I really, really wanted to like this place. It may have been after spending the morning at MQC my expectations were high. This little shop nestled in the town square of Jamesport, MO was disappointing. When we walked into the shop we were the only customers present among 3-4 staff members and no one greeted us. I understand that not being greeted does not effect our ability to shop but it certainly set a tone to the experience. The selection was decent, but the lighting made it hard to see some of the fabric colors. In addition, the staff moved like molasses. However while we waited we were privy to a business call one of the staff member was having. This was made possible by the entire call being on speaker phone. Ironically the call was about how to bring more customers to their shop. (I have some ideas) about They do have several beautiful quilts on display, (possibly for sale) which we enjoyed seeing. This entire little area of downtown in Jamesport has the potential to be its own little gem. However, the vibe is not friendly or welcoming. Not to mention this is one of many shops we visited that didn’t have a public restroom. There are enough shops in the town square to keep you there for a few hours. But not one shop we stopped at had a public restroom. (FYI the H & M Market about one mile down the road has a public restroom.)

Fabulous quilt shop with terrific customer service. Lots of good fabric there plus patterns. They always have sale fabrics too. Plus they have a decent selection of handmade quilts there for sale. Just love visiting there.

Great owners or staff. They were so friendly, helpful and shared great information about the town. Great selection of fabrics and patterns. I even got the cutest little quilt keychain. Seriously adorable and handmade by a local woman! Just a wonderful experience and I can’t wait to come shop again! Thank you guys!

I went to all 3 fabric stores in town and Shearwood is the best. I was delighted to find high quality fabrics in stock, which I didn't expect in such an itty bitty town. The staff, Becca and Bill, were delightful and very helpful. The owner happened to be in the store when we were there and he was equally charming. Becca makes (Bill helps with the cutting) a wonderful kitchen gadget - a Potato Pouch for microwaving taters (also good for corn on the cob). They are modestly priced and extremely well made. Between me and my sister, we bought 7 of them, for us and for gifts. We bought 3 that were already made up, and I got to choose the fabric for the remaining 4 pouches to customize them for the specific people I'll give them to at Christmas...just have to wait a little while for Becca to sew and mail to me. Wonderful, genuine small town people. Stop in, you won't regret it. And don't forget to bring your Christmas list!

What a thrill when I found this store on fb. Instantly loved the quilts. Placed my order with wonderful, efficient young man that made the process enjoyable. With in days my beautiful quilts is on my bed.Best shopping experience ever!!! Thank you !! I will be ordering again.

Fantastic selection of Northcott Stonehenge Fabric, in fact the largest I have seen all together! People are friendly and provide great customer service! Highly recommend!

I am not a fabric shopper, but I want you to know this store is staffed with fine people. I accidently locked my keys in the car on a very hot day and a man named Joe (owner?) and his son came to help. My T-Mobile phone did not have a signal in Jamesport, so he made several calls trying to find someone local to open the car. He noticed I was uncomfortable and went to get me a chair and brought several bottles of water for me and the four ladies with me. Meanwhile, I passed out in the street! Several people kindly tried to help, but Joe helped me up and across the street to the store, offered chairs to my group, took my Triple AAA card and called roadside assistance, then kept checking on us till help arrived. I am so grateful that he took time out on a busy day to help me and I was not even a customer in his store. God bless you, Joe!

Huge variety of fabrics and supplies. Handmade Quilts by the local Amish with up to 100,000 stitches! Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Have a quilting machine there too!

This shop is amazing has a wide gift selection. As well as a wonderful quilting Fabric and pattern selection. Wonderful friendly service, if I'm the area again I would gladly stop it again.
