We went in and were immediately greeted with a welcoming smile! We had just came from a different diner that we had a poor experience with and wanted some dessert. We got a couple of banana splits and they are HUGE! Definitely worth the money! Highly recommend!

Good food, and it was clean (even the restroom)! The workers were friendly. Will go again. Have been back several times for ice cream cones & flurries. They are very good too!

The tenderloin was freaking amazing. And the onion rings were just as good. Very fresh and hot. I'm from 50 miles away and I would drive there daily to eat if I could afford it. Definitely worth your time and money!! This is the second time and I have to say they didn't disappoint!! Although the staff seemed a little pushy this time. Oh well I guess it could a just been me. The tenderloins and onion rings are awesome!!!

It took a little bit for anyone to notice that I was standing at the counter. I looked around and checked outside at the walk-up window, but their business hours were not posted anywhere! I ask the girl who brought my order about the business hours, and she told me she thinks they might be posted on Facebook!

As their name would indicate, I believe the majority of their business that they conduct has to do with ice cream. However, as far as I'm concerned these folks have the best food in town with service that is second to none. I appreciate that they are a small family owned establishment with a quiet and inviting atmosphere. The owner's children even run the place and they do a phenomenal job from all that I can see. This is Kahoka's hidden gem 💎

We discovered this gem on our way home from a shopping trip. This is a true family-owned small-town treasure! They serve standard diner food (burgers, tenderloins, chicken & fish sandwiches, all varieties of homemade sides) cooked to order. I like that it is very clean but not overly decorated, just a few cute sayings adorning the walls. Portions are generous & prices are great. Mom & I had lunch for under $10. Save room for dessert because they have an extensive list of ice cream creations; you'll want to try them all. We will make this a regular stop whenever we are anywhere close to Kahoka MO!

Stopped in on our way through town Food was very good and ice cream was delicious. Only downside was it took over an hour for our food and when it was finally ready no one told us so we ended up waiting even longer. We would definitely go again.

Waited 45 min for cold food. Their cup of soup was 1/4 cup. We ordered a hot meal and it came out cold. There was not even anyone else there eating

Waiter put all our food in one basket that we had to share. We were the only people in the store. Why treat a customer as an inconvenience when they are the only customer. Used to come here everytime we come to Missouri to see my grandma.

If you ever have a hankering for great ice cream and fried Midwest specialties, the Ice Cream Shoppe in Kahoka, MO is the answer. I ate largest tenderloin sandwich that I have ever seen. (The tiny bun seemed designed to look comical.) And my wife's chocolate shake tasted like real chocolate and not some syrupy imitation. If the quality of the food isn't enough, the family that runs the joint will bless you with warmth and kindness.

We both had the sloppy joe... Tho they aren't as sloppy as they use to be. The meat use to fall out the bun when u took a bite. NO CHANCE OF THAT HAPPENING ANYMORE. WHERE'S THE BEEF?!??! AND HUBBY HAD A SHAKE. THOSE ARE ALWAYS AMAZING. HE does love his icecream!! Me too. It was all good!

Love going here with the kids. It's cute, people that work here are polite and usually high school kids. Great food and wide selection of ice cream treats.
