Nice place to stop for food, coffee or just ice cream. Pretty expansive, (but not expensive) selection of dishes for breakfast, lunch, dinner. Owner Jon is a biker himself.One note: all the dining is outdoors, so rainy days you'll have to gather under the canopy.We did not camp there, looked like just tent camping, but also has toilets and showers.Vegetarian options: We didn't have vegetarian dishes, but there are several choices available.Kid-friendliness: It's all outdoors, so let the kiddies run about. No worries about spilling or yelling.

We rode the Big BAM on the Katy ride, and stopped at the KT Caboose on our last day out on the trail between Hermann and Augusta. It's a great place. John, the owner is just a really nice guy. Somehow he kept about 5 group orders all straight while cooking everything outside directly in front of all of us.We had several things, harvest apple sandwiches with vegan cheddar, pumpkin bread, tomato soup with pepperjack cheese. Everything was delicious. John was expecting a lot of people, so he had a limited menu for the day, but we enjoyed everything we had.My wife is vegan and honestly, finding vegan food can be a real challenge. I'm not vegan, but I often eat vegan/vegetarian and have to be on the lookout for the right stuff. KT Caboose has the right stuff for vegans and vegetarians. Oh my gosh, like finding a diamond in the middle of nowhere.The surroundings are rustic, kind of quiet, not middle-of-nowhere, but not a really busy place either. It's a perfect stop for someone riding the Katy though. Unfortunately, I'm not local; we would just stop there every time we go through.

Pleasant drive or ride to a nice little breakfast/lunch spot on the Katy. Had the Beyond Burger with a side of chips. Perfect for a late warm summers day. Owner is friendly and happy to chat if you are inclined.

Very cute place for breakfast, lunch, and all day meals. The gentleman who works (owns) this place is super nice and friendly. Highly recommended if you are around the area. I will definitely come back.

I keep forgetting to write a review, so here we go! AMAZING. Through and through. My husband and I wanted to check the place out after a bike date on the Katy Trail. The owner's place is in the perfect spot to dine after a nice ride. He was so hospitable and friendly and we really enjoyed eating outside on the connected patio area. The food was also very delicious and there are great, healthier selections for those wanting something more fresh after exercising. The owner was there working by himself and said during the off season he pretty much runs it all himself, so please be patient if you go and have to wait in line or for your food, it is WORTH the wait. Not to mention, we overheard him speaking to some other guests who took advantage of his campground package that allows access to showers right on the premises. He is a super rad guy and he is a very professional and runs his business for the happiness of his customers!!

A special little place along the Katy Trail in Marthasville Missouri. Great food, great service, and a quaint atmosphere.Vegetarian options: I saw plenty of vegetarian options on the menu, and they all looked good. I plan to return and try some.Parking: Very few parking spots available.

I only stayed for a night while passing through on the Katy Trail as part of a larger crew, but the owner, Jon, was an awesome guy who served us all an amazing breakfast. Camp site is primitive, but does have a shower and bathroom. Electricity outlets can be found on the deck of the caboose. Definitely plan on coming back with the wife and kids.

We love the KT Caboose. I’m not sure what the best part is, the owner Jon, the awesome food or the great prices. It’s a great place to sit on the patio, watch the through hikers and cyclist on the Katy Trail and visit with neighbors and visitors. Sad that he’s going to close for the winter months. We look forward to Jon coming back next spring.

We couldn't stress how this place is a must stop for lunch along the Katy trail. The owner is the chef and service here. Outside seating only right along the Katy trail.He has a simple menu, and I always stop for my coffee fix.

Host is super friendly and knowledgeable. He chatted with us while we ate some delicious sustaining food for our bike trip. He gave a lot of good tips and directions for those trying to get around the trail. Camping amenities are simple but good for the price, with a place to charge, bathroom open all night, and a hot shower accessible.

Plentiful vegetarian options. My wife got the caprese wrap, it was delicious. I got the mayor, which was also very good.We both drank fruit smoothies. Everything was reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere and conveniently close to the Katy trail.Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian lunch options. Before preparing the caprese wrap that my wife ordered, the owner/chef picked the basil from the garden. I had a couple small bites and it was delicious.

Owner was super friendly and helpful. I got the waffle and it was delicious. The Dutch Mess was also great. The chicken dog, not so much. The price is extremely reasonable and on par for the portions. Recommended.

We rode the Katy trail from Kansas City to St Charles and the KT Caboose was by far the best stop we made! Great healthy food (a rare find on the trail), hot shower, camping, clean bathroom. John is an experienced through hiker and cyclist and knows how to cater to those on a long excursion. Please…stop in and experience this gem in Marthasville!
