They stock St. Croix and G. Loomis rods which are hard to find in the area. They had the exact mojo bass rod that i was looking for in stock which was a welcome surprise. Very nice and helpful staff, wide selection of artificial baits and live baits. I will be returning!

I go here occasionally to get baits and hooks and I’ve always had a good experience. They have anything and everything you could possibly need (at least when it comes to bass fishing) I don’t really fish for any other species intentionally. The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is because nothing is perfect.

EXCELLENT Place to buy fishing gear, live bait or what ever you need, If they don't have it ask and they can order it ,If you need a favorite reel that needs to be repaired they will send it off to be fixed like new very inexpensive. I will continue to do business with Mertens! LOVE IT :)

I love this tackle shop I've been going there all my life and I will go there as long as the doors are open they have everything you will ever need to go fishing in Missouri and Beyond so if you ever need fishing gear even if you lived away from there it's worth the small Drive or even a medium or long driving my opinion the people there have been there they're knowledgeable their prices are right they will treat you right so go catch some big old fish but first get your tackle from Mertens Bait and Tackle
