This is the first time I've ever been to a Hy-Vee and I was completely amazed at what was offered inside. Aside from a great selection of food products, I was surprised to find a bar inside next to the liquor department. It has its own KC Chiefs shop, various food court places to eat, a place to sit and eat, and even a little candy store. I found some of the prices to be quite high in comparison to other grocery stores, but other items were actually a bit less expensive. The selection is why I will return, that and well-lit wide aisles and friendly people.

I stopped and grabbed some sesame chicken today for lunch, and when I got back to my office realized the chicken was still pink and not cooked through. The dough was still moist and completely uncooked. When I called they said bring the food back in and they will give a refund. Customer service began to hang up the call with me but I had to ask to see if someone would make sure this food was not being served to other people. The less then concerned customer service agent on the phone transferred my call to the food area. I then told them that the sesame chicken was not done and they said they need to remove it from the food area. I hope they did.After work I brought in my food that was uncooked. The less than concerned manager, gave me a gift card for my refund. Really, you give me uncooked food and I get a gift card back? I would prefer my money back.Now if that manager would have eaten what I ate, I feel that she would seem more concerned about the situation. Not to mention, I pray I don’t get food poisoning. This place is a joke, customer service doesn’t care and management defiantly doesn’t care if they poison you.

Always friendly employees and well stocked isles. Not to mention their everyday deals that make it hands down a top place for me to shop. My family also loves the precooked meals that make dinner a breeze during the week.

I have never been so disappointed in a Hyvee Bakery! Look at the cake they gave my friend almost ruining her 30th birthday! Here is a picture of the cake they swore they could do, the notes they took confirming her order, and then the cake they gave her. Not even close and she barely got an apology. Quit letting newbies or teenagers do custom cake orders!

I just went to this Hy-Vee for the first time. Every single employee I encountered was rude and didn’t know anything about the store. I was least impressed by Connor who checked us out. 0 customer service skills. No hello, no do you have a perks card, no thank you and he chose not to bag our groceries as we were being checked out. I did most of the bagging afraid he would put canned soup on top of the bread. Lastly I was paying part in cash and the balance on the card. He didn’t seem to comprehend this concept at all.

Clean, friendly, workers took you to find what you needed. Lots of store brand choices. One guy tracked me down to provide a container of ham salad that I wanted. Impressed with this store.

Always clean. The employees always help me fix prices when they don't ring up right. I do find it expensive if it's not on sale, so I stick to on sale items only. I also like the fuel saver deals.

Great store. We love this location for desserts, produce and the liquor department. This Hy-Vee location has one of the best selections of bourbon in the metro area and a staff that is knowledgeable about each brand!

Very rude produce guy when explaining why they ran out of avocados. Very rude customer service in self checkout line from old lady that clearly hated her job because she had been there so long. I will continue to use the pharmacy because they are quick and professional but don't plan on grocery shopping there anymore.

If you go through the checkout and grab cookies right by the door are you stealing since you've already been through checkout but haven't left the store? Your policy which most people are unaware of is once you go thru checkout you have no intentions of paying. I'm sure most people think you must exit the store to be acused of stealing. Maybe you should post that somewhere since you sell items right by the door which is far from the exit but on the way out after checkout. You also sell watermelon outside the doorway but if you grab one you're intending to steal it. It can't be both ways Hyvee. I've witnessed it twice now and it's unfair.

A clean and updated store. The lighting is nice. This store carries a lot of up and coming products. The meat counter is great, as well as the hot food counter. The parking lot is very large. The floral area is very nice.

I use Hy-Vee aisles online because this is so close to me. Love being able to just drive up and pick an order up especially on busy weekends. Also I end up saving a ton of money on gas by shopping.

They have an excellent plant selection. Their pharmacy has some of the best prices in the metro and they are very kind if you have to use a GoodRx coupon (some pharmacies act annoyed by this). Never had a bad experience at this location

Spent $256.00 today on 5 bags of groceries. Didn't even get a single cent in fuel saver discounts, not one. This is why we shop at Walmart 98% of the time. Have the receipt but of course Hyvee doesn't allow photos with their Google reviews...

An update to Hyvee Pharmacy.Management contacted me to apologize. Hyvee decided to refund my $150 prescription charge. They said that shouldn't have happened. I appreciate them correcting the error. Might need a little more training for their staff.

I did like coming to this Hyvee until today 1-16-2023. I come here at least three times a week and never felt like I did today.I came in today with my two daughters for groceries only to be followed around the store by Tammy the security guard. We went down another aisle, I watched her look around for us and when she saw me looking at her she smiled and went down another aisle.We were able to continue shopping without Tammy the security guard for about 20 minutes and then my daughters was getting Starbucks and this lady started following us again. At this point I called for a manager while checking out. Tammy followed us to the check out to watch me ring up my stuff. I spoke with a manager about getting Tammy the security guard retrained on her job description and not to profile us.This could have went another way but I moved with wisdom and got the situation handled the best way I could because racismis all ways be in people.

This is my favorite Hy-Vee but this last visit was less than great due to quality. We got chicken grillers and the meat counter guy, who was very pleasant, appeared to have to rip them apart from the others in order to get them out of the case. They ended up totally falling apart on the grill. We also bought some preseasoned asparagus for the grill. It was super salty. The stuffed mushrooms were great! The Jack Stack seasoned smoked salmon was disappointing. It hardly tasted smoked at all.The store is always clean and well stocked. We'll give the grilling items another try in the future.

I love this Location. The shelves are usually very well stocked and the store is clean and easy to navigate.(Despite the entitled seniors that stand in the way for 20 minutes while you patiently wait for them to carry on with the last 14 hrs of their lives) I love it even more after the remodel. The liquor dept has improved with a great aesthetic and great atmosphere. The deli and fresh prepared food depts are astounding in quality and customer service. I wish I could get the same service on the isles as the employees seem to look and walk away as soon as they make eye contact with you. Other than that I truly enjoy shopping here and look forward to seeing what they have next for us.I will Give the full five stars when they work on customer service in the isles.

I am leaving the Google Review here as the Hy-Vee store will not reply or respond to my direct contact with them as was promised:I have been a regular customer at the Lees Summit Hy-Vee for 6 years now. The past 12 months have been absolutely horrendous & ridiculous regarding the huge remodeling project that lasted for about 9 months.In addition, the on-line orders being fulfilled by store employees take up entire aisles so the live, in-person customers have to turn around and go elsewhere. This is becoming more & more commonplace each day. This is unacceptable especially since there are so many senior citizens in there.And thirdly, while I understand this new age Self-check out, it's also aggravating & frustrating. Having said this, I went through regular check out the other day and the POS cashier wouldn't give me my receipt and, and I had to reach up, over, and down to get my stuff which was laying right in front of her. She apparently was incapable of performing menial customer service by handing me my just bought stuff. I have grown to hate Hy-Vee. Most others store aren't much better. Just Hy-Vee seem to be leading the way with ineptness and huge lack of customer service.EDIT as of 11/11/2022:Still a One-star Review. On Nov. 11, 2022, I spent almost $200 for a small buggy of grocery items for only 2 people. But in addition to the high prices, this whole day’s experience is totally UNACCEPTABLE!Hy-Vee’s slogan ought to be more reflective of its actual store environment: “A Pile in Every Aisle!” Today’s store condition is not only a one-time mess, but a regular condition on a very regular basis. Why? Because:1 - Pallet after pallet after pallet (NO EXAGGERATION!!) of merchandise clogs EVERY aisle across the entire store;2 - Online order carts fill in the remaining free space that the pallets don’t take up;3 - So many employees are wandering around that apparently online orders are more important than real, live, in-person PAYING customers are considered.Aisles are so crammed with pallets that the real live customers CANNOT reach merchandise.In the neighborhood, there are a few retirement communities who shuttle the residents to & from this Hy-Vee. These retired folks HAVE MONEY, and yet their visit to this location is actually detrimental to their experience; many have walkers, canes, scooters, and there is literally no room to maneuver around all the ‘crap’ the store has everywhere waiting to opened & shelved. I know this location has a night shift, but from the looks of things, apparently it’s the day shift’s responsibility to move, open, and stock shelves, especially in peak shopping hours…sounds logical to me!The shopping conditions of this particular Hy-Vee location are 100% UNACCEPTABLE! After having endured 9 months of a horrible store remodel experience that ended about 6 months ago, that was bad enough. But now stocking & shelving merchandise, and filling online orders just overrun in-person PAYING customers.This whole Hy-Vee experience is a deal breaker for any customer with any common sense at all. I am a valid customer that has been going to this location for 7 years since I moved to Lees Summit, MO. I am in the retail business and this is in no way conducive to potential sales, a pleasant shopping experience & environment, and is detrimental to not only paying customers, but to the employees who are trying to do their job.I believe their location needs an extreme house cleaning in both employee status and when to perform actual merchandise activities such as stocking shelves. It was never this way a few years ago, but this location just continues to deteriorate on a regular basis.The attached photo is only 1 picture of the mess this store has come to.

Absolutely GORGEOUS floral arrangement from the Lee's Summit Hyvee! My mother-in-law had her first chemo treatment and this absolutely made her day!! They were accommodating by not using strongly-scented flowers (like lillies) in the case it caused nausea. Thank you so so so much! They are stunning days later!! The floral artists at Hyvee really gave it their all in making this uneasy time hopeful and bright!!

I like the selection of vegan items. I am frequently paying higher costs for items advertised. Every time I use my Hy-Vee card, but I still pay at least $9 to $10 more on my bill than is marked in the store.
