Sure they have plenty of items, but a lot of it is super overpriced. I had to explain to my partner that the prices just weren't worth it and we went to Aldi down the street. I refuse to pay 12 dollars for two thin chicken breasts that don't even fill up the package.Honestly, even Walmart and Hy-Vee are cheaper. Be smarter with your money, people.

The Barry Road location is a nice store, which carries the Roasterie coffee beans, and a few other items we use at home. The parking is better at this location

The meat department has some crazy sales pretty often. I’ll put it this way. I spend less on gas and groceries here than at the other gas saver option in town. Little less for gas doesn’t always make up for it. Fresh stuff too. Solid.

This is easily one of the better Price Choppers. It is nice and clean and seems to be one of the larger locations of the chain. Their produce us high quality for sure and not overpriced like most grocery stores. There is a Starbucks located inside. Also, there is a new St Luke's convenient care center inside as well. Which adds for yet another positive feature.

Not the most intelligent and/or polite staff. They tried to tell me I couldn't buy frozen seafood if the seafood department was closed. They are also not aware of current ads....and really don't care.

NOT DISABILITY FRIENDLY I shop here all the time literally a couple times a week. And I've been able-bodied for most the time been shopping here. But 6 months ago I ended up with a spinal injury and I'm in a wheelchair. And the workers have been nothing but terrible and unaccommodating ever since.I just want to be left alone to shop in peace. That's all I'm asking for. I'm in a lot of pain I don't want to talk to a cashier and be forced to socialize. I just want to be left alone to collect my groceries in my little wheelchair cart and leave. But ever since they moved it to like 20 items or less in the self checkout every time I have 20 to 25 items I'm harassed and them telling me to use the cashier. I've already spoken to the manager and she was really nice and said yeah it's fine I can continue to use those because of my injury so I continue to use them. But the majority of workers have been so hateful and aggressive about it. Like it's just the self checkout why don't you go harass someone who isn't in a wheelchair. This is literally happened at least five times.I'm working on getting a disability placard now. So I've been parking in the grocery pickup spots until then because legally speaking I cannot park in a disabled parking lot. And some older man who saw me drive all the way out there in my wheelchair walked up to me and started telling me oh you can't park here blah blah blah. First of all this doesn't even exist anymore. Nothing exists, not even through instacart, where groceries will be brought out to your car or where your groceries will be bagged for you and you can run in and grab them really quick. Does not exist.And secondly I told him you saw me in a wheelchair don't you think that's probably why I parked here? And he's like well yeah but use the disabled parking spots. And I'm like legally I cannot use those spots until my placard comes in. Legally this grocery pickup sign means nothing. I just want to be left the f alone. I understand them doing their jobs but it's like there isn't a single brain cell in any worker there. I have a clear disability. Also What if I had an invisible disability? How are they treating those people? I don't know man every single time they've been really mean and aggressive about it. Oh except for the cute I think she's Vietnamese lady who does the self-check out sometimes in the evenings. She's always been super polite and nice, the manager is really nice as well when she gave me permission to use the self-checkout. Everyone else who works here and needs to get some common sense and get a life because there's no way Price choppers paying you enough to harass disabled people.

Every time I come to this Price Chopper, they always have fresh bread in the bakery. Still warm in the package, wonderful, amazing fresh bread. When I come home with bread, my hubby always says, "You must have been to Price Chopper."

Have a register ready when you open. Standing at the front for 10 minutes with no one saying anything to me is weird. Set my item down and walked out. I wanna give you money, take my money.

Price Chopper is one of my favorite grocery stores in the area. The store is always clean and well-organized, which makes shopping easy and pleasant. The staff is friendly and helpful, and they always greet me with a smile. They have a great selection of products, especially in the bakery, deli and floral departments. They also have a pharmacy service that is convenient and reliable. The only drawback is that the prices are a bit high compared to other grocery stores, but I think it's worth it for the quality and service. Price Chopper is a nice store overall and a good place to visit for all your grocery needs.

Edit: march2024 While I had been scanning and bagging some of my items I was removed from the empty self checkout and made to check out at a regular cashier because I had too many items. I then still had to bag my own groceries to make sure it was done properly which took more time than if I had just rang myself up. If I wanted to interact with humans I wouldn’t have gone early in the morning. Again, the self check out was virtually empty. I won’t be back. Hyvee is much better and the prices here are so insane and the produce is always trash. If there is no one around, don’t bother people minding their own business.Just this one month alone I’ve purchased (probably more) four different expired items. I also purchased a bag of frozen fruit that was freezer burned upon me getting home and trying to make a smoothie.One was two years old this October. Check your items. Cold and dry.

I used to visit this store at least 3-4 times a week..no more will I support this store .Your prices are higher than anyone. Your produce is through the roof..and it's not good quality..what do you triple inspect it for exactly..I look at it once and it's subpar...oscar meyer hot dogs for $7.79? the same package at Walmart is $3.97 ..that's not price gouging..supply chain issues are over..what's your excuse?

I shop here alot. However today I had an issue when trying to withdraw money from the atm in the front of the store. The atm withdrew money from my account but nothing came out and the atm displayed a error. I looked all over the atm, there is no bank name or phone number whatsoever. I went up to a “manager“ named stacy, she was too busy bagging groceries to care at all. she said we don’t own that, you gotta call the bank and then went on to ignore me. luckily for me the nice lady behind customer service desk was willing to try and help. She gave me a phone number that doesn’t work. But at least she tried. Stacy gets a big fat thumbs down. I’ll just drive the Extra mile and go to hyvee from now on

I absolutely LOVE the bakery dept @ this specific location. They have been doing cakes for our family a very long time! The past couple years have been extremely memorable do to how much work was put into both of my daughters bday cakes. I finally asked the name of the gal that made that possible and I believe her name is Trish & she's the manager there. Her work is above average & deserves a 5 star rating & Google review recognition. Thank you Trish & all the bakery staff! Your work is amazing!! Unforgettable memories you've all helped create & for that we are forever grateful!! Xoxo

The old man who works at this pharmacy is rude and has no business working with the public. I don't know what his problem is, but every day seems to be a bad day for him. Time to retire I think. I think it affects the rest of the pharmacy staff - they are not as friendly as other pharmacies. As for the store, don't even get me started about the rudeness of the staff. Honestly, the prices here are much higher than Walmart and Aldi, so they are lucky people even shop here, but the attitude they have is just unacceptable. They rarely have anyone to help bag the items, so expect to do that part yourself. Maybe if they paid their employees a living wage they could keep them.

Nice clean store with friendly staff. I'd like to see more organic selection especially in the fruit and vegetable areas. Great selection of desserts, meats (steaks, chicken, pork, etc.), and premade items. Also like the fact that they sell bread products from a local KC company.

I went to this Price Chopper at 500 NE Barry Rd for the first time today, I must say in all my years of grocery shopping I've never had such a GREAT EXPERIENCE!! Every employee in this store had a smile, and offered assistance as soon as I wheeled in. Yup.. in a wheelchair, I went to Customer Svs desk & asked Phylis if she might be able to keep my chair there so I could use their electric carts. Of course, was her reply. Then she asked a young man who was bagging groceries at the checkout if he'd bring me a cart. They both were so pleasant & from there on throughout the store any employee I asked a question could not have been more helpful. Even the other customers were as kind & seeing so many people with smiling faces was fantastic! There are several major chains for groceries & etc near-by, but I suggest everyone skip some other super markets and shop this Price Chopper!

Had an extremely rude Deli worker get upset because I attempted to get a salad bar 10 minutes before the salad bar is set to close who was exceptionally rude and acted like it absolutely ruined her day that I requested that she put one container of cheese back out so that I can have cheese on a salad.

The most racist and rude workers that I have experienced at any PC in the metro area. I reported a worker speaking out loud to another coworker about black people. Her coworker was extremely uncomfortable and tried to divert the conversation and she jus kept right on going. I reported this to a female manager and it’s obvious she did nothing about this because the same employee is still walking around that store just as rude and just as racist! All it takes is one person but this store has multiple it’s ridiculous! I will never step foot in that store again!

The store pick up is the worst I’ve used. Not only do they charge $1.99 for pick up you have to wait too long for them to come outside. Very few parking spots and the last time I went there they didn’t have anyone to bring me my stuff. Went inside and their manager was clueless and very unprofessional. Had to cancel my order and go to Hy-Vee for an order. Hy-Vee has got it together with their pickup unlike this place. Don’t think I’ll ever try price choppers pick up again.

I like this Price Chopper if I'm doing self checkout. I'd give a better review if the people who bag the groceries could do it correctly without smashing fragile items. My last trip had a single tomato bagged with two 2 liters of soda. I feel really picky about this complaint but it just seems like common sense.
