This is a small family owned feed and small engine repair store. I've bought all my critter food here for many years. I also only took my lawn mower here, when I had one and it needed repairs. They are good, friendly and fair folks. I recommend if you haven't checked in here for your bulk bird (wild and caged) , dog, squirrel, hamster, pig or rat food, I highly recommend stopping in. It may surprise you how much $ you can save.

This company knows it’s product! They serviced my snowblower and had it ready the same day! Very reasonable on pricing as well. Would definitely recommend if anyone needs service or repairs on lawnmowers and/or snowblowers. For a small fee, depending on where you are located, there is a young nice man that will pick up the item and then deliver it back to you. Worth it for us to use Nate for pick up and delivery. Super nice, honest, and reliable people.Thanks for the great service!! And thank you Nate- you are amazing!

Go to place for all my lawn equipment maintenance. They sharpen mower blades and saw chains for pick up next day. Have minor parts in stock for repairs, or can order most parts quickly!Employees are very helpful and patient. Much appreciated because I'm a novice with repairs and upkeep of yard equipment.My favorite part about this business isI witnessed employees going above and beyond to assist customers in some way. If it wasn't for northland feed, I'd still be working in my chain saw .... thanks for the help and expertise!!!!!

I originally had wonderful luck with them until I took my generator in for a tune up.. called multiple times for an update. They would tell me they would call me back. Never called me back.. at one time they told me the engine was bad.. again never called me back.. horrible communication skills, horrible customer service.. that was 5 years ago. Who knows where my generator is.. but I’ll never walk through those doors again.. just horrible..

Absolutely love this place. It's become the only place I'll purchase dog food/treats from. I had been looking for chicken free items for my Australian shepherd who has a chicken allergy. Went in and was helped by a very kind gentleman. He showed us multiple chicken free items. Our dog is a very healthy happy dog now.

I dropped off my equipment on Monday Oct. 24 2022 and I was told that it would be two weeks before they were able to look at it. I had no issue with that, this is typical for a small engine shop. On the start of the fourth week I called for a progress report. I was told they hadn’t got to my equipment because they were working on snowblowers. I called in December and I was told a hose was the issue. So, I called back the next week and was told the hose wasn’t the issue it was the pump. (This is now the week of Christmas) I was told the pump was on order and it would take twenty days to receive. Fast forward more calls and I finally received my equipment back on Thursday Feb. 23 2023. They had my equipment for 4 months!Their communication skills as a professional company were honestly terrible. Don’t lead people on, just shoot straight with the customer. I hope you reading this don’t have the same experience as I did.

Took a power washer there 6 weeks ago. They tell me they can't warranty it because the recoil was previously broke. Unit is 6 months old and broke the 3rd time I used it. No explanation was given to me except we can't warranty it.

Wow. It's great to see an old school, "small town" shop, right in Kansas City. This isn't like a big box store at all; the lady that helped me knew EVERYTHING, was EAGER to help, and they really seem to stand behind their sales (I got a FIVE YEAR warranty free with my trimmer). I couldn't have been happier, and even paid less for my weed eater than I saw @ Menard's, right before I came. I was ecstatic, even when I had to buy the trimmer instead of being able to fix my old one because they had to order the spring I needed to fix it. It was certainly the only location of the four places I went to that was able to offer the part, and just that possibility made me love the Shoppe even more. Incredibly nice and knowledgeable people, incredible selection of products for such a small place, and exactly what I had spent the entire day (and my 15 years in KC) searching for. I have found MY new location for outdoor tools and parts. Go check them out, and you'll likely find exactly what you were looking for as well.

Quick and excellent service. I have been searching for a Shindaiwa trimmer for a while. Northland is one of the few dealers in the area and had a fresh shipment. The team was friendly and very helpful. They registered my product, set me up with the proper accessories and priced the trimmer right at market price. I will be returning to them for my service and yard needs.

Had to bring mower back to this place after only 3 months after they claimed to have already “fixed” it. I was told it was my fault because I put the wrong gas in… the same gas that the mower cap clearly states to use. Had to pay for the same thing twice, I could have just bought a brand new mower with the money wasted.

I went to Northland Feed with my small "hand truck" dolly because I couldn't get the wheels off to replace them. I had bought some junk wheels at HF. The guy said I'd be better off just putting tubes in the existing tires. They couldn't get the wheels off... but they didn't need to! All they had to do was pull the outer part of the tire off the wheel, put the tube in & put the tire back on the wheel (x's 2). For this I was charged $60!!! (Because they had to work on it while it was still on the dolly!) I could have purchased a brand new dolly for that! I WILL NEVER GO BACK & THOUGHT YOU SHOULD KNOW!!!

Management seemed more on the grumpy side and I didn't really have anybody asking me if I need to find anything or if they could even help for me insisting to help when your a new customer and an unfamiliar face is important. In my experience it also felt as though it was more of a small engine repair shop than it was a feed store.

These guys are great! Due to Covid out break in the store everyone was home sick except for one young man. He helped me w dog food. I stayed outdoors. Their service is awesome and prices reasonable for 25lbs of food. Hope you all get well soon.

I love that I can walk in to Northland fed and buy my dogs food without having to go into a big store loading it in my cart and then having to load it in my car. 40 pounds is a lot for me to wrangle but at Northland fed they will carry it to my car and I only have to unload at home. Not only that but the price is much better than a pet store and the kind of food I use isn't found just anywhere. I recommend anyone with pets to check them out.

I buy my dog food here and I love that you buy 10 bags of the large Taste of the Wild and you get one Free! My dogs also love their Buffalo bull horns to chew on and the price is spot on! The people who run this place are very kind and always helpful

Excellent service. My mower wasn't starting and they said that they were 4 weeks out on repairs due to the early Spring, but when I explained the problem, they took the 10-15 minutes to fix it. They told me they didn't feel right making me wait 4 weeks since it was an easy enough problem for them to fix right there. The guys were helpful in unloading and loading the mower in my car. Great customer service. I've since been back to have my blade sharpened. FYI - when you tilt your mower on its side, make sure the air filter side is up.

I've been visiting Northland for a couple of years and have always been very satisfied, especially with their mower maintenance and repair.I take my Snapper in every spring and fall, where the guys will sharpen the blades, clean out the fuel line and change the plug, all for a reasonable price. They stand behind their work, and are friendly and dependable, professional and easygoing.I would recommend them to anyone and everyone that has a mower in need of some good old TLC.
