Disappointed in the custom cake we ordered from the bakery and picked up today. The handwriting was very unskilled and the frosting work was sloppy and looked unfinished. Completely unacceptable for the price. We won’t be ordering from this location again and I wouldn’t recommend anyone ordering from here if this is the skill level for a basic cake.

Mostly use online ordering. It's really not a hard concept, all it takes is for someone to grab a bag that another associate has prepared and take it out to a vehicle waiting outside. Even someone from management could do this simple task especially considering their office is right next to the entrance 🤔. Could just be that time of the year but the wait time is getting longer and longer for simple online orders submitted a day before. Also, they are building a gas station... parking here already sucks 💀

Great store. Prices are competitive and accurate per labels unlike Hy-Vee. There is a new gas station going in so you can use your fuel points.

Highly disappointed with the produce section. Allot of the onions, potatoes, melons, plums, nectarines, and garlic were rotten, oozing and moldy. The lunch-ables were extremely bare the last several weeks. The cashiers are rude, barely speak to you and often talk to other cashiers or baggers instead. Other staff in the aisles are rude as well

I specifically asked for an easy off lid and this is what I got. I had a stroke and can't open this kind of lid. Do better Gerbes.

It is almost impossible to shop in this store anymore. No matter what time of day you go in to shop there are pallets of merchandise throughout the store blocking aisles and items you are trying to get to. The staff that are stocking the shelves look at you like you are in their way. HyVee is just a couple of miles further for me but I will be heading that way more often moving forward.

Love gerbes on Truman. It's not the store it's the employees🙂 Sammy,Jacob,Scooby and everyone that i cant remember at the moment . Been doing my grocery shopping there for years. Multiple grocery stores are closer to my home but I will always shop at Gerbes on Truman.

First let me say the deli has really good hot food.............when you can get it.I don't know what has happened to this store recently, but a person used to be able to go in around 10:30 and there would be hot food ready. Over the past few months that has steadily gone up. I was there a couple of days ago and had to wait until 11:30 to get fried chicken. No other meats cooked, and some didn't even start cooking until 11 am. Do better.

They have Excellent service and excellent customer service and very good fried chicken and other Prepared foods in hot deli and very good deli meats and cheese and pre made sandwiches and very good donuts and very good vegetables in produce department and household products and hair accessories and just about every thing that you need in grocery store and they have pharmacy inside store

Carla supposedly and I say supposedly very loosely the customer service manager at the front desk at the Gerbes location she’s very unruly unapproachable unfriendly and just flat out rude! If you’re gonna be in a leadership position and you’re gonna work the customer service desk at a grocery store you need to learn to be hospitable courteous friendly nice kind and be a leader. Not only am I a regular in the store I’ve also been a five year veteran of the Kroger brand as a customer service front and manager a fourth key position manager in the central store grocery isles and I am not trying to gloat I just want people to realize other people have been in your shoes I approach the customer service desk to get some change which I’ve done before several times I also am friends with the Director of operations and the store manager at one of the other managers Larry this woman is very nasty she flat out tells me it looks me up and down with absolutely no emotion on her face I can’t tell you change we don’t sell change here what’s the what? All I’m gonna say is this small town in a small town narrowminded people unfortunately those are some of the people that are in leadership roles today that have no reason to be in one!!

It's always clean, and the employees are always friendly. Gerbes always mails me coupons on the items I buy from them, not ones I will never use. There are almost always good sales going. With coupons and their discount card their prices are competitive.

Favorite store in Jeff. They have got the nicest and most helpful staff! I was upset with them switching around the store, but now I like it and it's easy navigating! Never had a problem with this store! Oh! And there deli is delicious most of the time! They have a lot of good deals too!

Close to my office, this is great store that always has great sales, decent customer service and excellent fried chicken in the deli. The produce department can very hit and miss. The prices for the most part are very expensive for the quality of produce that's there. Many times the shelves are half empty, the produce looks old and wilted. You're better off driving to Hyvee for quality or Aldis on the boulevard for good prices.The bakery has a tiny selection of Mexican bread, bagels and donuts, WHEN they get the products out in a timely fashion. Don't come early or before 9 am or most of the items will be still sitting in the cooling carts behind the counter. But if you ask for something, they are are good at getting it for you.Parking can be a challenge but I try to come early. Guys in the deli are always friendly and helpful as are most of the cashiers.PS. The liquor store portion is pretty well stocked. :-)

I go out of my way to come here. I really like the produce and meat departments. They are always fresh, and very good priced. The hot deli is good, but is usually closed when I shop. The bakery bread is a bit lacking, but I like their bagels. Something that I can't figure out is why they only sell club soda in 1 liter bottles, but that's a bit trifling. I'm not a fan of self check outs though.

Great grocery store with good prices and solid discounts if you have a Gerbes card. They have name brand merchandise, but they also carry Kroger products which are of good quality. Workers are friendly and helpful! It feels like a home town grocery store!

One of my go-to places to get groceries. If you are a member they have great prices. A lot of gluten free items are easy to pick up because they put a purple GF on the price displayed on the shelves

Husband & I shop close to everyday here. The customer service is terrible. Have talked to management a few times. Both of us had been in the grocery business many years & have a hard time with it. We use to just laugh it off until it never stopped. Checkers & baggers don't listen. We always place our groceries up in the way they should be bagged & then tell them I want freezer things together in a double brown bag. None has ever been able to figure out how to double the bag. I've asked if I could show them but none has let me. If all frozen foods don't fit they just through it in a plastic bag with whatever else. I ask my cold things be put in double plastic, doesn't happen. Heavy items are to be put in double plastic also. Doesn't happen. The two are usually talking & laughing not at all paying attention. Mind you I've placed all frozen first, all cold next, all dry groceries & all non food items & always tell them I've placed them all divided into how they should be bagged...??? This is just the check out experience. Nobody Cares!
