I cannot aptly express the caring and professionalism I experienced at this Petland! I brought home a new puppy, who my vet confirmed today is perfect in every way. Cosette went over and above to assist us from beginning to end and the items and services which come home with you and provide everything you could possibly need to start off on the right paw. These hardworking folks all appear to genuinely care about the animals and customers and while losing a long time has been painful, our new baby and friends at Petland have made this a wonderful Holiday Season!!

I want to tell how much of a great experience I had because of Lexx. She was extremely helpful, professional,and educated me on some many things I didn’t know. We went to check out some puppies and the Manager at the store named Alexis is so friendly and helpful. We spent some time with a miniature schnauzer and probably took close to an hour before we decided to get the puppy. Everything is done professionally and I was very impressed with all the service they provided that day.

Do not buy from these people. Told us our dog could be AKC registered, sent paperwork home with us, can’t be registered with them 🤷‍♀️manager wouldn’t help me. Had to be registered with Pet registry, manager was Jennifer, wouldn’t return my calls, was always conveniently gone or on another another line.

Don't believe them. They are one of the largest buyers of inbred puppy mill dogs. They should be shut down. Unfortunately I did not have prior knowledge of this before I got my husky bandit back in the day. She had all sorts of congenital defects and had severe seizures.

My daughter found Po, this furry little teddy bear online at Petland. We were greeted by Cossette upon arrival. She pleasantly assisted us through the whole process. I had trouble locating my PL card to pay for the puppy. We had to call customer service to verify my account. Cossette handled the calls professionally and efficiently completed the transaction. She went out of her way to help pick all the items that came with the puppy package. Cossette made sure I understood all the details and answered all questions I had. She definitely represented Petland well. Cossette should be a manager! My daughter loves Po!

I bought puppy from there was told it AKC registered. Then when I contacted AKC was told it wasn’t registered dog and paperwork was fake. Tried contacting the store several times and in two years have received no call back. There’s some explaining someone needs to be doing. Why did I pay over $1000 for none registered dog??? PETLAND is scam. All their dogs are from puppy mills

Went in the other day and left heartbroken. All of those babies were crying and panting, peeing in their cages. No fresh air, they all had water from a bottle hung on their kennels. Do those poor babies live their entire lives in these places until they’re dumped at a shelter for not being sold for $5k? How are these places still legal?! :(

The manager Brooke helped with our main lady Kelsey today. They were super understanding and extremely helpful. First time ever getting a puppy here and we left with our forever friend! We actually left the Lee summit location from being treated poorly and had 100% better experience here and changed my view on Petland! These 2 ladies went above and beyond. Kelsey being new was very honest on what she was learning on, what she knew and not knew 100% and gave us the best experience with switching out so many puppies and making sure we got 100% what we needed. I will definitely be back and definitely recommend this location to all my friends.

A great place if you are looking to buy a dog but not sure what you want. We found some treats for our dog that she doesn't normally get. She really enjoyed the rolled cod skin.

Can someone help me understand there puppy package. My wife went home and added it all up together and came up with $700 in stuff when it’s advertised $3400.. unless the warranty cost more than the actual dog I fully don’t understand. The mark up on these dogs doesn’t make any sense…Just to be clear, you can get a dog off google (puppy finder or something) for $2000 cheaper..They put a super inflated value on basic puppy stuff, pretending getting the micro chip for a puppy is a $1000 process is dishonest. I promise you that you can find a dog from a local breeder, pay for the first year of shots, micro chips, everything for less than half (probably more).Sad thing is I think if they lowered the prices they would get more business, but I guess someone is paying these prices so who knows..

My family and I played and purchased a sweetheart of a puppy! French bulldog named Wonton! He has been such a good puppy and a great addition to our family ever since our English Bulldog of 10 years had to be put down! Petland has been great to us, and Elvis and staff at the North KC location were fantastic to work with and helping us bring our little boy home! He's been through 1 vet visit and he checked out completely healthy!

We had an amazing experience working with Elvis! He was kind informative and patient. He stayed after hours to help us get the girl we found. The staff really went out of their way. We went in looking for guinea pig supplies and left with our Ruby. Everything happens for a reason.

I went into this store to buy toys for my new (adopted) cat. I cannot believe that there are pet stores still selling puppies in this day and age. I had to ask if they were up for adoption because i just couldn't believe it. Reading through the reviews about sick dogs, I notice that the establishment only responds to positive reviews and not to negative. This indicates an uncaring, untrustworthy attitude. Don't shop, adopt!

I’m going to be honest. Staff was wonderful I love playing with the puppies. I bought a puppy from this location and it passed away from parvo the same day. He had not received his parvo vaccination even though he should have gotten one prior to me adopting. The only positive note to this is that they did keep him over night to monitor him but it’s heartbreaking to get a call saying your puppy passed away

Josie was so helpful letting me know all the characteristics of the hamsters, rabbits and guinea pigs. I was able to hold and interact with all the animals there. ( And yes there are puppies to hold.) I was very excited to see what their selection was on dog collars. There were so many prints and patterns. I found the perfect collar and the most perfect treats for my dog. It is her birthday today and I got her a doggie treat in the shape of a snowman. I was amazed at the variety of fun loving treats for my pup. I just want to say thank you and appreciate all the kindness shown to me! Have a Happy Holiday!

I bought a puppy last Sunday and my daughter is very scared of it. I tried to return it the next day, even knowing I would get 1/2 of my money back, I was told no in the end. The manager and insurance went back and forth with me about who would make the decision, seemed to me I would have been able to return the puppy at 1/2 price but was denied. The manager told my wife that she never has taken a return and never will. The manager also stated there was not room to return it but after calling the store and talking to another manager, there was in fact room.This is false advertisement in my view because she knowingly will not take a return but still advertises that she will at "discretion" within 48 hours. I had to go out of town the next day so I had to place the puppy in dog boarding until I returned late yesterday. Come to find out that the puppy was not up to date on all shots and had to receive 2 more at my expense.Petland is a scam! Nothing but lies and dishonesty! My next step is to notify the BBB, write my congressman, and get the local news involved to help tell the story so hopefully this will not happen to anyone else.

I came in looking for durable dog toys for my puppy. Kat helped me find some that wouldn't be torn to shreds in seconds. She was so helpful and very invested in making sure I was getting the best dog toys I could. Couldn't have asked for better customer service from her.

I was in Dog Heaven, so to speak. This place was full of puppies and kittens. All well cared for furbabies looking for homes. 🐩🐕‍ 🐱🐈‍⬛🐈Upon adopting any furbaby from this place Petland has a go home with kit for you to help care for your newest member. This includes, The training crate, supplements, food, 5 toys (you can have your baby pick these), a water bottle for the crate, bowls & a bowl mat, leash or harness & collar, shampoo, a food container, and more.Dang I realize I sound like an ad but I've never been to a place like this before. I thought these type of shops were wiped out in the 90'sThe best part of the whole place was getting to sit in a cubicle to play with all of the babies. All the wiggling, kisses, and joy of just loving up to furbabies. It was wonderful! Now that being said, this softy isn't going back in any time soon, least I adopt the whole store.

Although I haven’t yet purchased a new pet from Petland, I visit frequently to get my puppy fix and buy my dog food. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I’m consistently impressed with how much knowledge and care they have these animals. The best place in the northland for pet supplies & puppies.

This place sold us a sick dog!!!!! Do not purchase from here. They charged us 3500 for a sick puppy. Obviously they don’t do check ups on the puppies regularly. Now I have vet fees after vet fees. I’m only selecting 1 star because I can’t give them O.

Petland is awesome! Kennels are clean and there are so many varieties of treats and toys for my pup to try! I can even bring my pup in to get her nails trimmed! The puppies are all so cute! I’ve never seen some of these breeds before. So cool!

The technology is archaic and slow. The staff is unintelligent. They still complete credit card transactions by fax which is super sad while they charge top dollar for dogs that come from a puppy mill. That’s how they make money any retail transactions like the purchase of a harness or dog toy they could care less and the turnover of employees is always noticeable.We visited three times in the past month and there’s a different group of employees every time. That says a lot about Petland!

Just went there and was disappointed in the selection. This is really a place for dog afficionados - which is fine - I just have a cat whom I dearly love. Not much for cats and no fish stuf, which I am thinking of adding. Dog owners - this is for you. Nice staff. Nice and clean - just don't have what I need.

Listen staff they aren’t the friendliest im being honest. I went in there with a friend the other day and I already had the knowledge on petland being bad and a place that buys from backyard breeders but my friend went ahead and bought a husky. Man the price is ridiculous, not only that she is sick already, He’s only had her for 3 days and listened to the previous procedures they had put the pup in before. It’s ridiculous. A rip off. And filled with teenagers that know absolutely nothing about taking care of puppies!

Red headed lady told me serious inquiries only well she told my fiance that and we had our three year old with us . We gave her no indication that we weren't potential buyers so there is no reason why she should of denied us. No stars if possible rude think it was race related .

Bought a corgi that had only been there 2 days. It already has giardia like many have claimed in the reviews. Unacceptable considering the $3,000 price tag for a puppy. We have to pay all upfront costs and Petland supposedly is going to reimburse later. My 2 year old corgi also caught it from the new puppy. Thanks. Skip this service and just find another way to acquire a pet. No reason to pay premium price to a company that can’t even keep its own puppies clean and healthy.
