know. Bad set up.New employees are a great improvement over the ones they had prior to the tornado and their months of being closed. Clean. Reasonable prices. Need to restock shelves quicker.

Always a different employee every time you come. Seems like a place that people do not want to stay working at. Not much help around when you need it. Only 1 register is ever open yet there has always been 2. Seems under staffed. Yes it is convenient when you need a close store, but I'd still rather drive to the local Walmart where the service is much better.

I went into the store looking for the 48 inch shepherd hooks. I hadn't been in store 5 minminutes when a woman who works there came up behind me and ask if the two dogs in the car out front we mine. I told her they were.She started to chastise me about the dogs being in the car with one window being down. I to assure her the dogs were fine. One dog is big and has an aggressive style of barking that scares people.The would back away until I told her I would call who was at the library next door. With that, I walked to the door and left. We went to the next town and got what I wanted.I see my pets as my children and take they their care seriously. Our car was parked in the shade and it was after 6pm in the evening. There was no reason for her to get involved. Maybe if I had been in there over 30 minutes, but less than 5. I will not go back there.

Dollar General is OK.I think their prices are too high on most items, so I rarely shop there. Plus they are so cramped, at least the one here in my town, that you can barely get through it pushing a basket.However; they often have great sales on Gain laundry detergent, which we use. So when they have those sales, I will go in and stock up on the laundry detergent or fabric softener.

The cashier was friendly but the store was dirty as usual. Many trip hazards in the aisles making it hard to squeeze through with a cart. Prices are good. Worth the trip

Like most Dollar Generals you know what to expect but they have all the essentials in a small quick stop shop without emptying your wallet. Pet needs and toiletries, done.

It seems they are always out of cold products like milk. They are now selling alcohol so energy drinks are no longer kept cold in the cooler. It's not a very clean store and most of the staff are not that friendly.

It is convenient. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. I hope they don't close this store now that the new one is built. I love the new store but sometimes the old store is just more convenient.

I pulled into the parking lot at approximately 6:35pm, Sunday June 24th, 2018. There was two woman standing outside the front door, one was sitting in a chair for sale smoking on her phone and the other was standing smoking. I exited my car and they both went into the store before I arrive at the door to enter the store. I was greeted and I said hello back. By the time I entered the store the woman that was standing outside smoking was now ringing up a gentleman purchasing hamburger buns to make sloppy joes.I made my way back to the isle with folder dividers. I had been in this store a couple days before and seen that these particular dividers were marked down 40 % off the .85 price. I thought it was too much and I left. But today I returned to purchase them because in fact they were less expensive than walmart. DC Office 9 inch X 11 inch index dividers 5 count. I took all they had 14 to be exact. I still needed more so I got an additional Clear tab binder indexes, and they were not marked down. I was fully prepared to pay full price of .85 each.When I arrived at the checkout both of the women I seen outside the store were standing at the checkout lane. The cashier, which is the one that was standing up outside rang the one that was marked 40 % off up and it rang up at .85. I said you have a 40 % off sticker on these, but not on the Clear ones. I said I tried to pull the sticker off to bring to the register to show you but it was just on the outside of the plastic bracket that holds the price tag.The woman that was sitting outside smoking, who was not wearing a uniform or name tag said I will go look. She came back and said that is not the one marked down. I said I read the details on the price tag and it is the one that is marked down. The woman said NO IT'S NOT. I raised my voice and said YES IT IS. She said Mam don't raise you voice to me. I walked back to the isle pulled the price tag and the 40 % off sticker and brought them to the cash register and the cashier said it's not these its the envelopes. I said where on the price tag does it show the words envelope? Before she could answer the other woman, said that 40 % sticker was not on that. I said YES IT WAS! She basically called me a liar. I don't appreciate it one bit.Now I am mad, and this woman who doesn't appear to be working at the moment but just there to hang out chastised me and accused me of being a liar.The woman running the cashier was nice enough, but didn't want to adjust the price. I am sure there are people out there that do lie and try to get something for nothing. I was going to purchase these items, along with gorilla glue, and two cans of pringles.But after the way I was treated and insulted I will never step foot in that Dollar General store again.I was purchasing these dividers for my church secretary position. I don't know if you care enough to enough acknowledge this review or not. But I am still upset of how I was treated.All that has to be done is review the video tape. I did not switch any tags I merely brought up the price tag and the 40 % off sticker that was attached to the bin with the index dividers directly above it, that the employees placed on there.There was also some colored index dividers that they had marked down by 40 % that were $1.65 on the row a few bins over from the ones I needed.I needed to get at least 150 dividers to get things organized for the church and I wanted to save a little money. I will be posting my grievance on my social media pages so that no one else experiences this type of behavior.One final note, I did not see a name tag on either one of the woman. But the one woman that was standing up outside when I pulled in did have on a black Dollar General shirt.Thank you for your time on this important matter to me.Looks like from other reviews the ladies that work there seem to think they can chastise anyone they want. I will never step foot in this store again and I have made a complaint with the main office in Tennessee.

This had to be the most organized store I have been in. There were sales people on floor offering help. Store was clean and was able to get down the isle. I know what Dollar General Store I will be going to.

Floor is extremely uneven throughout the store. For people like myself with neurological issues this creates more than a challenge. Store was very cluttered and isles were small.

This is the worst store in Oak Grove they are never open somethings always broken they’re always out of stuff it says open till 10 but you’ll go by there and it’s 6 o’clock and they’re closed they either run out of air conditioning or the registers don’t work it’s always something

They are close to our house & staff are always real helpful & personable. We shop there, literally, at least 3- 6 sometimes more times every single day there!!

Since management has changed I can hardly stand to stop by to pick up anything. If it's not staff and management smoking outside at the entrance, it's waiting in line forever for the one checker to get through all the customers who are lined up clear past the greeting cards, or it's 100 degrees in the store, or it's filthy. Irritating!

Guy checking us out was coughing and wiping his lips with his hands in return touching our stuff as well, I have a Dad on Dialysis and oak grove is a small town not to mention you shouldnt be listening to head phones as ur checking people out very scary and unprofessional

Dollar General of Oak Grove Mo is the only store on the South side of town. Convenient for basic needs. Big over turn in employees

This is a trash can of a store. Its ALWAYS filthy and the staff is awful. This is the closest DG to me and I will definitely drive out of my way to go to a different one. ANY ONE but this one.
