Picked up a 10 week old GSD puppy from them and he is an incredible dog so far. Got a clean bill of health from my vet, very smart and trainable, picking commands up quickly. They spent a lot of time answering questions I honestly couldn't be happier. Definitely recommend them if you are looking for a quality GSD.

I really like this place. Our dog totally loves Sweet Peas. Our cat not so much. But I think if they had a separate building to separate the dogs and cat would make a big difference for our cat. But I give these guys a 5 ⭐️

Sweet Pea Kennels took care of our fur babies while we were away for the weekend. I could tell that they had so much fun while we were gone! They went above and beyond for our pups and even gave them a bath before we picked them up! HIGHLY RECOMMEND SWEET PEA KENNELS!

Sweet peas is the best place to board your dogs while your away. They go above and beyond to make their stay great. We have a German Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees and they love the guys there. Our boys get excited when they see us making up their food bucket. Would recommend them to anyone who needs a place to board their pets.

The staff was very friendly and reassuring, however the condition in which my pet come back is completely unacceptable. He had lost so much weight, you could see his ribs. He had injury's all over his body that required a trip to the vet. My dog not only was Injured and malnourished, but had diarrhea for several days. I feel as though I spent 1800 just for my dog to be neglected.

I was not impressed. When my dogs were picked up they were both still wet from their bath. I called at 5:07pm the night before I told them I was picking them up & and was assured they would be bathed & dried by 11am the next day. By the way I called to have them picked up a day early because I did not feel at ease. When they were picked up, they both were still wet. Also, I had sent them their daily food in Ziploc bags as I was asked to do by the Kennel. There were only three bags of their food when there should have been six bags left because I sent 2 extra bags incase it was later on the original date scheduled for pickup. I was also advised that they may or may not have been in contact with a dog that had some “” fall allergy “” issue, and had been coughing and that if my dogs experienced this just to give them some Robitussin DM. When my dogs got home, they went straight into their kennels, which is very unlike them, especially since they just got home. That is the last thing that they would do. Maybe this place is OK for some but I will not be returning there nor letting my dogs stay there in the future. I did not feel at ease when I arrived I was uncomfortable while I was gone on my trip and even arrange for them to be picked up a day early. And I’m very glad that I did that. The people I spoke with, were all very nice, polite and friendly, but I’m not comfortable with taking my dogs back for boarding.In response to your reply….My dogs have been boarded before & when they returned home, they were social and loving, as always. Upon returning home from your facility, they were very unsocial went to their kennels and laid down. This is very unlike them. Also, the fall allergy you’re referring to was actually kennel cough, which one of my dogs contracted from your dog. if you would like to pay the vet bill of $103.60 I will be happy to let you. Also your recommendation of giving them Robitussin D should I notice them coughing is not what my veterinarian recommended at all. As far as the dogs being wet & you responding that you don’t blow dry them you tell dry them because some dogs don’t like it might I suggest you check with the owners first to see how their dogs respond to being blow dried.

They go above and beyond as compared to other kennels I have used before. They bathed my dog as part of the standard boarding and gave her the opportunity to run on their property. They seem to treat the boarded dogs as their own, which I greatly appreciate. They also have so many extra options I have not seen at other kennels. Additionally, they have Sunday pick-up, which was a blessing for me. Definitely recommend it, and I will definitely be bringing my dog back.

I boarded 4 dogs and 2 cats for five days. One dog has seizure medication he needs twice a day. This dog passed away there although he was acting normal. I do not believe he received his medicine twice a day as he had to have it to prevent seizures. He had no other health issues and was only 6 years old. My other animals were fine as they do not take medication daily. Just find it odd the dog with seizure medication passes away unexpectedly after not having problems for 3.5 years since being on medication. I did not receive the medication bottle back or the peanut butter jar provided. Overall my other pets had a great experience and they did take my dog who passed away to the cremation place for us. It may be my pregnancy hormones getting the best of me and overthinking the situation.

I bought my dog from Sweet pea a few months ago, she’s 8 months old now, and I have nothing bad to say about my experience! They were super cooperative with my girlfriend and I. We love our Georgia (our GSD’s name). She has a very high drive and she’s insanely smart. We definitely plan on getting another GSD from them in the future! They were very patient with us and answered every question we had. I’d recommend buying a puppy from them any day. You can tell they’re very careful about the blood lines in the dogs they breed to ensure a healthy dog. They put a lot of pride into their dogs for sure!

We purchased a German Shepard Puppy from Sweet Pea in April of 2019 We could not have asked for a better tempered puppy and dog. She is/was just the best. Recently I discovered that the dog has a fatal Liver issue. I called Steve and let him know that my dog is dying. Steve was very empathic and caring and he stood behind his health guarantee. The guys at the Kennel offered me a new puppy, and we picked her up two weeks ago. If you are in the Market for a quality GSD I highly recommend Sweet Pea Kennels. These guys run a first class operation and they are professional and care about the breed and quality of their animals. We will be using Sweet Pea when we buy another dog in the future. Thanks guys.

We bought a German Shepard puppy who was born April 2018 after the tragic unexpected loss of our previous puppy (completly unrelated). Within the first 10 months of our dogs life he was diagnosed with severe double hip dysplasia. Breeder said nothing could be done other than giving us a new puppy.......ummmm no! At 15 months old he had a difficult neuter due to only have one testicle (which WAS disclosed upon purchase) but was complicated to correct in surgury. Just 3 days after his 3rd birthday he had a FHO surgury on his right hip. We have had nothing but heartbreak ever since. Half the time he is barley able to walk, eat and play. He is so depressed. It's effecting my life and my families life more than I have ever seen with an animal or could imagine. We are devastated. We cherish every single moment with our sweet baby because of everything he has gone through. His mind is sharp and healthy but his body is so broken. Our team of vets said this can happen randomly like a freak mutation but it's also seen in over breeding and breeding older parents. I wouldn't change having him for the world, but its definitely made me think about purebred and getting any other dogs in the future.Reply for owner:Although I am happy with the service and the kindness from both Dave and Steve whom I spoke to on multiple occasions, we are still faced with a very difficult situation. I was told I could be given a new puppy but that is not what I wanted. We have full documentation of our puppy purchase from Sweet Pea Kennels in MO. Our dog was purchased under my husband's name which will not be disclosed. I spoke to the breeder via cell phone for a yearly update on our dog at 1 and 2 years of age (I believe it was Dave I spoke to but I have him in my phone is as my dogs breeder). This review is not negative to you as a buisness which is why I have a 2 star because all my questions where answered and I was treated nicely. I wrote my review to share my story and to let you and others know of an issues. I bavent called in this last year because honestly, what's the point and what will happened? I spoke to Dave (I believe) after my digs 1st birthday to let him know my pups diagnosis. We also have full documentation on our pups parents and yes, they have been hip certified and I know there is no guarante of good hips. I wanted to share my story in hopes that this heartbreak and financial burden won't happen to someone else.

Fabulous people and place! So happy we found Sweet Pea Kennels. They offer services above and beyond any other kennel, and they have so much outdoor space for the dogs. We were happy to know that our high energy dog would have tons of outdoor playtime while he was there. The owners have put a lot of thought into both the facility and the care they give. Bonus--the kennel stay included a bath! Awesome! This is the only kennel we'll use. Thank you!

The owners listened to all my concerns about leaving my 3 pups including one elderly dog for a 9 day trip. They stayed in the new kennels which had their own run and they could be out on nice days. All 3 came home looking healthy and happy. All pups were clean when we picked them up. Steve even checked with us the day we picked up to see when we were coming to make sure they were ready when we got there. I like that they had the freedom to go in and out at will. Since I had 3 I chose to do the deluxe boarding in 2 kennels next to each other so they could choose to go in whichever. This worked out well for us.

Outstanding place. The animals are pampered. I was so relieved that I found someone that I could trust with my babies. Also with having an aggressive dog I was very much relieved that the staff knew what to do and how to handle my boys.As long as Sweet Pea Kennels are in operation I for sure am a returning customer.

I have boarded my dogs there a couple times previous and it was ok, nothing spectacular. But this time was down right horrible. The main guy Steven seems nice and he's nice when he greets you and seems to like the animals, this time some other guy was working the kennel. We came in he sighed no less then 15 times during our 10 minute encounter, rude. He seemed annoyed and trying to rush us out. They place was dirty and smelled like piss. *side note I know there is a lot of animals but in the past it hasn't smelled or looked like this* I wanted to give our dogs blankets I was told NO, and why and I was like ok. Then I look and most if the other dog dont have any blankets they are just laying. On a hard concrete cell. They is not the roaming many acres of land they make it out to be. Also we were charged for early drop off even though we dropped of within the "drop off" time. Also they guy was limping and said some dumb dog there hurt his knee and just the way he said it made my skin crawl. And lastly.....while we were there to pick up our dogs there was a young girl washing a black poodle, in an arm brace (another injured staff???) This thing was sopping wet just got a "bath" was told to jump down and put back in its kennel. This poor dog was not dried and made to go back and shiver until it air dried. NEVER AGAIN, I've lost all trust.

They have watched our German Sheppard since he was 8 weeks old and now he is 3 years old. Best kennel around unless you like those kennels that puts them in cages. Go to these people. You will not regret it.

I up graded my pets stay. With treats as he get about 6 a day. He didnt get any. His bag was still full. I didnt get his blanket back . He did not get the bath before leaving as stated alison in the upgraded stayed . Was there for for 5 days.

I always bring my dog here when we go out of town for more then a few days & weather is bad. Never had an issue. Staff is super friendly and very nice. I know my dog is safe here with no worries.

This is the only place to take your family pets they are well taken care of and have plenty of room to run and play my dogs get grilled chicken with every meal and they even heat it up for us plenty of treats when we turn down sweet pea lane my girls know where we are art and are excites to be there don't take your family pets any where else this is closest thing to home you can get thank you to Steve and all the staff
