I took my daughter to a youth barrel racing clinic here and everyone was so friendly and helpful!There is a nice bathroom, stalls, and plenty of truck/trailer parking. The arena is nice also.

We love sitter downs, ran by great people! Any time we are looking for a good trail horse they are our go to! They hold amazing clinics right here near the heart of Kansas City, always have amazing food trucks when in attendance! We look forward to as well the annual tack swaps! Came to ride in the Ashley Purdin horsemanship clinic. Kelley at Sitter Downs was great helping me get my horse settled in his pen for the weekend. She was extremely nice and answered my many questions. Highly recommend this barn.

We had such a wonderful time during the Cal Middleton clinic at Sitter Downs Arena. Kelly is warm, welcoming, and fun. Boarding our horses for the clinic was awesome! Great stalls, great care, beautiful arena and friendly fellow horse lovers. We are looking forward to attending more clinics at Sitter Downs.

Great facility! Incredible owners! They watch out for their horses and their owners too. We have been at a couple of other local facilities and they were not even close to this facility! You will feel like your at ho,e with family your very first day! We will be board's for life!

We just bought our horses this Spring and Sitter Downs came highly recommended. They haven't disappointed. We love it there and can't imagine our horses boarded anywhere else. Being new to horses, the owners looked out for us and showed us the ropes, got us set up with lessons, made clinics available and not to mention the wonderful group of friends we have made there. Everyone here is so welcoming and helpful. There are all sorts of opportunities here beyond just boarding your horse. This place has become my "happy" place. We love it here.

This place was awesome! Great, friendly people going out of their way to help. The horse stalls were nice and clean. The inside arena was big enough to support 8-10 people and their horses. The sand was nice, deep, and soft. Will definitely be back to try the trail ride next time!

I have had a wonderful experience boarding my horse here for the past 4 years. My horse gets excellent care here and love the natural environment/herd my horse gets to live it. Love that it is across the street from Blue Gray Park and I can just hop on my horse and ride great trails anytime I want. It's been a blessing for me to be able to board here.Love the Sitter family.

The best. Finally I feel at home and know my horses are well cared for. They are friendly and kind. There is always someone to ride with and fun things to do. Retha, George and Kelly are knowledgeable horse people and are always there to help if needed. I love this place. Oh and NO DRAMA!!!

I’ve boarded my horse at Sitter Downs for ten years. They take excellent care of the horses. George, Retha and Kelly care for the horses as if they were their own. Beautiful pastures for the horses to graze on and good quality hay fed in the winter. Love the atmosphere at Sitter Downs, great group of boarders, we all have fun together. I Highly recommend Sitter Downs.

Today I called Lees Summit Animal Hospital to schedule a visit and said that I would need an hour notice to get there to get my horses up. I got a call from Dr. Bock saying that he could be at the barn in five minutes. I couldn't make it, but Kelly Sitter was there for me. She got my two horses out of the pasture, got them vetted, and sent me follow up photos as well. They love and care for our horses as their own, I would never board anywhere else. George, Retha, Kelly and Michael are the best.

The best trails for all riders - from "easy to ride" to a more challenging experience. You will find the best people to know from all walks of life - the Sitters and their boarders. I have boarded here since 2009. I love the natural herd environment - no locking your horse in a box stall to go crazy from boredom. Their pastures are the best - my horse thought she had died and gone to heaven when she was turned out on that lush grass!Highly recommended!

My husband called them today. They hung up multiple times after hearing his accent (he called back after they hung up the first time thinking it was a bad connection) and said they would block his number and that he should just google horse farms instead of talking to them.
