Steve and Rusty do a great job of giving love and attention to all the dogs there. They work very hard to provide a place that is safe for your dog and yet keep their prices down. Talk with them and you will find two men with a passion for taking care of dogs. You can spend more but you will not get more canine love. I have had them watch my dog Rufus for over a year now and am very pleased with what they have done. I have attached a picture of Rufus in play there. Can't you see the smile?

Been working with the guys for a couple years. My pup has formed a bond with them. Always eager to hop in the car for a trip to Dogs World of Fun. Started using them when I worked downtown due to convenience. Still head their direction even though it's out of route for me these days. I don't think they've ever said 'no' to a request. Please trust them with your pets and your business. Thank you.

Employees communicate well. My fur babies weren't hesitant to go, and my dogs were happy to see me when I picked them up. Bowel movements were weird for a day or two, but other than that, great service.

I've brought my dogs here for over a decade. The facilities are clean. The owner and staff are professional and take care of each pup as if it was their own. I currently board every week with them while I work, my dog always comes home happy from a week of play time. They let you know how they did and who their best friends are.

I have been bringing my fur baby to Dog's World of Fun for almost a year now, and could not recommend them more for daycare & boarding. I was nervous about bringing my large rescue pup to a daycare environment just a few months after bringing her home, but she loved her first day at "school" and we've been back nearly every day since. Everyone is always friendly and really takes the time to get to know the dogs and each of their personalities -- they know my girl can be a little troublemaker but love her just like I do!

My pup LOVES spending time here. She always leaves happy and the gentlemen that run this place are compassionate and kind! I sadly moved too far away to bring her here regularly anymore, but she was going Monday-Friday and absolutely LOVED it!!!

Been coming here for close to 3 years now and I love it! ChaCha always comes home ridiculously happy! The staff is super friendly and you can tell that they actually care about each dog instead of just a paycheck rolling in.

Love this place! Steve took such great care of my beloved Tshitzu Liko for years. When Liko passed away, I received a very thoughtful, heartfelt condolence card.

Nasty place, owners live on-site, bleach poured on floors while dogs in kennels, owners own dogs not cared for well! BEWARE!!

I highly recommend this place. They are very friendly and accommodating! Sometimes the owner has his moments, but who doesn't. You have to take into consideration that he is caring for a large amount of dogs and grooming throughout the day. We have used this place for 3 years now and our dogs get overly excited to go here. They enjoy being around other dogs and playing all day. It is very affordable and our dogs love it! Thank you Dog's World of Fun!

Our dogs love the place. Every time we take them there, the arrive waging their tales and when we pick them up, they are tired after playing a lot during the day. We know they are well treated and are welltaken care when we travel. The prices are very affordable, we have been costumers for 7 years, the staff is very friendly.

weve been taking our two dogs here for about a year now several times a week and have only had good experiences. Great value and the staff really know dogs and their behavior. Extremely accommodating to our schedules. Really good with managing medications and play time. Really a great place

I have been taking my two large dogs here for about seven years. It has been wonderful for them. The owner and staff are very caring and understand dogs. They have been on top of any medical situations and the dogs love playing all day. I'm totally comfortable leaving them there even when we travel for extended periods.

I've used this place for long term stays for my dog before, what everyone says is true, It DOES stink awful. This last time I used them this past weekend the main guy was extremely rude to the point I thought I was going to have to fight him. I WILL NOT use their services again, after picking my dog up I had to give him a thorough bath. I'm giving 2 stars because of this last encounter and the staff bi polar type behavior. Pay the extra money and take your pet somewhere nice.

Hands down the best dog boarding and grooming in the KC Metro! The owner Steve is a dog whisperer - our senior dogs are typically shy and fearful, but always leave happy and relaxed after a visit at Dog's Worlds of Fun! And their haircuts are always 10/10.

Recently took my brother's dog there to board for about 2 weeks because of a moving situation. I was already cautious seeing some of the poor reviews on here and on Yelp, but decided to give them a chance anyway. The staff seemed nice and friendly, so I thought it wasn't going to be that bad...When we got him back, he looked and smelled filthy and was noticeably skinny. He needed to go to the vet soon after that and the doctor told us that he was extremely underweight for his size and age, as if he hadn't been fed at all for the past few weeks. That's right, this place wasn't even making sure he was eating well enough, or worse, wasn't feeding him at all. I understand that some dogs can under-eat when stressed out, but not to this extent and not for so long. On top of that, his food bag that we brought there for him was missing a lot of food, much more than what would be missing even if they had been feeding him properly. Where did all the food go? Did they give it to another dog?Regardless, I would advise anyone to avoid this place. It's the cheapest place for dog boarding in the KCMO area, and you are definitely getting what you pay for. Spend a couple bucks more and get your dog actually taken care of

I've been taking my dogs to Dog's World of Fun for almost 2 years now. Not only do I know they are well taken care of, but my dogs seem genuinely happy to be there. Steve and Rusty are very friendly and accommodating.

My dog loves it here and is always tuckered out when I pick him up. I have used this daycare for only during the day and for overnights when I'm out of town. I would suggest a bath before you pick up your dog. You have to remember that your dog is playing with their friends all day long. I don't have time to give my little pup a bath, so it's nice that the grooming service is offered.

Awful place, idk how it’s not shut down. Someone needs to call animal services and report cruelty and neglect and lock them up. Negligent place that has no true care for a clean and safe place to care for animals.

We knocked on the door at 628 am and it opens at 630. We did not realize that those 2 minutes would make a big difference because when we walked in we noticed the owner was very irritated. I understand abiding by the rules as a customer and we meant no harm by it but as I proceeded to ask him his name and a few other questions about my dog's stay there, he immediately got an attitude with me as if my concern about my dogs stay was a nuisance to him ( I did not feel good in my heart about this place at this point and even when he tried to grab my dog out my hands, I hesitated because of this man's attitude, there was nothing that said friendly that was genuine ). I guess he took all his frustration out on us from all the other customers who knocks on the door early because he eventually told us he was upset that we did that.I was with another person and as I asked more questions, he kept saying " as I already told the other person on the phone" and then proceeded to tell me the answer to my questions in an irritated manner. This was my very first impression of him and It was absolutely horrible which did not make me feel secure in leaving my dog there that I deeply care for. Because of his initial irritation and attitude with us, he did not receive a smile from me, not one bit, and lets just say that our brief interaction escalated and could have got a lot worse. We ended up shaking hands in the end as a truce. The only reason I put my dog in his hands that morning was becasue I had to catch a train that was leaving in 1 hour or else I would have never left my dog there. We left him there for 5 days and 5 nights and on the morning of picking my dog up, he smelled horrible, his butt was loaded full of poop and he had poop and other dogs hair in his dogie bed ( I threw the whole bed in the trash!). His eye was closed because it was crusted up from a mucus secretion ( I can tell nobody paid attention to him) My dog is visibly thinner and I am not sure if it's becasue of the eating conditions there or his refusal to eat due to a strange environment. I am not knocking his years spent taking care of dogs but from my very own personal experience, will I ever take my dog back? Absolutely not!!!!!!

AVOID THIS BUSINESS. We have taken our dogs to this establishment a total of two times for both boarding and daycare and will never be going back. Our two dogs used to get excited at the sound of the word "daycare" as they are both very social and love playing with other dogs. They practically dragged us through the doors of the place we used to take them. When we moved to Kansas City we decided to try this place out and the first time we took them in we did not notice anything amiss except the rather pungent smell of urine in the building. When we picked our dogs up they seemed tired (as usual for daycare) so we didn't think anything of it and agreed to go back in the future. The second time we went in our year and a half old puppy did NOT want to go. He was very fearful of the owners and the other dogs and firmly planted his feet on the ground in protest. After he saw a few dogs playing he hesitantly went in but that raised a major red flag for us as he is an EXTREMELY social and playful creature. When we picked him up he couldn't have gotten out of there faster, nor could we. The place was extremely unkempt and smelled so badly of urine that it burned our throats. Since that visit we have had to invest in advanced behavioral training with a local trainer to rid our puppy of fear aggression. He is now extremely fearful of people (males especially) and cannot be trusted on a leash around other dogs. We can also tell a difference in our smaller dog who only visited this daycare once. He is fine around people but is now highly agitated around other dogs and does not want to interact with them at all. Our neighbors have even commented on the changes in our dogs' dispositions, wanting to know why they aren't as friendly. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially after reading similar reviews. I don't know exactly what went on there that frightened our dogs so badly but we are extremely upset that we trusted this business to take care of our dogs and they came back to us terrified.

My dog LOVES to go here, he is always stinky when he comes home b/c he plays and get slobbered on, but that is ok, b/c he has fun! (I just give him a bath no big deal)I have been taking my dog here for years, they even know him when I call to let them know he is coming, it's like he's family ;)

Without a doubt, the best doggie daycare I could ask for. They really care personally about all the dogs I've had stay here over the years!

I've been taking my dog here for years, and he loves it. The minute we get around the corner to DWOF, his ears perk up ( French bulldog, his ears says it all). The staff is awesome, and they spoil my dog to death. For some reason my dog needs to have his food rolled into meatballs when he is there, and the staff actually does it! Now that is service..lol. If my dog may have suffered an injury, the staff is quick to point it out upon pick up. As far as my dog smelling of urine, and being a tad dirty..it's doggy boarding!! It's going to happen. Have the staff give your pet a bath before pick up. The extra service is not that expensive. Keep up the good work DWOF!

They are great with my dog, and the prices are great, including grooming--I can afford to have her groomed every time I go out of town at these prices. Does she sulk when we show up? Of course. She misses me!

Never taking my dog back here. My dog was terrified and they shaved his face after I specifically told them how I wanted my dog groomed. They also shaved his belly too close and he was bleeding in several spots where they cut him. He won't stop licking those spots so they must hurt. Poor thing also stinks like urine. These guys should be shut down.
