Extremely clean facility. The staff has the best interest in mind for the pet and the potential adopter. We were allowed to see multiple prospect dogs to make sure our pup was the proper fit. The staff then made sure we knew what to expect behavior wise after we got home. I feel like they truly care about the whole adoption process 💯! Thank you New Nodaway Humane Society, you are the best around!

The employees are the best. Ruby is just perfect for us. She has gotten very comfortable. She's an amazing dog. She loves having her belly rubbed and looking out the window. She was having stomach problems and Dr Powell gave her a shot and antibiotics and she's doing much better. We love her being around. We miss our Dudley but love having ruby here. Thank you guys so much.

Such an amazing experience! I have adopted 3 cats all together from them and it has been an amazing experience every single time! The cats have been spayed and neutered with all shots and have been microchipped. They take amazing care of all their precious animals!!

I’ve always been impressed with New Nodaway Humane Society. Cleanest shelter I’ve seen and the staff is always nice. The staff is always putting on different events as well which I love, especially the doggie dates! I recently adopted Juliet and it was a easy process. The staff was also very helpful in helping me find a cat that would fit in well with my home as I have two dogs in the house. Juliet gets a long with the dogs so well and I’m glad the staff was there to help me pick her out. Will always be a fan of this place!

I volunteer here and absolutely love it! The employees are very helpful. The animals are extra sweet and I have yet to issues with them. My only complaint is that I can’t take all of the dogs home with me!

Wonderful experience here! Clean facility staffed by folks who really love what they do. The animals are well cared for. We adopted our new baby last week, and they ensure that the animals are current on their immunizations as well as having them spayed or neutered before sending them to their new homes. We had such a great experience that we decided to bring home a little fren for our Midnight! Honestly, I can't recommend them highly enough. ❤️

Very friendly staff, very caring and very helpful. Their primary objective is to find a good home for one of their animals. We went down to adopt 1 for a truck companion and ended up adopting 2. Lelo will take truck adventures with me and Boston is happy at home with my wife and kids. They both are opening up and becoming more and more affection. We love both of them.

What a fantastic place! Both Wendy and Audrey were so kind, lovely and were a joy to be around! AND I just signed the paperwork for a beautiful cat! I'm in total love!!! This is definitely the first place people should go if they want to provide a forever home for a precious cat or dog!!! 🤓❤🐈‍⬛💕🐕💖🤗

Just heartbreaking. Overflowing with animals so if you're looking for a new furbaby-go! Needing cleaned but runs off of volunteers. Only thing can complain about--we went to drop off an app for a little dog that they said the day before no decisions were being made in it for 2 more days. We showed up right after they opened to be told she'd been adopted out already. Very frustrating for us. Word of advice NHS do as you say and say as you do.

I took several kittens there that showed up on my doorstep. Once the owners were found very soon after they called in to come pick them up and they were lied to and told they were gone already. Every pet needs a good home and they chose to lie to their owners and denied those kittens to return. Not ok.

Awesome experience here. We adopted a 4 month old kitten and was very impressed. They pay for spay/neuter, microchip all the pets, vaccines, plus they gave us 3 bags of science diet cat food, 2 cans of food, treats, toys, 2 collars, wormer for his next dose, calender for Dr appt and vaccinations, and a folder of all of his current shots, wormer, etc. Highly recommend. Super friendly people to work with.

I have adopted two cats from here and I absolutely love them! The shelter is clean and there's not of space and activities for the animals! The staff is very nice and helpful Id recommend this shelter to anyone!

Do not adopt a cat here. Staff knew there was a ringworm outbreak and still let one leave. The whole family had to be quarantined plus paying vet and dr bills and miss work. Shameful!!!!!

The shelter has taken a turn for the better the cats enclosures are much larger than they used to be giving the cats the ability to behave more naturally and be less stressed during thier stay the dogs too are whenever possible given as much room as the building allows everything at the shelter is always nice and clean and i love the staff they seem to be doing an awesome job!
