My crew and I came here for lunch on a Thursday around noon. The first thing I noticed was they had outdoor seating, which would be awesome, at dinner time, with a date. Inside the restaurant was inviting, very cozy and warm. We were waited on immediately by Sam, who asked, "what were we drinking?" She was a very attentive, talkative and friendly waitress. I ordered sweet tea that was perfectly sweetened and cold on this warm fall afternoon. I ordered the special that was a Philly cheese steak with fries, that was perfect in size and taste. The other guys got the roast beef and dip, pot pie and nachos. After the food came there was no conversation, only a whole lot of chomping. Barb the owner came by our table to say hi and ask how everything was. Overall, it was one of the best experiences I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I would highly recommend going here often. Thanks Sam and Barb for a great meal.

We were out in the area finishing a job today and thought we would check out Labadie's antique shops and the distillery. It took us so long to get there that we were starving! We had cool dog Minnie with us so we had to find a patio where she could hang with us. Coal Fire was perfect! The day was somewhat cool still so we found the shade and ordered beers and lunch. My wife had the fried chicken dinner and I had the Stackhouse Burger. Minnie had some of my fries, pulled pork and burger. They were so good to Minnie - she could have ordered her own dinner, too, which is very nice. Excellent overall.Parking: Easy parking close by.

Me and my mom were stuck in a winter storm and the roads were really bad and they took us in. Very nice people, well decorated, good food, gave me paper and a pencil to draw while waiting to leave, gave me a phone charger and told us the safest way to leave. They were very VERY nice people and if I could I would give them a better rating. I would recommend going to this place.

We took a day drip from stl and stopped here for dinner. The staff was so amazing our server was friendly and let us know what was good on the menu. The drinks were very good. The restaurant has a nice vibe it’s very cute and homey. We got the burger and Philly. The fried corn nuggets were so good our server suggested chipotle ranch with them and she was not wrong! The sweet and spicy was a great balance.

Ordered a Manhattan. There was hardly any in the glass and no ice. I asked her if she knew how to make it and she stated she did not. It was $13 dollars and when the food came out it came out on paper plates. The kind of paper plates you have to put seven together so it doesn't collapse. Nothing was cheap so why skimp on the drink and the plates? Waitress was in sweat pants and was very confused. Not impressed. Went across the street and had a Manhattan and it was amazing and $10. They have real plates also :-)

This is our first visit and I always give a place two tries before I write them off. I ordered the special which was fish and fries, the fish was hot but it wasn't tender and flaky like I've had at different restaurants. It was kind of chewy so I'm thinking it wasn't cooked right. Also the tartar sauce had a weird taste to it and was served in prepared portion cups that had a little dried out ring around edge. My daughter had a side salad and wings and the server had warned her they had run out of smoked wings so they would just be fried. I guess the smoking must impart a lot of flavor because she said they weren't very good. Every place has an off day so I'll give it one more shot.

We stopped in the late afternoon for a quick bite. The place was empty, usually that speaks for itself. But the food was actually good. Aside from my chicken being a tad dry everything tasted great. You can tell they smoke their own meat, as the smell was prevalent throughout the establishment. Our waitress was very nice, and even though she'd never made a tom collins, it was very good and refreshing. Not too sour, and not too sweet.I gave them 4 out of 5 stars only because the chicken was a little dry. Other than that we were pleasantly pleased.Wasn't over priced, 2 of us ate and had 1 cocktail for under 40 bucks ( before tip ).All in all, if I'm back in the area I'm stopping back by. The French dip is calling!!.

Ate there today, had a group of 11. Never been there before. Food was great! I had the Labadie turkey wrap and sweet potato fries. Wrap had bacon on it as many wraps do but this bacon was in nice cut up pieces and crispy. Not rubbery strips like you get in other wraps. Our waitresses Kathy and Sammy were great. Checked on drinks several times, food all came out together. The burger with French onion soup was really enjoyed by everyone that ordered it and the cheesy tator tots and the corn bites were delicious. Didn’t know what to expect there but it exceeded our expectations. Go there!

Used to be a great place to eat but the beat waitress left and now you are lucky if they are open when you go to eat. Food is good when they are open but I am done driving there to fund them closed yet again!

Great place to eat here in our little town. They have their own unique smoked wings and other meats. The appetizers are amazing and have a good selection of drinks. If you are close it is worth the stop and time to visit.

Enjoyable experience. Got a burger and fries and it was really good. They have a kids menu and the waitress asked if my daughter (7 yrs old) wanted to color in a coloring book! Everyone was friendly.

This has been our Sunday lunch spot when we are in the mood to grab lunch out. Most every Sunday they have a fried chicken special, which is excellent, but I usually will get one of their signature meals such as the Pork Steak Pullman.

Loved this place. Varied menu, reasonably priced food, cheerful, casual inside, very nicely decorated. Had smoked roast beef sandwich, hubby had pulled pork sandwich, friends had ribs. All were delicious. Will be back!

Great little food joint, way more affordable than the Hawthorne Inn across the street. The owners are are polite people who greeted us warmly when we first met them. The only downsides are that the tables are narrow and crooked and that this restaurant took the place of the only gas station in town.

Stopped for a few drinks on St. Pat's day. Didn't know that I had to count them all. Pretty sure My wife couldn't drink 8 beers if she tried. But that's what they charged us for. Thought I had 3 , got charged for 4. Not cool !

Stopped in after plans fell through on a Saturday night. Got a table right away. Service was good. The waitress said everything was good. I am picky so I reserved my opinion. They have some of the best wings I have had. A little hot with a great smoke flavor. I had a little off everyone's plates. I will agree with the waitress. Everything I ate was good. We will be back. There are still things on the menu I want to try. It's always exciting to have another restaurant that gets you excited to go out to eat.
