Overall, I'd say it's a really good store. Very competitive prices compared to similar stores. However, I came looking for some gloves. I found their version of the Milwaukee gloves. But they only had them in medium. They do not carry them in large for whatever reason. They would be a very popular glove if they carried them

A little bit of everything in this local hardware and seed store. A nice variety of plants and trees including fruit trees. Great selection of bird feeders and seed by the pound or pre package. Mowers, chainsaws, lawn seed, nice selection of stoves for home or cabins. Great selection of Arkansas flat rock and other hardscape materials for those small or midsized projects. Too much to list, check it out. Prices are reasonable compared to the big box stores.

I have 2 unopened 5gal buckets of Valspar Medallion exterior paint and primer in after calling to make sure they could tint it after Valspar customer service said they would do it and then when I brought them in... they wouldn't tint them even though tinting is a requirement for use of this paint.

We came to buy seeds because the name is Nixa Hardware and Seed Company. We were disappointed that some of the seed bins were empty. Overall, we were pleased with the selection of everything else and spent a lot of money buying some fun things.

There something to be said for service and Nixa Hardware is outstanding. Always someone to answer your question, plenty of cashiers to check you out plus friendly smiles. Prices are competitive too but being able to get in and out then on to the project is really great.

This is a fantastic hardware store that has everything you need, and is local. Way better service than the big box stores, and they still have a huge selection of anything you would need. This might be my favorite store in Nixa!

They came 3 times to fix this thing and it still isn't working but we don't have another $200 for them to come out again. The people are nice enough but it's really hard to get a hold of anyone even to pay our bill.

I had requested someone to come to my place in Cassville MO to clean my propane heating stove. Nixa is a little over an hour away...(Turns out this was a stove Montgomery Ward manufactured from 1976). The technician was Clayton and he was nice as can be. Even though this wasn't a familiar or easy stove to take apart, he took the patience to do so and vacuumed it out....hadn't been cleaned in at least 15 years. It runs like a champ now and I just wanted to thank Clayton and Alicia in the Stove department for scheduling this and completing a rather difficult task. With mileage and labor, it totaled $180. They went the extra mile.... literally!!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

David came out and serviced our pellet stove today. He was very friendly over the phone as well as to my wife when he got there. He did a great job, thorough cleaning and inspection and replaced some service items. Very, very happy with the work and service from Nixa Hardware today, I’ll be sure to use you guys again!*Update: Jacob came out this year and was awesome. Friendly, knowledgeable, clean and thorough. 11-4-23. Middle counter is a bad example of being helpful. Asked in lawn and garden about garden mix (fall plant spring till for nutrients). Was told they were out but if I took a card to the seed counter they would make me up 5 lbs. Seed counter looked at the card and said it would be in lawn and garden. Informed them that lawn and garden was out, and suggested I come her to ask if they could mix me 5 lbs, and the response was do not have it and can't do it. Back to lawn and garden, and was going to give my number to them for a call when they got some in. Instead they dropped the job they were doing, took me in the back, and mixed the seed for me. Lawn and garden 5 stars, the seed counter in the middle of the building 0 STARS!Winter 2018 Sad example of customer service. Asked a simple question about the availability of a product. Got an answer, but it came with an I dont care attitude. My 15 year old son picked up on it and asked as we were leaving, "why do people need to be that way". A hometown store competing with the big box stores needs to be better with customers to compete. Unfortunately Nixa Hardware has gone down hill when it comes to customer service.

Awesome sales and service. Bought pellet stove in Nov 2021. Had issue with it last week called Nixa Hardware and they came out to service stove when service rep completed job he told me there was no charge because of warranty. Wow I was at least expecting to pay for miles since round trip to our place was over 100 miles, but no cost at all.Great sales, service and warranty would recommend Nixa Hardware to everyone.Thanks

This is the best hardware store in the world. Everyone there is so experienced and helpful. Prices are amazing. This place is way more than a hardware store. The small engine department is phenomenal. Those guys can fix anything. Pro tip... If you have any serious questions the people at the farm desk in the back are next level.

Best pellets that I know of for miles around. Knowledgeable staff if you get the right person. Nothing like someone assuring you that they have what you need and after an hour drive and 40 miles one way. You go in and look and look, but can't find it. Then someone asked if they could help and I said I sure hope so and after we both look. We found everything, but what I was told they had after specifically asking twice over the phone and mentioned that I would be coming from quite a ways away. Then against my better judgement let one of employees talk me into buying oversize gasket rope 3/4" instead of 5/8" but less dense and non returnable. So not only a waste of time, fuel, but also waste of money on non refundable gasket material that was a waste of time putting on my stove door because even though the 3/4" inch door rope I got to fit in the door groove it still wouldn't seal because it wasn't dense enough. You have to watch out for some of this aftermarket gasket or generic because it might be correct diameter, but it is a lot less dense. After all that I went home and ordered the right gasket online for less than 20 bucks. Live and learn. I always have to do it the hard way I guess.

Nixa Hardware serviced out Breckwell Pellet stove and I could not give a better review; fixed stove, provided practical education, and left the stove surround cleaner than he found it. Highly recommended. They travel pretty far out for this work too. :)

This place you can genuinely find whatever you need. The staff is always very helpful. The only drawback to this place is since it is not a big box store their prices are going to be a little bit higher. This may constitute in your product being of better build though. They are extremely knowledgeable and anything considering the farming home repair and gardening and they are always willing to help.

We had a huge fence issue with one of our dogs. One of the employees helped us come up with a creative solution and it worked! So grateful to everyone I've ever worked with from the cashiers to the guys helping load in the back. Great place and I will definitely be back!

Love this place for all of my hardware needs! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I even bought a maple tree for my house here about 3 months ago. Not only did I get a great deal on the tree, it's been thriving wonderfully ever since being planted. Their staff was even able to give me a few tips on how to keep it going strong.

As much as I would love to shop at my local Nixa hardware I must say it is a big rip off. I don't understand how they can sell me a 100 dry wall anchors @ 38.67 , while Lowe's sells them at 24.36.I asked the guy at the register if I can get a discount and he looked at me as though I was pathetic. It's a great store but horrible pricing.I wish the owners would have seen the reaction of the cashier it really warrants getting rid of him. I dislike saying this but it is the truth.OK so and 5 4 21 Nixa hardware did right by me. They sent me a $25 gift card and assured me to exercise their lowest price guarantee. Something that I will do in the future. For that I do give them 5 stars.

Nixa Hardware just installed a pellet stove at our our home and and I am very impressed. The 2 man team that installed it were extremely professional and understood their product thoroughly. Took at the time needed to make sure I was comfortable with the operation and that it was installed correctly. Highly recommend them!!

Love this local store! This has been my go-to for lawn care equipment, seed, fertilizer, etc. In addition, they’ve been helpful for smaller DIY projects and often have what’s needed to save a trip to the big box stores around. I’ve called ahead multiple times to verify a product’s availability and the staff is always friendly and helpful.Also, their (real) Christmas tree lot has been a winner for my family for the past 5+ years! Great selection and great prices for fresh trees that last the season.
