Came into the store after attempting to call in to place a carry out order (no one answered over multiple calls). Thought maybe they were busy, but I walked in and went to place my order. It took a few minutes before someone took my order. Once I did, ALL the employees went to the back. I went around the far side of the counter and saw them all just sitting back on their phones. After about 10 minutes of waiting, one of the employees finally started working on my sandwich. I've now been waiting almost 20 minutes now. Not to mention I have heard the phone ring multiple times, and no one has attempted to answer it. Great place, but employees need to be re-evaluated.Update: after 22 minutes, sandwich has made its way in the oven 😡🤬

Thirty five minutes from when my card was charged until i received my single sandwich. There were four people "working" and two orders ahead of mine. Two of the employees were just hanging out flirting while the other two very slowly constricted sandwiches and calling orders at a pace of around one every ten minutes. If this place was any slower I'd burn more calories waiting than I consumed eating.

Hateeeee to do this. But yall that was something yesterday. I placed an online order for pickup at 2:15, no big deal I ran some errands to wait. I came in around 2:18ish and was told sorry, the pickup time was at 2:15 but we’re running behind. No problem I said and got my drink at sat down. Fast forward to 2:35, my food wasn’t ready yet, but an employee had been running around the counter and having the entire team look for her headphones. Once she gave up and everyone’s back was turned looking, she hit that front register, snatched 2 fat cookies from the basket, shoved them in her pants and said eh, let me know if you find em and walked out. Y’all can watch cameras, that killlllled me lol. “2:35”Thennnn, my food I think was still in the process but the manager couldn’t make it. His eyes were too focused on watching the pro bowl games on tv for a good few minutes at a time, so my sandwich was a little cold by the time I got it. So yeah, what I got from my experience was show up about 20-30 minutes after the pickup time, the employees lovvvvee dem cookies and will do anything to get one, and that if there’s something on TV at the same time as your food is being made, you won’t get it for a minute. Hope she found her headphones, or if she had them all along I hope those cookies were good 😂

First and foremost when we walked in the door the young man who was the manager there immediately told the girl in the back to call the police on us. He neglected to even ask or inquire whatsoever if my dog was a service animal didn't ask me anything didn't say anything to me was immediately going to call the police thankfully I read lips. Never asked me never said a word. Secondly he waited until we got our food and came to the table and ordered my daughter to either put on a different shirt or leave the store. He said the word on her shirt was offensive. Number two that is censorship and it's illegal freedom of speech is allowed everywhere. Number three he had no business trying to enforce a dress code on a store that does not have one. I found him to be rude and nasty and I will never visit that store again. If this is the example of what Firehouse Subs is then they don't need my money or my business!!!Their employees should be informed of the Ada rule on service animals.I do not recommend this store to anyone!

My mother and I waited for about 20 minutes because a female employee with brown hair and pearcings dropped the meat for her sandwich in the trash. 20 minutes for the Engine seems a little unreasonable, the sandwich is very tasty my mother said. The two girls at the register were very nice and polite. Other than the wait the place is very clean.

We had a truly wonderful experience at this location. My husband and I frequent the other Columbia location about twice a month. The last several times the service was terrible. They never gave my daughter the hat with her meal and I always had to ask for the rice krispie treat. The last time at that location the manager complained that we tracked footprints onto her freshly mopped floor. At 1pm. On a Saturday. We hadn't been back and decided we would give this location a chance, as we love their sandwiches. It was a night and day difference. The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely be back!

I love this place. The employees are some of the friendliest people I have ever met. They are willing to assist their customers in any way they can. They go beyond typical expectations. The area is kept very clean and organized. They also make it easy to contribute to the charity they stand behind without being intrusive. They manage to get the community involved in activities that are beneficial to everyone in the area. The bonus is that the food is amazing. They serve the best subs. Another bonus is kids 12 and under get a free meal with the purchase of an adult meal.

I got the brisket and cheddar. The serving size was terrible. I will go next door where you get what you pay for! It’s been a while since I been here. Btw don’t assume I want a combo meal!!! $2.50 for a Soda what the heck is wrong with you people?? I just wanted sandwiches not chips and a drink…like everything it’s all gone up. Your telling us you won’t be in business much longer!!!!

It used to be a lot better. The guy that took our order seemed like he hated his job. I ask for no ranch and no onion on my sandwich. When I got it there was ranch on it. I took to the guy that took my order. He said they will make another one. I got the new one and it had onion on it! I took the onion off and ate it. It doesn't sound that bad. It is just the way the employees acted more than anything.

This place had MUCH better subs than subway and they had a fresher taste for around the same price. The staff there are extremely helpful and friendly giving you a very welcome environment. Not only that but you can also help your community officers! They make it really easy to round up your bill to the nearest dollar to support local rescue workers! I would honestly give 10 stars of it was an option!

If you here in Jefferson City and you don’t come here to get your subs then tell me the better place. Quick and friendly service a very clean establishment and quality food. I recommend if you eat out often that you ad this to your list of spots

Food is phenomenal! Service was very friendly and helpful for first time customers. Offered suggestions, answered questions, and even took down my name so I could purchase some of their famous 5- gallon sized pickle jugs for two dollars that helps a good cause. Will definitely be returning here for future dine-ins!

I love their subs but tonight was not as good as usual. I did not get my pickle on the side and their idea and mine of extra sauce is clearly not the same. The wheat bread as well tasted almost dry or stale. For the price I expect a much better sandwich. Will try again.

Never had a bad experience here. The focus seems to be on good customer experience and good food. The staff is friendly and attentive. I'm not good with names but can say both Tracy and Eric have made each visit memorable. If recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable enjoyable meal.

This place is wonderful. Best sub shop in the area. High quality food and really friendly people.Try the New York Steamer--I had the medium; Yum!Parking: Parking is crowded as there are two other businesses next to the sub shop, but not a big problem with patience.

i went in and ordered a sub and while i was waiting quietly in the lobby, the GM tracy came out and jumped on top of the counter screaming “GEEEEEET OOOOOUUUUUUT!!” at me over and over. i was concerned she was possessed and grabbed my sun and ran out. she chased after me and continued screaming slurs until i left in my car. she then called the cops on me and i told them what happened and they went back for her. but i saw her working there today so maybe this firehouse enjoys having psychotic managers. i’d suggest you NEVER eat at this firehouse!!

I'd never been here before and this was a great experience. Both gentlemen working were polite and even checked on us after we'd gotten our food. The food itself was delicious! I would definitely go again!

Current economic times are in full display with Firehouse. Sandwich is infected with shrinkflation at all levels. Certainly will not return this year, or perhaps next. They had a good run but out of gas now.

If I could leave a .001 star, I would. If you enjoy eating at an establishment where the general manager has such little professionalism as to scream at her youngest team member when they get a little busy, this is the place for you! I was appalled at the way the gm yelled at the young lady when the young lady asked what the gm wanted done next.When your inability to keep your cool under pressure results in picking on the youngest member of your staff, maybe you need to find a new career. I was told they were understaffed that day....no wonder! I wouldn't work for that gm either!To the young lady-I would like to tell you-not all gms behave that way (not capable ones, anyway). I hope you find a place of employment that treats you better than the gm at Firehouse Subs.

Food was decent enough. Experience was awful! It was lunch time and the place was crowded. Sat at the only table, and the guy next to us was on his phone (on SPEAKER), for ever. So annoying. Then realized he had a name badge that said Franchisee. Then the store manager sat down with him and they had a meeting. She yelled a welcome to everyone coming in the door ( over us!). Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Maybe they need a back room? Some consideration for guests? Never going there again.

Found an ARTERY in my sandwich (It was definitely an artery, I work with dead animals). Whatever, stuff happens, it probably happened in the processing factory. But then I asked if I could have a different sandwich and showed them the artery and they REFUSED to make me another sandwich.

Amazing food. There isn't a FHS near us so when I am in a town with one I always make sure to stop. Have had amazing experiences at every location I have ever went to, except this one. Stopped in Jefferson City yesterday and ordered 3 subs, I get them out to my car and my MIL and I seen ours was wrong, so I took them back in to be corrected, wasn't mad, no biggie. The guy correcting them was rude as soon as I walked in. Fixed them and all but tossed them on the counter at me. First impressions are everything, and unfortunately this employee put a bad taste in my mouth. I will still support all FHS anywhere else, just not the JC location.
