2023 update, had to go to DG for items we absolutely needed, took pics of shelf prices bc 2 of 6 items upcharged at register & had to prove theyre mislabeled. Employees don't care. Ohio stores being sued & are closed now for this reason!9 months ago:Disappointed to see I'm charged more at register than what's marked on shelf. I didn't misread barcodes or descriptions, either. Please don't be that store that skims another .50-1.00 off customers, this has happened to me twice in 1 week at the Austin store across from grocery store. I try to watch scans but I'm usually there for 15+ products & it's difficult to set all items on tiny counter space & check transactions.

I always prefer running in or even walking the aisles taking a peek at the new stuff on the shelves. Small enough to enjoy, they've evolved and are still growing and changing. Pretty cool items these days.

I don’t know who the male worker with the hat and glasses is, but due to him I would not advise this store at all. My son is medically compromised and requires several medications to be kept with him at all times, and they are temperature sensitive so they cannot be left in the car. I keep them in a back pack style bag that’s half the size of the average ladies purse and it stays on my back, not on my arm, firmly on my back. Also due to my son being compromised, over the course of the last year if I have to take him with me while I shop we go here, because Walmart is too much of a Covid risk for him, due to this fact I’ve spent easily hundreds of dollars at this store in the past months, and to my knowledge never acted as if we were stealing or being suspicious. This man likes to stalk us through the store, refuses to greet us and treats us like we’re thieves. Every time I look up he’s peeking around a corner at us, or finding a poorly disguised excuse to be RIGHT next to us in an aisle, and if I ask him for help finding something he’s rude about it and won’t help. No we don’t have anything to hide, but we also don’t deserve to be treated like this on absolutely zero basis other than my sons medical bag. Pathetic. I sure hope this man never has to experience discrimination due to a medical condition, and I SURE hope it’s not his child that has to. Corporate will be contacted, after a year of dealing with this I’ve had enough. Will not return and will be placing a complaint.

Half the items I check out are priced wrong. I avoid DG because they are predatory. PEOPLE BEWARE. This has been going on for a long time. Sounds like time for a class action suit.

I always like to mosey through the store's seasonal ailes, they alwys have fun and inexpensive stuff. They are now carrying more health geared snacks too. Its a good place to pick up basic household supplies, usually cheaper than walmart but smaller store so they may not carry the brand you want.

As far as Dollar Generals go this is one of the better ones you can go to. It is clean and organized, no a cluttered wreck. The cashiers are nice and polite.

Employees that work at e.g. store on Austin Blvd Nevada mo are the best that is main reason I go back to that store alot it is great makes shopping so much easier
