The staff were friendly and the prices were good. They trimmed my dogs nails and cleaned his ears well however, I didn't particularly like that my dogs hair was shaved all off (and his legs were nicked a bit). I did say I wanted a low cut but not as low as it was. Maybe it was a communication error. I did like how they styled his face. I will return once more and give a more detailed description of how I want his hair cut to get a good gage on how their styling skills are.

Fantastic dog grooming and boarding! Locally owned with care you won’t find elsewhere! Know your dog is safe and cared for 100%!Our dog is beautiful regardless of short or long, but doggiestyle always seems to make her look even better, clean and most importantly, our dog feels great and is super happy afterwards!! Love this place!

I had an excellent experience here. Everyone was very nice and excited to welcome Artoo and I to their Bowtique.The groomer was very quick and knowledgeable about how a dog should be groomed (sad that I have to even state this, but I've had some crazy experiences with different groomers throughout the years).The time estimate I was given was accurate and pricing was very reasonable. I was able to get an appointment within a week and appreciate a place offering services on the weekend. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience that I would recommend to anyone who loves to pamper their pups.It should be noted that the entrance to this shop is on Wesport Rd and not Bell St. GPS took me down Bell St, which is actually the entrance to their doggy daycare, not the pet salon.

I have nothing but glowing reviews for doggy style bowtique. I have a Puli, which is a unique breed that needs specialized grooming for his corded coat. I found Emma here and I’m so glad I did. I wouldn’t trust my dog with anyone else. She’s been working with him since he was a puppy and now at 2yrs old his coat is full, uniform and clean. And Emma makes sure he’s comfortable (cords pulled back out of his eyes, trimmed around his face, etc.) while still staying true to the breed standard. She and the owner are extremely communicative throughout the day. If something comes up that we didn’t discuss before hand, she always calls me to ask. She also takes extra time to show me what I can do at home to keep his coat in good shape.

Today I took my puppy to get her first haircut and I have to say that this is the first time I've seen her this beautiful. Excellent service, they answered my emails right away, they were already waiting for me at 8:00 a.m. the next day, the groomer came out to pick up my puppy and made her feel very comfortable so I left happy knowing that she was in good hands. I will surely return for her next haircut.

I started using this locally-owned business for grooming, but quickly realized that their daycare and boarding were a great fit for my rambunctious puppies. The owners and staff are committed to caring for each animal as their own, are easy to communicate with, and really listen to and respond to my concerns. I love having two happy, well groomed, and sleepy puppies coming home to me after a great stay. Best service for the price in the KC area!

This place is a godsend. Our dog is very active and comes home from daycare tired and happy. Have also used the boarding services and was worked in last minute when we had to leave town unexpectedly for a weekend. We have been so pleased with our dog's grooming-- which can be difficult to get right for doodles. We're thankful to have found this business and would recommend for anyone needing daycare, boarding or grooming services!

Never again!!!I made it perfectly clear that we wanted our dogs to look like fluffy bears with long hair. We groom them once a week for the sole purpose of routinely keeping the mats out of their hair. Gretchen understood clearly the look we wanted. She advised us that they needed a trim and to “trust her.” My husband even told the salon when he dropped them off to wait another week and to not trim them. When he arrived to pick them up, he nearly fell over. They had approximately 1/2 inch of hair left. She sent me a text I think to warn me stating that they were ready and that she had trimmed them down to one inch of hair and that she hoped my husband liked it. OMG!!!! Our dogs look like stray dogs. It will be six months before their beauty returns. I don’t know what to say other than this owner has some sort of issue I don’t understand. Best Place Ever!!! I am soooo picky when it comes to someone touching my Pomeranian's hair and I was nervous to try someone new but the first time but i was paying $90 for a haircut at Dazzle paws, so of course I called with a bunch of questions, Gretchen was so interested from the first second I could tell right away she knew her stuff. Then when I got there I showed them a picture of what I wanted and Amber, the groomer said she knew exactly who the actual Pomeranian I showed her was and she was soo excited, I was in a rush so it was about a 5 min brief talk about what was expected and when I picked him up after work I couldnt believe my eyes! Amber did EXACTLY what I wanted if not better! Yeezy doesnt even look real he looks like a lovable living teddy! Thank you Amber and Gretchen! I will never ever go anywhere else every again!! I attached a before and after so you can see how much time she really spent cutting all that hair!!

We booked an appt for our Siberian Husky (Storm) dropped him off at 8:45am got him back at 3:30pm and he looks PERFECT! He was so matted and definitely needed a good grooming. Thank you so much! I am so thankful google has led me to you guys! I am from PA and we have some friends in your area going through some tough times. My husband’s friend Preston Brayfield (we called him pup-since he was the baby of the crew) was killed in May while working, by a drunk driver in Arkansas. His family has been struggling since. I wanted to help the family out a little and loved seeing Pup’s moms posts, I especially loved reading about their family dog Rosie, and how she would snuggle up with Pup’s little brothers to help them cope with the nightmare they are living. It breaks my heart a family is going through this because of someone’s selfishness. Rosie has stepped up in a big way for this family and I wanted to treat her! We often don’t realize how our animals feel our pain. I went to google and first popped up was your bowtique! I emailed and Gretchen responded very quickly! I sent her pictures of Rosie and she helped me figure out how to get Rosie a day she earned. Mama Brayfield sent me a picture when she got home and my heart was just filled with joy seeing how happy Rosie was! Obviously it’s no true spa relaxing day without a nap! Thank you so much. This little pup has people counting on her to be there for them. Thank you again for taking care of her needs!

This review is solely about the owner. The employees have always been kind and professional to me. From my first interaction with the owner, she was impatient and unfriendly. My first time arriving at the facility she snapped at me because I didn’t know the front door was on a buzzer system. This should have been my first red flag but it seemed like a reputable place so I brushed it off.I boarded my dog for one night while I traveled out of town for a funeral. I’ve boarded my dog at other facilities numerous times, so I’m very familiar with what is typical for boarding facilities. I thought I had a good understanding of how things worked at this business because of that, but I was very wrong.My travel back into town took longer than expected. I was scheduled to pick my dog up at 5:00pm. When I realized I was going to be late I called right away. Once again, the owner was impatient and rude to me on the phone. She asked me how long I would be because she didn’t want to have to pay her employee to wait for me. I was very apologetic and told her I wasn’t sure but was driving as fast as I could and hoped to make it by 5:30. I couldn’t get there fast enough. She started sending me texts. I arrived a few minutes after 6:00. The owner text me that I could not have my dog until the next day. She sent me an updated invoice changing my fee from $43 to $111 saying I could not have my dog the next day until it was paid. She showed zero empathy for my situation.When you work in a service industry such as this, kindness and empathy go a long way. Unfortunately, that is not how I was treated here and I will never return.

They always take great care of my little pup. I feel completely comfortable leaving her here. The staff is super friendly, kind, and professional and they are expert groomers. The do a great job on her nails and even brush her teeth. A schnauzer cut isn’t the easiest, especially with a nervous dog, but she always returns looking like a million bucks- with a cute little holiday related bandana to top it all off.

Fantastic first experience! Finding a new groomer for your dog can be a nerve-wracking experience, especially when you’ve allowed way too much time to pass between haircuts. Gretchen, the owner, went the extra mile to help us feel more comfortable and prepared with what to expect. She and her entire staff were warm and welcoming and took such great care of our Layla. We knew she’d have to be cut shorter than we’d like, and even so, they did an amazing job - she still looked so cute!

while the staff was nice they were very pushy about us adopting the kitten and her mom. My husband and I said yes to taking both, only to find out that the kitten was extremely sick and costed us $150 in vet bills when Kitten division said “oh it’ll clear up in a couple of days” after the couple of days went by and the kitten got worse we took her in only for them to put her on a bunch of medications that resulted in our bill.

I’ve been going here with my dog for grooming for a few years now. The staff is so wonderful and make you feel right at home. They make it easy for me to feel comfortable in dropping off my dog because I know he’s around happy and loving people. Not to mention the quality of grooming is fantastic, especially for the price! I don’t know how they do it, but they make my stinky long hair wiener dog smell like a puppy again!

I’ve been looking for a new groomer for my schnauzer mix for several months now and I’m so happy I found this place! They took great care of my boy and did an excellent job. Very reasonably priced as well. We will be back!UPDATED REVIEW: After taking my dog to doggie daycare here I had to lower my rating. While the first few times were great, he would begin to cry as soon as we pulled up to the place. I should have taken that as a red flag. After his most recent visit, he came home with a bite wound on his ear which he did not have before dropping him off that morning. I was not alerted by staff that my dog had been hurt, which completely shattered my trust with the staff. We will not be back.

We followed the small dog groomer Emma here and we are still loving it. She always does a fantastic job with our miniature poodle, she is attentive and loves the dogs. I like how they call the day before the appointment to confirm, and how we can drop him off. It's convenient to have a "its first come first serve" appointment.

I’ve used this groomer a few times in a pinch when I couldn’t get into my normal groomer. My most recent experience was less than great. My dog was absolutely in need of a groom. I just moved and neglected her brushing and bathing like I normally do. I knew she was going to need to be cut shorter than I had wanted and when they explained that to me I said it was ok. I even asked for a recommendation for a better brush. They charged me an extra $50 when I showed up to pay for a mat fee. Total, I paid $165 not including a small tip I left for the groomer. I’ve NEVER paid that much to have my dog groomed even when she had mating. I’ve worked at a fancy boutique dog groomer before and none of the groomers I worked with ever charged that much for a mat fee, especially when they didn’t actually spend extra time on the mats. They shaved her down and had her ready 2 hours before the estimated time. I got out of there and immediately scheduled 3 future grooming appointments with my normal groomer so this won’t happen again. My partner and I will not be bringing our dogs back here.

I had a great first experience here today. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. I was about to get a parking ticket outside and they were very nice about me running out to plead with the cop and took my dog for me immediately. They were very non judge mental about my dog having some matting on the back of her neck as she is prone to it in that area. At other grooming places I have gotten the hint that they believe this means I don’t care for my dog properly. I didn’t feel that way at all here. I am not very particular with her cuts but it turned out really well. She also seemed very happy when I picked her up. I think some of the negative reviews maybe aren’t comfortable with the relaxed environment? But to me it’s a positive! (They also didn’t get mad at me for not understanding that you have to wait at the door to be buzzed in)

My pup is 17y/o and the staff is very kind to him. Emma does a wonderful job with him, he always looks so good after she finishes working on him. Can’t say enough good things about everyone who I come in contact with. Plus they always make sure that I have my appointments made so I make sure my pups hair is always spot on. My dogs look absolutely amazing and came back very happy. I have an Australian shepherd that is very difficult to groom and they were sure to speak with me before to know exactly what I wanted and wow did they ever deliver. Everyone there is very friendly and knowledgeable and it’s clear they love dogs. Don’t look anywhere else for grooming in KC. I can’t wait to try them for daycare and boarding.

I brought my two Newfoundland’s in to be groomed here. The individuales service was wonderful, the attention to my two boys was great. They were able to create special shampoo for my boys hot spots. They now smell wonderful, look fabulous, and feel fantastic. Within an hour people were commenting on how handsome they were with their hair cuts and how shiny and soft they were.
