Always stocked . Great general store. Home goods, food ( some refrigerated) , cleaning, clothes and more. Store does need updates and there has been a few disturbances to the building. The community is working on that.

The young lady that was working on April 8, 2020 at the front register has horrible customer service I came in around 4:30pm-5:30pm I was actually surprised that I wasn’t greedy when I walked in the door like normally however I was even more astonished The cashier didn’t even greet me upon check out nor did she even look me in the face she simply kept her headphones in the whole time and scan my items after that she said “is this it” I stated that it was she told me my total I gave her the money she handed me my change and didn’t say a word after that. After that I left and got in my car and attempted to call the store to speak with Manager however the phone just rang. Today I tried to reach out to the store manager again and I got The same result. I usually try to reach out to management first to make them aware of the situation before ever trying to contact corporate or leaving a review. I enjoy shopping at Dollar General and I usually don’t experience these situations hopefully this message gets in the right hands and can be addressed and I can have a better customer experience at the end of the day Dollar General all we want is a little bit of customer appreciation because we definitely appreciate you guys for being there.

This store is under new management that is looking to turn around the process of things. There are a number of areas that have an opportunity for improvement. The new management team has a big task ahead of them! The newer employees have a professional attitudes and seem right for the task at hand. Best of luck to you all!!

Store seems to be understaffed, many items just laying on the floor. Not a lot of products, everything was just so unorganized . Also after dark they lock you in the store and you have to wait for them to let you out. If a place is that dangerous or unsafe then maybe it needs to be shut down.

The store could use a revamped look a little upgrade in appearance. The stores on the North side of Kansas City look better organized and product placement is better. I'm unsure of the ownership situation but someone should really take the time to regenerate the image

Dollar General is one of my favorite stores. They are always running great weekly ads. On top of the ads they have a great digital coupon handy to save their customers the most money. I have never come across a rude employee and I love to visit different locations to see the various varieties of product.

The moment I walked in the lady at the register said we are only excepting cards. Talk about a joke. Lol then Meanwhile one of the lazy a** employees is basically guarding the door. Talk about “Social Distancing” That man wasn’t about to stop nothing. just getting paid to stand around. Lazy folks get a real job.

Really loud anti-shoplifting recorded messages and very narrow aisles. Prices are good, plenty of items stocked, staff is reasonably efficient and friendly and helpful. It's just hard to navigate and painfully loud.

I would avoid this location if you could! The short haired African American lady is very rude and unprofessional! She doesn't greet you when you come in, she just looks at you, rolls her eyes and turns her head while she continues to listen to the music blasting from her phone. She never asked if I needed help finding anything when she seen me walking down different aisles trying to find items I was looking for, she just stared at me as if I was going to steal. And when I finally asked her a question about the 2 items I was looking for she looked at me crazy, like I was stupid, rolled her eyes and answered very rudely with an attitude. When I was ready to check out she rudely told me to go to the other register because that's the one she was working on. After being checked out she didn't say thank you for coming in, have a nice day or none of that, she just handed me my change and went on. And yes through it all I was still polite and showed her nothing but respect because It's pretty sad that some of us black women just walk around angry like it's cute and we can't even be nice and respectful to one another, definately when you're past 40 years old! Smh! This store will never recieve anymore business from me because no one should be treated that way. Never Again!

I have never liked the way out of the store. However it maintains good customer service at times. The store does need to be lit up more outside at night for safety.

Worst store in the entire neighborhood. Waited 40 minutes in line because the refused to open another line, but I still waited patiently. Im over 50 years old mostly bald. But they still refused to sell me cigarettes without an ID. Was there with my 23 year old daughter and 13 year old son and my wife of 30 years. I was refused service. I will not be going back "EVER". Not to mention how dirty their store is. I feel like I was treated this way because of my race. If you wanna be like Trump and be a racist this is the store for you. Y'all can have it. Im out.

People walking around that shouldn't. This store has been robbed several times. You can't get cash back because of this which is ridiculous and inconvenience...The Dollar General should really step up thier game for the people and their employees. Only one not nice is the light skin lady with the burn she isn't Pleasant.

I purchase a already opened and consumed container of Pringles. Took them back and they didn't really say anything about it. The staff leave you at the register while they visit with cars outside. Then can't even keep the register right. Heard a staff tell the oncoming staff that she couldn't guarantee the register was even and right. Terrible management and staff.

I love this Dollar General I believe it is better than the other Dollar generals in the area they always have stuff stock when it comes in I don't have to look around for things or ask if they have any because if they have it it is stocked right away the store manager is very friendly. Kudos

Man... This place is crazy raggedy. It really makes you not want to buy a DAMN thing edible bc the floor, shelves, walls, coolers, everything is unsanitary. Don't the health department go in stores that sell food? And I hate to say they need to hire an armed gaurd but someone gotta help them from being robbed. How many times they gotta fix the glass to that janky door? Oh, and don't come after 7:00pm - "CREDIT/DEBIT CARD ONLY " ...

They had Christmas paper, table cloths and kitchen towels, but the store shelves were bare of a lot of things. The cashier were just leaning and it was dirty.

Not so long ago, a great number of neighborhoods in the metro had become food wastelands. Offering limited options for healthy food options... Or any at all. Dollar Generals have began popping up all over the inner city. Now.... Idk that these stores are offering exactly the highest quality of food or products per say. I do know that an option is far better than none... Or for those that do not habe viable transportation, limitednto on foot or the bus a great option over an hour or more bus ride at best, both ways, to find over priced & understocked options. Consistency is key andnevery store is set up about the same. Allowing easy access to more... Which in this case... Is just that. MORE!

It's a convenience. It is closer than other stores and probably, in many cases, cheaper than other stores. It doesn't stock everything that other stores carry, but it's footprint is smaller also.

Good, OR at least "fair/reasonable" prices-BUT not nearly as good as other some of the other area & smaller suburban locations -that tend to NOT be too much better...more employees that are very impatient with customers & slow to help-IF at all, its with an at least moderately negative attitude...seem to dislike their job, AND "it shows"!
