Just returned from our family's annual float/camping trip and wanted to share a review of how awesome this place is. If you're looking for a place with hard drinkers wearing beads after a float, this isn't the spot. But if you want a gorgeous spot to spend time with family and lots of activities (basketball, swimming pool, arcade, playground, movie night, etc) run by cool folks, this place is amazing.Rooms: Spots vary from rustic camping spots to a large cabin with AC and every option in between.

We always have a great time here. Campsite and cabins are clean and very well taken care of. It’s a fun place for both the young and old. I love that it’s a very family friendly atmosphere and the owners are wonderful. We always book a canoe trip too and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Niangua River.

First time camping with Wild Oaks, we will be back. Family friendly, clean electric camp sites all within a short distance to very well taken care of shower/bathrooms. Very helpful staff, other campers were friendly and respectful. Peaceful during the day and night, live music on Saturday night was just perfect. Once that was over it was chill mode again. Loved it! Thanks for making our camping trip so relaxing and enjoyable!

Wild Oaks Campground is a wonderful place to camp. The showers are clean, the water is hot, and the staff is friendly. Everything you would expect, plus, you get a pool, a playground perfect for elementary age kids, and a game room that is air conditioned! Will definitely stay here again.

It's a nice place clean great music on the weekends managers are friendly. Olny problem we had was the owners grand kids running around without supervision at all. The kids are rude to the guest in the pool like they make a point at it , and they will run right through the middle of the camp sites without a care at all for other people's things . Other than that it's a great place, but with taking that into consideration we will not be back .

Update: As you can see, I not only tested positive at home, but also at the Dr's office. So, it was very much a valid illness. If you guys prefer to offer a "BoGo" or tell customers they don't have to stay home when they have Covid, that is absolutely your prerogative.... I don't want to support any company who doesn't do their part to eradicate Covid. So, I hope you enjoyed my two-night donation.Really disappointed that I have to write a negative review here, but people should be warned. I originally paid for a cabin earlier this month so we could go on a float. Our float got canceled due to storms, so we spent the time in the cabin. (Although it was rather annoying that we had to go find firewood at different places because the office wasn't open ONCE during our 2 days there) No big deal. I scheduled another stay with these guys for our rescheduled float (which was supposed to be this coming Tues). I tested positive for Covid today (I originally tested positive last week and spent 5 days in bed, sick as a dog, with a fever... I opted to restest before going back in public). I had no problem getting the float rescheduled/postponed through Majestic Floats... However, when I called Wild Oaks, the first woman told me she would have to call me back because she was in the middle of something. An hour and a half later- without even speaking to me- my credit card was charged the remaining amount for the cabin (which previously was finalized once I arrived to the campsite). When I called back, I spoke to a different woman who told me their policy is 10 days notice in order to get refunded (I wasn't even wanting a refund, just to reschedule), and she then said " I mean, you don't even have to stay home if you have covid anymore". Mind. Blown. Yes, you very much so DO need to stay home if you have covid. That mentality is why 3 years later, we're still dealing with this nightmare.Moral of the story. I was not allowed to reschedule. And realistically, I'm not sure I would have wanted to at that point... if they are okay with contagious people roaming around just to make a few bucks, that isn't a place I feel comfortable staying anymore. The woman obviously could tell I was annoyed so she unethusiastically said she would give me a BOGO coupon for my next stay... I declined. The whole thing was very poorly handled. And incredibly disappointing.

Fantastic customer service! We especially loved the live music and the down-to-earth service. We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend this camp ground.Update: We're back! We decided to bring the family down from Kansas City for a 4-day retreat. We are staying in the 12-person cabin. It's beautiful! My girlfriend said she wishes she could bring it home! Haha! This will be a regular spot for us for sure.

Group of eight. One person liked the ice water. The potatoes for breakfast were old and boiled. One of us found a hair in our pancakes. The eggs were cooked as requested for half the people. Good service though.

Wild Oaks Campground provides incredible accommodations, the kindest and most genuine staff, fun, amenities, facilities, food and an overall great time! Rent an incredible, adorable cabin or pull up your RV for an evening! There's live music on Saturday nights, an on-campus cafe/store with incredible food and all those little things you might need without having to leave the grounds!Canoe and raft rentals available along with buses to and from The Little Niangua. No other campground compares to the stellar service and amazing staff you'll find here!Wild Oaks Campground is my favorite getaway from the hustle and bustle of living in a major city, which KC has truly become over the past decade. No other campground compares to what you'll find here, only a few hours away from your major city!!!

I've never been here, but I called to see if they were able to accommodate us because we go "Jeep Camping" and some campgrounds don't have parking spots with electric, or parking at the campsite. The lady said she would check and call me back. In the meantime we decided to go to Lucky Clover Lakeside Resort because they had more options and accommodations for us camping in our vehicle. SO I didn't confirm the booking with Wild Oaks and they still charged me without confirmation, so that was fun :)

We have stayed here many times and love it! Very clean bathrooms & pool, nice campground with trees and we also like that they have cabins to stay in. A great cafe breakfast 👍 And a live band on Saturday nights with good food! We highly recommend Wild Oaks to stay at. The staff has always been good to deal with.

We decided to stay here because of my parents being older and couldnt handle sleeping on air mattresses. The toothless, heavy set, lady at the front was incredibly rude the whole entire stay. Definitely will not be staying here again...

Just spent all weekend camping at a neighboring camp ground. Went to wild oaks for breakfast and COFFEE all 3 days. Food was great and coffe was ready as soon as we were seated. Fair prices as well.
