Use this store for "emergency" goods. It's always a total mess, the prices aren't much better than other stores, and EVERY time I've bought soda, whether a 2 liter or 6 pack, it's flat.Majority of employees are nice and helpful, however I rarely see the same person.

They don’t honor their online prices when it comes to pickup orders. If they personally don’t like the deal you got online, even if you check substitutions allowed, and there are substitutions available in store- they’ll just outright cancel your order instead of doing their jobs. I contacted corporate since this happened multiple times.

I come in here far more often than I should, the staff has always been super friendly and accommodating.The products fluctuate by season but they usually always have my dogs favorite sardine food topper as well as my spam and beanieweanies.Thanks Guys!

I spent a lot of time at Dollar general. They have things that I need readily available, and even though it's a small store and they don't have massive amounts of room for merchandise, would they selected is often exactly what I need. Or simply what I need I have found there. Either way. But for me the help is always friendly, they may be a bit slow on restocking though, there's some quite a few empty spots on the shelves.

The store is a little messy and shelves are usually picked through…However, the cashier Jimmy is the best! He is always friendly, professional and informative. I will continue to shop there based on the customer service alone :)

If you are trying to get the coupon deals don't bother ordering online they will cancel your order and say they didn't or tell you they didn't receive your order, it's best to go yourself and shop and put your phone number in to get the deals.

Jen checked me out at the register and she went above and beyond what is expected. She assisted me with coupons and clearance items. I also really appreciate the greeting they always give when you enter the store.

January 28th Friday 11 a.m. I took a visit to Dollar General North Kansas City Missouri on Armour Road this is not the store that I usually shop at all but it was the closest and I was in a hurry so while visiting the store I was looking at all the prices on items that I usually purchase most of the items in that store are higher than Walmart while looking around I was followed around in the store by the employee which is normal cuz I'm an older black woman and they assumed all of us Steel during my check out the staff member who was dress unprofessionally I'm assuming team spirit day she had on red and white a whole bunch of Dollar Tree chains dollar signs Etc this woman was very rude and disrespectful she threw my items that I purchased in the bag really hard and then she try to snatch up my money and she stated her name was Moe wowBut while waiting in line she explains to me that I can move on up and she call me darling that's a harassment to me I prefer the 6ft distance method way before the COVID-19...... people that shop there be aware they will follow you through the store and then they might disrespect youI would never recommend this store

Very friendly and helpful employees!The staff deserves 5 stars!!! The 2 stars is because whoever owns this store should probably allow the manager to hire more people. It's almost like the employees have live there. Because it's always the same Very, very, very few that are working... seven days a week!!! Slavery seems to still be alive in America at the North Kansas City Dollar General.

Nice normal dollar general... Good deals..best place to buy hygiene products and snacks. Also has a lot of everyday items like motor oil, light bulbs, pillows, and other random stuff. I use DG for most my purchases for things like that. Good prices on make up and nail polish.

I now have a duplicate charge on my card for the exact same amount.. the store manager told me that when she voided my transaction that the money would go back into my card within a few days and it never did. Then when I called up to the store to ask could the refund me the additional amount that was charged, I was told that I needed to call corporate. I even went to another dollar general location after this, and it happened again.. if you are an EBT user, and ate going to shop with dollar general always do your transactions separate even if they tell you to put all of your things together because if you don't most likely you will end up with a duplicate charge.Also, I want to say that the store manager just sits there and talks about everyone who comes in there, she's a negative Nancy and gossips. I would never go back there unless it was my absolute last resort and even then I probably still won't go back. You can tell that the manager doesn't care for people of color by the comments that she made whole I was at the register. Being that I come from a mixed background I was pretty offended. I pray that you guys can hire ppl who actually want to be there and have a better attitude towards the people who are coming in there and spending their money!RUDE, RUDE, RUDE

Clerk verbally jumped me when I asked about cigs. I had to "prove" I wasn't buying for someone outside whom I did not see. Protested just got out of cab. He also basically dogged every move.Store was hard to navigate. Seemed messy. Didn't even finish shopping. Just wanted to get out of there.

This location is Ok. Store is a little small which makes the store feel cramped and junky. The staff are friendly and helpful one of the few locations where someone actually asked me if I needed any assistance locating an item. Parking is not great easy to pull in but when it's time to back out into major traffic you will have to wait for a little while until the street is clear.

So my rating has changed! When I first started going here the employees use to follow anyone and everyone around like they were stealing and even accuse you!But now that they have gotten new staff they are much better and I enjoy going here

Smelled awful because of cheap shoes. No outdoorwear or sports apparel for women and girls. Staff were helpful but didn't seem to enjoy their jobs. On a positive note, there were some interesting, non mainstream magazines.

Good place to get a quick item. They have a great assortment of greeting cards for all occasions Wraping paper & gift bags. Laundry products, Bathroom needs, Food items, Drugs for the common cold or flu. Personal. Tooth care, Mouthwash ,Body items bath soap, deodorant and much much more

I hate to go into big box stores. I want to get out and in and pick out my own products. Dollar general is like a Mom and pop store. It has what I need but not too many choices. I like get dollar general brand of my allergy medicine, guaifenesin, and the Rexall or Spring Valley vitamins. I work in healthcare so I can run on when I'm feeling bad and get the things I need to keep my immune system healthy. They are good in a pinch for grocery items. The staff isn't very friendly but I'm sure they are not paid well. There has been friendlier staff in the past which is nice but I still get what I need. The store has served my needs well.

Whatever you need, they have it: cleaning supplies, food, magazines, clothes. It's like a mini big box store. Staff is very helpful with finding items. It's like Walmart without the crowds and endless aisles.

After I did find everything myself that I needed after being watched like I was gonna steal everything in sight, I go to pay and the lady tells me that she can't break a 100.00 bill! At almost 11am!! I was not happy!... Store crowded and cluttered barely could get dwn the isles.

Very good selection of item and a well stocked food section. This is one of the best of it's kind. I found very curteous service. They were willing to help me find what I needed despite the fact that the seemed quite busy. Impressive.

So after the experience I just have I really wish I could give no stars I totally get the customer base they get and some of the people are rude to them but I have never been to a store where the employees are really really nice or really really horribly rude and this place has it really really really rude and Have the attitude of I don't care whatever manager is on duty of the story this evening is worthless I'm sure the poor lady has to work her butt off and crazy hours and doesn't get paid enough but everyone is replaceable and the evening clerk that waited on me is what set me off I work in retail I am a customer service worker I have never told a customer I don't know I'm not going to ramble anymore bed if you want help or if you try to be nice don't go in there it will ruin the rest of your night

The lady was so nice and friendly but then as i walked out i heard her getting into trouble for talking to me. I came back in a bit later and she was very sad and when i asked what was wrong she just said she isnt allowed to talk to customers unless they need help. What kind of store is this. Lots of decent quality stuff for only a dollar. Wide selection, clean store, and friendly staff. There was a sale sign saying buy one get one 50% off that did not ring up as such, but I didn't notice it until I got home unfortunately...
