I don’t even know where to be begin, from the 40s themed shop, barbershop and general decor in the restaurant this place is so calming. Absolutely perfect match for anyone looking for the small town vibe. The hotel room was clean and perfect for my pet, wife, and I! The restaurant had a delicious breakfast, highly recommend trying the French toast and omelets! Overall this mercantile Hotel is a great choice!

This little town is diamond in the rough. My husband and I were passing through on our way to Utah and we were both amazed with the uniqueness and beauty of this hotel. The second you walk in it’s like you took a step back into the past. The 1940s style runs through the lobby to the soda shop/mercantile with the rooms having a much softer tone. The family that owns the Inn are friendly and great to chat with. If you get the chance definitely find the time to chat with them.

We were in Marble Hill for a little day getaway with some great friends of ours. They had eaten at EC several months ago and recommended we go there because they remember it being quite tasty. The looks of the place were awesome. Old school building on the main strip of town. The inside has been renovated/restored to look like an old mercantile shop and also like an old school soda fountain bar. Now back to the food. I had the Club Sub sandwich and it was extremely good. My wife had a breakfast sandwich that she said she enjoyed immensely and our friends both had the chicken salad sandwich. They both said that it was great and they would order it again for sure. I apologize for not taking any pictures of the building. We have already said that we will make plans to go back and stay at the hotel. I will get plenty of pictures then. Thank you

Cannot say enough about this placeWe made a 9 hour trip in the midst of 2 major storm systems to the area to pick up our puppy and this place was so beyond helpful in this. They let us check in almost 12 hours early! The room is smaller but this is exactly what we needed for this trip. Just a place to crash and rest up! The bed was super comfortable. Shelby even made sure we had the furthest room upstairs so we could get some sound sleep during the dayI spoke to both the owner and Shelby during our visit and they are the nicest people. If we ever make our way back through, without a question, we will be booking here againWe now have our puppy and couldn't be happier

Really beautiful place!Christy was a great hostess, very accommodating and helpful. Cookies and coffee when you check in (or whenever you want)!I had room number 5, which I thought was so cute - I liked the wall art, it had some interesting furnishings, and it just made me smile when I walked in.My brother had a bigger room, #2, and he was equally pleased.Memory foam mattress, good water pressure and towels, clean, lots of electrical outlets - hard to ask for much more.FYI, the hotel is on a corner with a stop sign, and the odd number rooms are more exposed to that, so there is a bit of street noise, but once I started running the wall unit, I didn’t hear it at all. Also, there’s only street parking, but that was fine with me.Good value, and certainly a place I would stay again!

Review of food only: outstanding. Clearly scratch-made with love and pride, served promptly and with kindness. Our group had breakfast and lunch on homemade bread, dessert of ice cream made in an old-timey churn. They serve real half-and-half and real butter, which shouldn’t be noteworthy but definitely is.Food & drinks: Worth the lovely country drive.Noteworthy details: Details galore. Soda fountain chairs came from a local Woolworth’s. Awesome pink sink in the ladies room was found in the building.

We were in town to see family. This was closer than Cape Girardeau and the same price. The rooms were nice for a small town hotel. The lobby is nicely done, and the restaurant is like stepping back 50 years, pretty cool. The beds were actually really comfortable to us. I would have like to have had some hot chocolate or apple cider for keurig style coffee maker.

Had lunch here today with some friends. The tiny cafe is adorable and the food and service excellent. I had a BLT and it was one of the best I’ve had. They didn’t skimp on anything. Their homemade lemonade was delicious.Update: We went back the next day for dessert. OMG! I had the pumpkin cheesecake and it rocked!

We did not stay in the hotel but had lunch in the mercantile. Service was amazing. My chicken salad was so good along with the old fashion soda. I wish I could give 10 stars. The made in house waffle cone with chocolate ice cream was our #1 favorite. Thanks to the man working at Munchies for recommending we go here. Don’t sleep on this place it is a jewel. The entrance is through the hotel lobby.

Stayed here before last minute with. No issues. Out of respect, reserved a month ahead of time for next visit. Wasn't told they charge you up front or 48 hour cancelation fee. Normally, even at the Hilton all the way down to motel 6, a reservation isn't charged until check-in. I intentionally leave a low balance in this card for online purchase. Hotels etc.. for scanners only loading funds for exact use amounts. They tried to hit the card 3 times without permission and never once contacting me over the matter. Then threatened a 48 hour cancelation fee, which I was within their guidelines of 48 hours while canceling. So why the threat if I'm within the window to cancel without the fee. When called out on the unauthorized multiple attempts to charge my card and the 48 hour fee she hung up on me. Practice good business. If they would have just stated this while making the reservation over the phone it wouldn't have been an issue. Won't be back for this reason.

Live in the area, so have never stayed in the hotel. Have ate there a few times, always great food. Above the food, is the amazing service. We have three daughters and they are a handful. Today our daughter was complaining that her four leafed clover looked sick. She received a bowl of water to make it feel better. Awesome place, with awesome service!

My wife and I stayed here on March 30th and we were very impressed! We’ve stayed in literally hundreds of chain hotels but never a family owned and operated type accommodation. It was so refreshing to walk into a place that you could immediately tell was very well taken care of. The owners were super nice people and you could tell they worked hard at making sure their hotel was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenities that made for a great stay. We will definitely stay here again!

Good, fresh food. I love that they're doing it right - old fashioned soda fountain, decor and furniture are tasteful, etc.

My partner and I made an unplanned stop here as we were passing through town on a road trip, what a gem of a hotel. We have absolutely nothing negative to say, lovely staff and great service, complementary snacks and coffee (with the convenience of some additional items for purchase, eg soft drink), comfortable and clean rooms. The cafe due to be opened down the track will be a great addition for grabbing some breakfast. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Amazing experience! This place is a hidden gem tucked in a little town among st picturesque rolling hills. Wonderful service and gorgeous rooms. So much nicer than staying in a chain hotel! Thank you for the great stay!Rooms: Beautiful, cozy rooms. Bed was firm but comfortable. Just the right amenities for a nice little place like this. Loved our stay.

Very friendly! Make you feel right at home. Forgot my winter gear and they got right on the phone for me to find the closest place I could go purchase coveralls without me even asking them too.
