Great and friendly place. They got my 10 week old puppy in, the same day i called and identified his broken leg within minutes. The doctor was very professional and i had no trouble trusting my puppy in her hands. Fixed him up in a cast in no longer that 4 hours. The cast looks good and i have no doubts he will have a successful recovery. Thank you Southwest Animal Hospital. You rock!

Southwest Animal Hospital is the greatest hospital in Jefferson City. I had to put my dog down yesterday evening. He was 12 years old and I got him he was like 5 years old.

SWAH is what keeps the wheels turning as far as community pet wellness goes. Not only do they treat my fur babies as one of their own, their interactions with me are top notch. From the polite greeting at the door to the welcoming smile from all the staff. I can't speak for my pets, but as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't take my girls anywhere else. Thank you

We have four dogs, so we had two appointments. The first appointment was in the evening which is a wonderful convenient option, so we didn’t have to take off work. The vet tech and vet were great with both of our dogs. We had brought in a puppy and a large senior dog, so we had two vastly different needs for them and the needs and all of our questions were addressed and they provided us with great information. Our other two dogs were seen the following day. This was also a great visit with Dr. Beddoe and her vet tech. They managed to get the nails cut on a very large dog that wanted no part in having his long overdue nails cut. Everyone that we encountered was extremely pleasant and you can tell everyone working there loves animals. If you’re looking for a place that has convenient hours and people that care about your pets, then Southwest Animal Hospital is the place for your furry family members!

I have been taking my fur babies to Southwest Animal Hospital ever since it opened. Always very accommodating and try to help as soon as they can. The staff is very businesslike while you can tell how much they enjoy the pets that are their patients!!

I seriously never want to come here again. Every time we tried to address our dog's issue they just wanted to run multiple tests every month (each test is 300$ and I'm just a college age part time worker, no matter how much I tried to bargain with them they would not budge.) Even after the tests they still couldn't tell me what was wrong with my dog. It's clear to me that they don't really care about the animals and that money is what they're after. They want to squeeze every penny out of you. They talk big about their "amazing services" yet don't even offer baths which any other vet does.

I asked how much it would cost, 225.00 for the whole package, simple check-up. I take my dog for annual check-up, i paid 188.00$. after that I brought the pup sample and they wanted $33.00 more. Also they asking now $195.00 in heartworm needle, what is this. my dog very Health cost me that much if he would be sick ,god help us

I have been a client at Southwest Animal Hospital for 12 years and can honestly say that the staff and doctors are the best. They absolutely care about the patient and the owner. You can tell that everyone there does their best to make sure everyone receives the best care possible. The doctors take the time to explain everything to the owner and answer any question you may have. I also like that they are open until 8pm on weekdays and from 8am - 2pm on Saturdays. Another one of the great services they have is the online pharmacy. My dog takes several medications and I can order refills online and have them shipped to my home. That saves me a trip into town. All in all I can say that I am very happy and pleased with the staff and doctors and the care they provide.

The best service all around for my fur babies. Even after I lost one due to a terrible accident, they took care and kept her comfortable till the Rainbow Bridge and made everything right for me to be able to say goodbye to her at the end. They care for my other 2 like family still. <3

We have been with SWAH since the late 90's. All the veterinarian's we have seen over the years have always put our animals first and have been understanding regarding our financial situation and never forcing treatments that we're beyond our financial capabilities. We travel full-time with our animals and SWAH has been outstanding regarding responses to emails and phone calls when we have had questions/concerns about our pets. I would highly, highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality care for their pet.

I can't thank the staff and Dr. Matt enough! I thought the clinic was an emergency care facility, so i brought my kitty in late at night with what i thought was a broken leg injury from possibly being hit by a car. The staff was so friendly and was able to squeeze us in and treat my sweet Felix that night. They truly care about our fur family! Felix is back to his old self enjoying his favorite spot 😊 Thank you!!

I'm upset with the lack of compassion and sympathy given to my pets at Southwest. I expected some compassion since my pets are in critical condition. During the second visit for an X-ray for my guinea pig. One of Dr. Byrd’s technicians with slim, young, ginger hair handling my pet was rude and unsympathetic. She was sarcastic and rushed the visit, leaving me with no care advice or pain medication for my pet. I felt rushed and left hanging while my pet was in pain, I went home in tears. Despite not seeking free services, I expected some compassion since my pets were in critical condition. I wouldn’t recommend southwest to anyone and won’t continue services here.

Southwest hospital is the best vet, grooming, and animal hospital around. I trust their staff with my furbabies and they have always provided excellent service, even saving two of my babies in the past with immediate surgery and care. The staff makes you feel like family and truly cares about every animal that walks through their door.

Very professional very one on one. Difficult time for our family as we had to say goodbye to our jakeypoo. The hardest decision one should never have to make. Our vet came to our home that was important to us, she handled everything and we fell apart. They did everything we requested and helped us make informed decisions.
