We love this place! We started using grooming services today and really appreciated the care and detail Marlaina put into the service with two anxious pups. They look amazing and we can tell the service was delivered with a very gentle touch. We found our new grooming and vet care home!

I cannot say enough good things about the staff at NKC Animal Clinic. My dog has a chronic disease and we’ve become “frequent flyers” here. Dr. Koehn is one of the best veterinarians I’ve ever met. He listens, takes his time and is super compassionate about actually hearing me when it comes to my dog’s health and answers my 52,000 questions I have about things. Helga is amazing and is so sweet to my boy! Marlena gave him the best grooming I’ve seen on him in his almost 11 years of life and she understood my concerns about him being fragile and making sure he looked his best AND felt his best! As well as all of the vet techs that have taken care of him that have been so amazing and loved my dog like their own. I HIGHLY recommend NKC Animal Clinic, you are treated like family here.

Dr Cain (spelling?) is an exceptional veterinarian. He was wonderful with my cat. I felt that he genuinely cared about my cat and provided very useful recommendations to improve her health. Front desk staff was friendly and pleasant to interact with. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

We brought my young cat in about 1 year ago.. she was meowing like crazy and came up to us and showed lethargy we brought her here immediately (our closest option) We gave our intital thoughts on what it might be (garlic) from cooking green beans and left on a plate overnight - to the receptionist. They IMMEDIATELY instead it was marijuana. And I felt they disregarded are baby because of our looks.We were so worried about her. Have never been back since.

Just look at the photos. Would you be ok paying 145 dollars for this haircut? My mom is recovering from surgery so I had to take her dog to the groomers and I’m glad I did because look at this ‘work’ they did. Her dog was put under for this haircut because she’s old so if the dog was asleep how is the cut this bad? Unacceptable.

They love your animals as much as you do. They do great in emergency situations and really helped me understand when finding out my dog had cancer and would need surgery as well as updating us on his prognosis and being comforting to us. Also the cheapest vet bill possible. Highly recommend

Everyone at NKC Animal Clinic is friendly and professional. Dr. Fitzpatrick is absolutely amazing and saved our red bone coonhound after he swallowed a whole corncob from the trash that ended up stuck in his intestines. She was so caring and professional. Helga at the front is also so kind and always remembers and greets our two dogs when we come in.

I could never say enough kind things about this clinic. Staff is all super nice and empathetic. I was very anxious about my dog having teeth removed. They answered all of my questions (some multiple times) and made sure to give me a complete update when they called.They are always very patient with my other dog and try their best to keep him comfortable during their interactions. They take all precautions to ensure he (and their staff) have a safe visit.Dr. Fitzpatrick and her staff have shown time and time again, they really do care for their patients and would do anything to keep the animals in their care comfortable.

I found a kitten next to my work place, it was a rainy day and he was very weak, I was scared that he was not going to make it to the veterinarian. My friend brought it here, and they saved his life. I adopted the kitten, his name is James.I’m so grateful! Thank you for saving his life, now he has a home and he is happy.Very satisfied with the costumer service. Professional and friendly personnel. I scheduled my next appointment and got a reminder on my email, which is very useful.Thank you for your help!!! I will definitely recommend it to all my friends.

I had a bad first-impression experience here that was very disappointing. I had hopes of finding out about boarding for 10 days for our pet for an upcoming vacation, but the front desk person completely ignored me when I walked in. She was with someone for quite awhile, but never looked up. When she finally did, she helped another lady that just walked after me. A very nice tech noticed me waiting patiently, and was very pleasant, but said I would need to talk to the front desk about boarding. I waited a bit longer, but felt an unwelcome vibe and lack of front desk customer service and left. Thank goodness there are options elsewhere.

Nope! Visited this place twice. The second time the vet was very rude. She had the gall to talk over me rather than ask questions so we could work together to find a solution that didn't include hundreds of dollars for tests that were not necessary. Sell your business, go back to school, and learn about customer service. If you don't know when to listen and not disrespect your customers you won't be successful. Do not go here!I sent you an email from your website. No one responded. You deserve this.

I’ve been here multiple times and have only had one bad experience, the most recent one. I took my cat in for an ear cleaning, the lady at the front Rana or something similar, was very short, rude, and not personable at all, the time before last i had the same experience with her as well. The vet tech was very kind, but once i got home and looked at my cats ears it looked like nothing had been done. She still has the same ear wax sitting there as before she went in.All my other visits here for more so Doctor care have been great. Annie who was up front was also so nice & sweet on the phone and same in person at check in/out times. Dr.Wolfe was awesome in helping us get our cat better and giving recommendations on at home care and diets. I’ll still be using this as my cats primary vet unless i have any more bad experiences.Update - they did have me take her back and re did the cleaning on her ears!

If I could give this place -negative- stars I most defiantly would.The worst customer service ever experienced. Grumpy, rude, slamming things, complaining, blaming customers for their mistakes.The worst grooming service ever experienced.The worst vet service ever experienced.The owner was unprofessional in every possible way.Run away from this place as fast as possible.They do not treat humans with respect, God only knows how they treat our pets when nobody is looking.I live in NKC and love to support local. But NOT THIS PLACE!!!Please do not waste your money at this establishment.

I really wanted to like this place as location is convenient however they advertise daycare but do not provide daycare services. Staff lacks huge customer service skills, they are not understanding nor friendly and come off quite judgmental. When I brought my dogs in for a checkup visit they did not check their ears or teeth or anything. I do not recommend them.

I was able to get a same-day appointment for my cat, and Dr. Wolff (as well as the vet tech staff) were kind, gentle, and generous with their time. After just one visit, I asked them transfer both my cats' records from their previous vet. It's also great to have a vet so close to downtown.

I recently adopted a dog from KCPP. I originally took her to another vet and received some very concerning news regarding her health. I brought her to NKC Animal Clinic in hopes of getting another opinion. I withheld the original vet's diagnosis in hopes of obtaining a non-influenced opinion. NKC's opinion differed from the prior vet's. I then revealed the other vet's diagnosis to NKC's vet. The vet at NKC immediately became defensive and standoffish. She refused to review the supplied paperwork from the other vet. I apologized if she felt blindsided or caught off guard in any way, that was not my intention. Assured her I was only attempting to obtain a non-biased opinion. I found her reaction incredibly odd and unprofessional. Figured she would have at least given it a second look. I wish it didn't go the way it did.-In Response to Owner-I supplied the same material to the previous vet as I did to NKC. This was done in order to see if both vets came to the same conclusion. Kind of like a blind trial.--Blinding--"Why blinding is necessary. Blinding of one or more parties is done to prevent observer bias. This refers to the fact that most (if not all) researchers will have some expectations regarding the effectiveness of an intervention. Blinding of observers provides a strategy to minimize this form of bias."The IDEA was to WITHHOLD all obtained information from the previous vet. However, after presenting the previous vet's diagnosis, she refused to look over the documentation. The refusal to acknowledge the presented documentation and the overall hostility that arose from this interaction, is the reason for the rating. It was apparent she was very upset or annoyed. I did not expect the initial withholding of information to pose such an issue.I did refuse follow on testing, wasn't super confident in all what that would accomplish after this exchange.You also vaccinated this dog without reviewing the COMPLETE history after being presented it. Which I think is another issue in and of itself. Kind of kicking myself for not catching that and allowing it to happen.I've talked this incident over with others, the consensus seems that it was a pretty reasonable ask. Others found the defensiveness and irritation as odd/concerning as well.Again, this was not an attempt at a "gotcha" and I'm pretty sure that's how this vet took it.*To Clarify*The vet WAS informed of issues relating to symptomatic conditions (I.E. coughing/lethargy) during the exam. None of which were addressed as likely symptoms of allergies. While the receptionist may have not been informed of prior symptoms, the vet certainly was.

I couldn’t be happier with NKC Animal Clinic and Daycare! I’ve had both my dogs boarded there and they always come back with their tails wagging. This place is a one stop shop for boarding, daycare, and veterinary services. Dr. Lillie Fitzpatrick is a fabulous vet!

Very pleased with this new veterinarian in NKC! Smaller office than my previous vet, not so noisy for the 🐈 who didn't want to be there anyway! Very efficient, in and out quickly but still answered all my questions.
