Above & Beyond!!!! From the start to end this company is one of the best I’ve ever had. They are easy to communicate with and they think of everything. KEN & ROB made sure all 11 of my windows were exactly what I wanted. They made me aware of all options and gave me the time to decide. No pressure just great customer service, a great price, top notch warranty and very responsive as I asked many questions.Everything they said came true. The windows are gorgeous and the seals make my house so efficient. The finished look his install team did looked like they were never in my house. They cleaned up and made sure I knew all of the steps prior to doing anything. The professional look has left me and all of my friends and family that I show “Speachless-Wow”. I will definitely not hesitate to call them the next time I need help on a house project. They do everything but the roof 😊. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!!!!! This company has been absolutely great to work with. After considerable water damage, I needed a new kitchen. I was dreading this for several reasons, one of the main reasons being that I just haven't had any positive experiences with remodeling work I've had done in the past. This company is a game changer!After meeting with Marc, I met Derek. Marc and Derek were both great. Derek told me that I was going to have a good experience and that I was going to be happy with the work. He said this so confidently, yet, I was kind of doubtful due to past experiences with other companies.While the wait list for work to be done was long, to me, that meant that this was a sought after company. For that reason, I waited. Am I glad I did!The work and craftsmanship shown by the whole crew was outstanding. Every person was professional, courteous, and friendly. As the work began, I recall walking into the kitchen and finding that the demolition was already done. I'm sure the stunned look on my face led the lead installer, Willie, to say, "we don't mess around". To this I say, you sure don't! The care and attention to detail Willie puts into his work is incredible. This is not a company that just wants to slap some work together and get on to the next project. It was obvious that Willie takes pride in his work and this makes for a very happy customer.I have never been so pleased with a remodeling job! As work progressed, so did my confidence that this project was going to be done successfully. I am so HAPPY and LOVE my new kitchen. STL Design and Build was wonderful to work with. Before I found STL Design and Build, I got quotes from 3 other companies. They were not willing to work with my budget. Being a teacher, it takes a long time for me to save money and I didn’t think I could make a kitchen remodel possible. When Scott came out, he made suggestions of things in my kitchen to keep and how to work with my budget. I was blown away and signed the contract that day. Jake was the best contractor to work with and Willie the lead installer did amazing work. The entire team worked so hard to make sure my kitchen was perfect! I smile everyday walking into my kitchen. We had a crumbling deck and two sets of stairs from a sun room. Tracy designed a beautiful option for two decks and one set of stairs. Once the work began, we found Becky, the lead, responded quickly to all questions and concerns. She was very helpful and did a fantastic job. We are thrilled with the final result. In undertaking the remodel of our kitchen, STL Design and Build helped build on our vision for a classic craftsman kitchen with maximizing storage and utility while maintaining a traditional character.Marc and Scott, our sales and design representatives, made the process easy from the initial layout to the selection of cabinets, granite and appliances. Our scheduling coordinators were flexible and kept our project on schedule. Most of all, our installers Scott and Brandon were skilled and knowledgeable, and focused on quality and detail in our project. Without reservation, we would recommend STL Design and Build based on our experience. Our new kitchen is amazing!

STL just built our large two-story deck. Roger did a great job managing the project details and permits. He maintained constant communication and made sure we were happy along the way. Ken, Grady and Brandon are excellent craftsmen. We were incredibly happy to have hired a company with their construction experience. Our project was tricky. The existing deck was very compromised and located on a steep slope. Ken, Grady and Brandon safely removed the old deck with it’s 3 dumpster loads of materials with amazing efficiency. They were on site each morning in all weather. The result is a work of art. The detail and finish is perfection down to painting the wood support to match the railing and lattice work. The project including a screen room, stamped concrete pad, and hot tub from subcontractor. We included new windows and sliding door installed by STL Design carpenters who are similarly talented. The case molding was finished with perfection to match my existing woodwork. We will use STL Design for future projects.

We hired STL Design & Build to renovate our bathroom, and they did an amazing job! The whole team went above & beyond in all aspects of the job. Our project manager, Jake, was communicative and customer-focused throughout the entire process. The lead carpenter, Brian, did an especially outstanding job on the shower tile, and I appreciate his sharp attention to detail. Kirk, our finisher, laid the LVT flooring beautifully. All of his recommendations for finishing were spot-on—he has a great eye for design! Both Brian & Kirk are friendly, highly-skilled, and reliable. It was a pleasure having them in our home!

We chose StL design & Build because the designer came out to our house multiple times sitting in the kitchen with us and figuring out how we would use the kitchen. Then our project Manager Tim came out multiple times and went over all the details, where we wanted outlets, crown molding style etc. our installation team was absolutely the best! Worked so hard and efficiently. They made every effort to ask us how we wanted something when there were options. I have referred them to 4 friends already. Our next project is going to be redoing the master bath. Based on our kitchen experience, we won’t even consider another company

STL Design and Build did a fabulous job on our lower level. It was completely gutted. They transformed it into a new master suite, spare room, powder room and entertainment/exercise area. It was a large project. They were completely professional the entire time and if there were any concerns they were addressed immediately preventing any issues. We love it!

We used StL Design and Build to replace our siding and two exterior garage entry doors. The siding crew was made up of a team of 4. 3 or the 4 could not speak English, the 4th has a moderate grasp. And kudos to him on learning, I’m sure it’s difficult. And I’m well aware that this is the state of construction industry employment. But I digress. Construction work is messy, right? You expect it. I felt the construction crew could have tarped out an area in which they’d cut the siding and fascia. They didn’t. They did the work all around the house. We have metal shavings and nails that I’m still finding a month later. We were told they would run through the yard with some magnetic tool…never saw it happen. The only detailed clean up was me, my husband and our daughter. We have a dog and a grand child that’s regularly in the yard.Cutting the siding around electrical outlets was shoddy resulting in being able to see how they jaggedly miss cut. They fixed it by adding a small piece of siding to better snug up to the box, but what was once a wall without seams, now has a seam from this short piece. So, they screw up, we are stuck with their fix. You have to watch every day, multiple times a day to call out issues. You are your own advocate and don’t forget this.When we had issues, we’d have to call the foreman who was running around the St. Louis area checking other projects. He was very responsive, no complaints. Very nice man. Just know this going in to your project.Office staff at St L Design was not helpful. They assign you to a project manager, I don’t know why, this person only contacted me after I called to complain about something. Just an extra person jacking up the cost of the contract. They set you up on an app to view your contract, billing, addendums and warranty information. I thought it was odd that I had warranty information on decks and patios. But figured they just loaded all warranties on to every customers job. Until…final day when the useless project manager calls to tell me work is complete and then sends me a final note thanking me for the work on my outdoor deck and living space! I mean really. Are you so checked out if your job that you don’t pay attention to what type of work each customer has going on?!The garage doors were replaced by a wonderful young woman who is excellent at her job and unfortunately, it’s overshadowed by the annoyances that happened with the siding installation.EDIT: They are also unwilling to work with our claims adjuster on the siding which was damaged this past summer by wind. Adjuster needs to know the square footage of yellow siding which was the damaged color. Such a shame.I probably would not hire them again. They’d have to really wow me with a bid to remodel the kitchen.

Stl Design and Build replaced my 22 year old rickety deck with a beautiful new, well-built, tigerwood deck. I can't wait to get some new deck furniture so I can enjoy it. As it is, I enjoy looking at it through my windows. Louis, Roger, and the crew were very professional and excellent to work with. I would recommend STL Design and Build to anyone.

The work they did was just average, they skipped some caulking that my wife ended up doing herself. The person collecting the project money was being very aggressive and sometimes giving threats about being paided. . I wouldn't recommend them to my friends or family.

Just had our patio sliding door replaced by STL Design & Build. Even though this was not a huge job the salesman took his time and showed us all the options available. Having 3 dogs we decided on having the blinds inside the door and wow what a great look for the room now!Highly recommend this company for any home improvement projects.Service: General door installation

I'm very happy with the deck install they completed, along with replacing a storm door, lamppost, and porch railing. Everything looks great!Becky, my Project Manager, was very responsive anytime I had a question, or something came up during construction.Larry, their Master Electrician, was very helpful when the deck ended up being too close to the electrical service drop to be able to pass final county inspection, and coordinated with Ameren for me to arrange that the drop be moved to a much better location. This also turned out to be a solution for some upcoming landscaping issues involving tree placement.Overall, the experience was very positive, and I would definitely use them again!Services: Deck installation, General door installation, Composite decks

I contracted with STL Design and Build to upgrade our master bathroom. We were very pleased with the attention given to us by Bill Lucas in helping us make decisions on what we would like to do. He provided drawings and such so that we could get a vision of what we were going to do and we approved trusting him with his experience. It was over 10 months from the time we signed the contract but they were very upfront about that due to the amount of work they had on the books. We were notified when they planned to start the project and it did start on that day. The workers that were in and out of our home had lockbox access which made it convenient for us to not be home. Project went fairly smoothly but when the onyx was ready to be put up, there was a broken piece which had to be ordered and that took some time. We also received a broken tub and that also had to be reordered which took additional time bit neither one of those things were the fault of STL Design and Build. Jeremy was our lead and he was great at the construction and very nice to work and talk with about where he was each day. I will note that communication was a bit hard at times mainly because they use an app to communicate with but my email would not accept the updates from that app for some reason and there were many times I would not look at the app for days and not know what was going on. Tim did utilize text a few times but would mostly respond to my texts on the app. For future clients, please understand that they do not include painting in the quote nor did it look like they planned on it since we have some rough spots on our walls that had to be fixed by the painter even after he had already done the work. Bill L. did help in getting the painting done while we were on vacation so that was good service even though it was an addtional expense we were not expecting. Overall our experience was positive even though it took longer than anticipated. We would use STL Design and Build again but would be clearer on some of the requirements.

We had an amazing experience working with St. Louis Design and Build on a bathroom remodel. Everyone we worked with was really helpful and timely from the beginning to the end of our project. The design team really took the time to understand what we wanted. They suggested less pricey material options to use when available. We got a great financing option with the company and the contractors were timely and professional. We were stressed just thinking about starting this project but the whole process was seamless and broken into do-able steps. Kitchen, laundry room and basement remodel in Chesterfield. The team at STL Design and Build did an amazing job! We had the wall removed between our kitchen and dining room and the space was totally gutted and our dream kitchen was installed by STL. So now instead of having a separate dining room that we never use, we have a huge eat-in kitchen that is gorgeous. We LOVE it! We especially loved working with Jeremy who was our lead installer and Craig who re-did our staircase spindles and helped along the way. The team also updated our finished basement with new flooring, drywall and ceiling. Both projects turned out beautifully. What we appreciate most was the responsiveness to our needs and concerns.
