Bratcher's has always been a good store for me. Lots of choices even if things I really liked they no longer have, for whatever reasons.Some of their employees could be a little more friendly and some could be a little less unusual acting.Overall good place to shop.

Small town, friendly store, wish all stores in big towns had the courtesy and professionalism the staff has here. It's a little pricey, but it is the only grocery store in this town . No Walmart for miles, which is a good thing.

For a small town store, they sure do charge BIG prices! You spend twice as much on ONE item here versus going to Walmart or ANYWHERE else. It's ridiculous what you spend on food here. I live close by and RARELY shop here just because they are SO high on stuff. But they seem clean. Some of the staff is friendly. But if you have limited food income and can afford to shop elsewhere, please do. You'll save your self money and who does t want that right now? 😄

Um it's a pretty cool place I guess. There was some experiences there definitely. Such as this one employee stood in the way and didn't move after my mom asked a few times. She managed to get through though. It was actually pretty funny and me and my sister laughed about it for weeks and made jokes about it. Then the same employee needed to get through and he asked once and I moved because you know he was just trying to do his job and I wasn't going to be rude to the kid. Oh and this one time this other employee followed me through the whole entire store. And even to the bathroom. It was honestly quite creepy to be honest. Um but she told another employee that I stole something. Which I did not. The other employee defended my honor and that was nice of her. Um but yeah that was I guess pretty cool I kinda felt like a famous person being followed and all. But yeah we also joked about that too. Um but yeah it's a pretty cool place. And would definitely recommend. Keep up the good work bratchers.

They've gotten super on their customer service and availability to get customers exactly what they are looking for. Christine and Dawn are rockstars. Tons of affordable items now too. And the employees help you find the sale items. 👍👍

It's a pretty good store. But one day my mom was trying to get through an isle and one of the employees had a big cart thing in the way, but they were also in the way. My mom said "excuse me" but they didn't move. So she pushed her way through. Then idk maybe a couple days later the same person was on a rascal (they were trying to put it back) and my sister was in the way he said excuse me and my sister did move. I kinda almost felt bad for the dude cause he looked sad. He doesn't work there anymore. At least I don't think he does. But maybe he moved 4 hours away like the dude from Orscheln. Anyways, it's a pretty good store. But one time the girls bathroom smelled bad. Like REALLY bad. The smell stuck to my clothes and I had to take a shower. Sometimes the employees look sad though. Like the dude I was talking about before. There's also another person, they look like a sad dog. Also I seen a strange woman recording people in there. Just kidding. 🤪

I hadn't been to this store since it changed ownership and was still Save-More. It looks so much better now than it ever did before, and has better selection! In fact, it looks a lot cleaner and more organized than most other small town grocery stores. I'm very impressed!

Every time I go in this place to get groceries and or an adult beverage or beer I get these looks and attitude from the young checkers who should focus more on doing their jobs and less on expressing their entitlement and disrespectful attitudes to it's patrons.I appreciate the reply, though a year later, and someone must be looking to improve the over all attitude and moral of the store and it shows. My wife and I still shop with yall weekly and we have also come to realize You are our local market and we should do our part to support all of our local hometown businesses. Thank you and your employees for your effort.skip to present.....things still improving as well as our own attitudes. thank you all for your effort. its definitely not easy dealing with the public on a daily. We still shop with yall weekly and would rather do so. We want to continue to do our part to support local business, local economy. Happy holidays and Merry Christmas.

Prices are extremely higher than Warrenton. Gallen of vanilla ice cream now $8.69 a gallon. Used to be 4.99 to 5.49. Customer service is great never an issue. Very friendly cashiers.

Most of the time I go in to shop they have what I need. When they have the ads posted it's best to go first day of ad because they will sell out of things fast. People are always friendly and helpful in the Montgomery City location.

Prices seem extremely high 30 pack budweiser went up to 28 plus tax was told it was the distributor but right down the street it's still 21 but that's only 1 example only grocery store for several miles and they know it...kinda sad actually for people that can't travel well

This store is not a good place to shop at, they are so unprofessional, and rude. My sister had a really bad experience with the cashier today (she had a gift certificate from her kids' school). She decided to visit the store to buy items with the gift. After she was finished shopping, she gave it to the cashier. The cashier took it and threw the gift certificate down and shouted for everyone that was behind my sister in the line, "what the heck is this!" Sigh, so embarrassing😥My sister asked her to get someone else to help her and she took the gift certificate up and went over to get a lady. The both of them came back to the cash registered and the cashier threw down her gift certificate for the second time and shouted again with bad attitude "what the heck is this, l don't know what to do with this!" It was so embarrassing for my sister, because there were other people in the line. The lady that came over with the cashier started to be obnoxious, and before she even verify the gift certificate she stated that "this could be fraudulent" (she was talking about the gift certificate.Due to their nasty attitude, my sister got out of the store before things got out of hand. She called the store # and asked to speak to the manager. A lady came on the phone and my sister explained the situation to her and she stated that my sister was not "being nice". My sister asked her why she said that she wasn't being nice, and she stated that "you weren't smiling". Please to be aware that my sister had on a mask to protect herself and everyone else's health from potential Covid-19. My sister stated to her how would she knows that she wasn't smiling and the lady said that she was the woman that was with the cashier. Sister asked for her name and she declined, so my sister asked for the owner's name and she declined that as well.I tried to talk with the woman on the phone (3 way conversation), but instead she shouted that "l don't even understand what you're saying anyway!". I asked why didn't she understand what l was saying and l spoke clear and fluent English. She stayed on the phone for a few seconds without an answer, then she hung up on us. We know that we might have our Jamaican accent🇯🇲, but hello we speak proper English 🇬🇧 too 🇺🇸I called another store and was transferred over to Jim Bratchers' phone, but only got his voicemail (l left a message). My sister called the same # and spoke to him and he stated that he wasn't aware of it and apologized and said that "the cashier was probably new or a trainee to use the gift certificate".He told her he was going to call her once he called that store to find out the situation. He then called her back and he said that he knows the manager for 20 years and that "this has nothing to do with skin color or race", mind you race or color was never mentioned by my sister or myself. So it's obvious that the manager told him that my sister is black (l really hope that she told him that she is beautiful too--inside & outside, **put respect whenever you talk about her please😕👩🏾🤗😘).He said that that "there are 2 sides to a story". My sister told him that she asked the manager for her name, but she declined. He asked her why didn't she look at the workers name tag and she told him that all she wanted to do was to leave the store to avoid confrontation.Still waiting for some resolution, not looking to get money, store credit or gift car from the owner. We just need the store to give proper training to all staff members and a genuine apology from the workers. I think we are asking for too much, so that will never happen🤔😪Sigh, it breaks my heart that in 2020 people are so dispirited, discriminative and have no intelligence to understand how to have a good resolution conversation. A owner or manager, should be competent enough to know how to de-escalate, evaluate and have resolution for all parties. This company needs training on good customer service.

When people say "the best choice in town" they should say ONLY choice in town. And the prices reflect the idea that Bratcher's know they don't have to be mindful of keeping prices low. If you don't want a 30 minute ride, this place is your only option. So the prices are all that the market will bear and them some. Today they were charging $1.05 for a standard size can of Best Choice (house brand) cut green beans! This store is a complete RIP-OFF!I'm really tired of the attitude among Montgomery City businesses that "You'll pay whatever we want to charge!" It's worth the cost of gas to drive to Warrenton!

They're the only grocery store in town since save a lot closed more than a month ago. Since then they have put in self check outs and raised their prices! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they at least have a butcher. The management is rude and I only go in there if I won't be traveling out of the county.

Great local grocery to keep you from running to Warrenton or Mexico. They carry most of what you'll need at competitive prices. The deli is good, check'em out!

Buffalo Chicken was horrible.Threw it away in parking lot.Thank you for the offer of a refund. The chicken was old & dry. We got off hwy 70 and headed to KC. If you can reverse the charge on my debit card that would be great. I purchased a banana also.

Well organized clean store. Prices seemed high to me but fall in line with this type of independent grocer. No Walmart anywhere near here.
