As a Licensed Cosmetologist, which State is only open to, I find they have a great selection and the staff is helpful and accommodating. Also, they do have a Great Dane in the store now….. he is shy, the sweetest thing in the world, and only stays around you if you pet him and show him attention. I love seeing him when I visit this location! ❤️

I go into the store every 2 weeks and the prices are never the same. And the last time I was in the store the sales clerk great dane was in there and he hit me with his tail, and I had a bruise on my leg from him.I really could have made a lawsuit cause I did take pictures and I told the clerks and her friend at store that that hurt. I was trying to be kind but 2 days later when it was bothering me and I seen bruise. I was like I will not be back. After 20years of my business. I really hated to see Mike sell cause it has not been the same!!!!

I *ALWAYS * thoroughly enjoy visiting State Beauty Supply.The owners are actively involved with day to day operations.* Rarely * do I not see Kim in the storeI love that they advertise continuing education opportunities and promote products they believe in.Here's to many more years in business!

Can't say enough good things about this store! The staff is fantastic and Kim is seriously the best! She goes above and beyond for her local stylists! Store is always clean and easy to navigate through.

Most of the girls at this location are amazing. It's an unfortunate fact though that this particular location has a muted and slightly out-of-date nail product stock. With new product releases on a relatively constant basis that ARE NOT being promoted and stocked, I find I'm unable to present new product lines and features to my clients. I'm an in house shopper and I don't feel I should have to order products online when the location is down the street from my house. I understand there happens to be an immense amount of small items relating to nails, but I'm constantly disappointed by how few choices I'm given. The story of my entire career as a nail technician. I wish they weren't walking my business out the door. I've been forced to shop online. The one benefit to me is that I pay less online, but I'm always more interested in supporting my local businesses. I wish they felt the same about this local nail tech.

Bad customer service. Not friendly, not helpful. Made me feel like I was a inconvenience by asking questions.They do have a great supply of just about anything you could possibly want. Love the selection and its very clean. If you can get someone to help you.

TLDR; DONT GO TO ANY OTHER LOCATION, ERICA SAVED MY ENTIRE LIFE ON A SATURDAY AFTER CLOSING TIME!!!^^^^^^^So I've gotten pretty spoiled with the ability to expect a great experience in State Beauty supply, generally at all of their locations.Today is Saturday, and around noon I decided I NEEDED to color my hair before my family photos tomorrow. Obviously state closed at 1 and I didn't get out of my house until 12:45.I called the store panicking because I knew I'd be pulling up 5 Minutes after close. Of course the location closest to my home decided to lock up 5 minutes early....So I whole heartedly expected to be told I was out of luck.Y'all. Erica said she'd stay open for me to come get what i "needed".Then was patient as hell while I tried to grab a few more things I didn't need.I'll never go to another state beauty supply.

State beauty supply is the go-to spot before professional hair products at wholesale price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You must have a Missouri cosmetologist esthetician’s or nail tech’s license to shop here. Warning: it’s hard not to love this store. If you already have a shopping addiction, this store will only make it worse.

You have to have a Beauty Licence to be able to shop there but, if u know what u want....you can ask your stylist to call u n an order. That's IF she wants to give u a deal or not.....
